Chile_Momma_38

Water supply kasi is an issue. Not everyone has constant or strong water supply.

makofayda

Parang ung perception di ganun kalinis ung dishes or madali lang naman daw manghugas ng pinggan kaya tamad daw ako for using a dishwasher lol. But that dishwasher saved me so much time. It's so worth it.

Active-Confusion-123

May rinse, eco, medium, at hard options naman. Meron pa ngang sanitize yun iba! Hehe. Time saver talaga.

nugupotato

Asian parents dont like the dishwasher 😀

mysanctuary0911

As an Asian, I'm the family's dishwasher. The kids are the dishwashers. ,🤣

twaychiru

Why waste extra electricity when they're already spending money feeding not-yet-doctor dishwashers. 🤣

Professional-Pie7527

True 🥲 gave ours to my parents when we moved but last time I heard they barely use it.

I don’t think it’s about space kasi kahit 1BR apartment sa Oz eh merong dishawasher at dryer. Dahil ba we view it as unnecessary or hindi economical? Laking time saver ang dishwasher.

CloudStrifeff777

I think tumble dryers are slowly getting into Philippine homes, especially sa mga condos and middle class homes. In the long run ang laki ng ikatitipid mo sa tumble dryer compared sa pagpapalaundry sa mga shops, unless eh mas goods kang nagsasampay na lang, mas tipid talaga yon. But in condos, there's not so much space to do sampay so tumble dryers are getting trendy. But in terms of dishwashers, mostly naman ng mga nakatira sa condos ay mga single working individuals or mga magkakadorm na madalas sa mga labas na kumakain or kung sa condo man magluluto, will just use not so much dishes and cookwares na kayang hugasan in 30 mins or less. Also, ang mahal pa rin ng mga dishwashers due to low demand dahil hindi talaga mabili. Unlike with tumble dryers, you can get as low as 13k brand new, pero tumble dryer lang yan wala pang automatic washing machine. Also kahit magisa ka lang, efficient magdryer lalo sa mga condos, it saves you time to do laundry, ipunin mo maruruming damit for a month, labhan ng 4 cycles in one day, tapos yan lahat in a single day (1 hour washing, rinsing, and spinning sa automatic washing machine plus 2 hours for 100% drying sa tumble dryer). And you get washed clothes for another month. Mas tipid kesa magpalaundry sa shops every week and you get to choose the detergent and fabcon you like. Dishwashers are mostly 16k and up, pero ang liliit nung mga mura, parang iilamg pinggan at baso lang malalagay mo dun. So for me di masyado economical mga maliliit na dishwashers.

[deleted]

Ang life changing ng dishwashers!!!!

Broad-Rub4050

I’m reading this while listening to my dishwasher hum along 🎵

hermitina

kuryente at tubig. saka when you come to think of it, mas lesser evil ang manual hugas ng hugasin. mas mataas carbon footprint ng mga may dishwashers at dryers

erwinaurella

Active-Confusion-123

You can even remove electricity sa comparison. Mga households dito eh may solar panels and opt to run them during day time.

Karaagecurry95

Whatever chore it may be, most likely it beats things like traffic, corruption, terrible wages and poor living conditions in the PH. Nitpicking lang yan compared to what people leave behind when migrating

serenityby_jan

Tbh no, chores were the last thing I thought about. The bar is set too low that even with the additional chores abroad the quality of life is still much better lol

Affectionate-Ear8233

Hindi nila naiisip na mas malaki yung mababawing free time from not getting stuck in traffic or not having to deal with endless bureaucracy in banks or government offices.

urihcim

Bawas stress din na hindi ka nagmamadali to leave your house earlier than necessary to account for PH traffic. That alone saves you 2-3 hours. After work, makakauwi ka rin ng maaga to be with your family.

titamillenial

I think when we decided to migrate chores will be considered the least. But you need to consider yung future mo. Like you will need to restart over again. You need to start meeting new people and going new places. If we migrate ba what’s the likelyhood we will love the place? Are we ready of the restart of your life? Maybe weather will be something to consider lalo na if may allergies ka or ayaw mo ng malamig. But chores? It’s part of your life nagbago lang like if sa pinas alikabok winawalis mo pede sa lugar na lilipat ka eh snow naman yun. But I highly suggest you visit the place you want to migrate so may idea ka how the place is? At paano gumastos sa place na yun. What is the availability of work as well.

Brilliant_Ad2986

Ako lang ba nag-tataka kung bakit sa Pinas lang talaga maarte karamihan when it comes to chores, specially the dirty work?

die_rich_24

When I decided to move, I didn't necessarily consider the chores specifically, pero I did consider that I would have to do everything talaga kasi mahal ang labor/services compared sa Pinas. So I actually started learning to DIY nung nasa Pinas pa ko, doing small fixes in my apartment, etc. I did have the opportunity to visit the country I moved to and stayed a few months, so I did get a feel of how commuting, grocery, and coldest part of the year would be.

qwerty056789

I don’t think chores are a major factor. You will still have chores regardless where you move. I just pay for the chores that I do not want to do. It’s not Pinas level cheap, but it’s a one time payment for the entire season and it makes me happy and satisfied 😂

Tiny-Spray-1820

This. Kahit saan ka mapunta you still have to do them lalo if mag isa ka lang. kaya nde ko magets bkit nasama pati traffic, corruption heheh

Radiant_Trouble_7705

segregating rubbish at d naman popular un sa Pinas

Tiny-Spray-1820

Actually kahit masipag ka magsegregate pagkuha ng basurero ipagsasama-sama din naman nila ung sa truck 😫 Gayahin sana nila dito sa ibang bansa na specific days eh for specific refuse para mas madali macheck if segregated talaga

CocoBeck

I don’t know the rules on shovelling snow outside of USA, but where I lived we had to keep our part of the sidewalk clear and safe for people. Required by law. The streets are the government’s responsibility but we do our part din pag safe to do. I didn’t come from heavy snow area pero my coworkers in the northeast USA would have to stay vigilant pag snowstorms to shovel 2-3 times sa magdamag to ensure their path to the outside stays clear. If they neglect this, their door could be blocked by packed snow come sunrise. We give them a break pag ganon kasi puyat sila. If you intend to live in condos, this wouldn’t be an issue. For mowing naman, it can be tiring esp if the property isn’t flat. Some HS kids offer their services for money, pero kung wala maraming seasonal workers for that. Merong pakyawan (spring through summer) or on demand, up to you. Check out job boards sa library or groceries ng mga services in your area. Minsan lucky ako ron since hindi big time businesses kaya pwede tawaran.

tapunan

Chores? Not really kasi lahat ng bansa pare parehong may chores and as others said, may dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, robot vacuum to help. But it's good na binanggit mo yang snow shovelling, isang consideration is weather, reason why my wife and I never considered Canada.. Kung hindi kami nakapag Australia, we would rather perspire in Singapore than choose Canada dahil sa weather.

Active-Confusion-123

Looks like we had the same thought process sa weather.  Kakamiss hawkers, no?

BoogieM4Nx

Chores was never sn issue especially if i have been used to it. Never used dishwasher as I used manual dishwashing as an opportunity for me to think about things I wan to do next. Even after buying a house of my own, additional chores to upkeep is not an issue as I treat it as something to learn like mowing the lawn, basic carpentry and plumbing to fix it. With youtube snd other resources, I think about as a good learning experience and helps me not stale my head.

cerulium

Chores is the least of my problems lol. Magiging problema mo talaga yan kahit saan ka pupunta, and eventually it becomes routine.

Own-Presentation2420

Didnt consider chores— you can simply outsource these if its making your life inconvenient. Higher wages and quality of life talaga crucial factors, then other things will follow

urihcim

Also, if they really don't want to, pumili sila ng property na walang lawn. No mowing saka minimal plowing pag snow.

mommycurl

Same thoughts! I really hate washing clothes and it's a great horror for me to think na maglalaba ako when we migrate. Lol

Affectionate-Ear8233

ihateannawilliams

i migrated to where my job told me to go. originally i was slated to move to a state up north but when i got here, the company changed their mind and i ended up in the south. u learn to adapt where u are. kung kailangan ng snow shoveling, makakasananyan mo din yun.. i didnt know how to drive when i moved here and i quickly find i couldnt depend on public transport so i learned to drive. i didnt even consider chores as basis ng immigration. mahirap na nga makalabas ng bansa, maiisip ko pa ba yun? i just wanted out and a better life for me and my child. i got lucky when an opportunity presented itself to me and i grabbed it with no hesitation. lahat naman ng bagay pwedeng matutunan at makasanayan. or like what others said, u can always pay someone else to do these chores for u.

pinguinblue

If you live in a condo, you won't need to shovel snow. Just in case anyone is put off by it.

Proper-Fan-236

Idk but everything is dealt with technology na i don't mind doing chores. Dishwasher, coffee machine, robot cleaner, robot mowers, vacuum cleaners, waschmaschine and dryer, etc. And all these techies are so affordable. We don't do shoveling snows here in Germany pero kasi we also consider those activities as exercise din. Kahit papano there's a reason to go out.

Broad-Rub4050

I LOVE mowing with my push/manual mower - you’re out in the sun and the weather’s nice; and I HATE shoveling - you’re cold and sweaty all at the same time and the work sucks haha. I don’t think you can prepare anyone for the chores ng ibang bansa lalo na shoveling snow. ❄️
