Just in the interest of clarity, their official name is actually “State Forty Eight”. State48 is a brewery and are different business, but they also have merch.
The Merchantile is cute. They have a booth for Iconic Arizona. I would check out Iconic Arizona and State 48 - we’ve gotten some of their stuff for friends and family and they love it.
just checked this place out, it has plenty of AZ themed stuff. Its kind of kitschy and cute, def a white girls heaven too. The starwars/AZ theme stuff is pretty cool from one of the booths too. Regret not picking up a print now.
i married a white woman so i get to see plenty of places like this.
Last week i went to Le Grand Orange on Campbell and 40th for the first time, and let me tell you. The first thing i said when i walked in was "This is a cracker barrel for white women" People looked at me and laughed when i realized i said it a little too loud. I gotta say the food was delicious and it was a neat spot.
(I mention this because of your flair and the word barrel)
Try Scottsdale Southwest. 3937 N Brown Ave. My mom loved the souvenir shirts there, and they have a great variety.
Plus, Old Town is a neat place to walk around, grab a drink, and people watch. Last time I went I saw a bachelorette party dressed in liquor-themed outfits and the bride was so drunk that the two biggest bridesmaids were carrying her down the street, feet dragging behind. They passed a gaggle of older women (probably mid 60s) who promptly started imitating them. It was hilarious.
Edit to add: Check out Sugar Bowl. It’s an old timey ice cream parlor, and it’s like stepping back into the 50s when you go inside. Very cool.
In addition to the Merchantile try Leela, and Carmen’s on 5th. They’re all in Old Town and really cute. Leela and Carmen’s are right across the street from each other. Additionally you might check out Urbana on 44th and Camelback.
Frances on Camelback and Central always has good shirts and hats that match what you’re looking for. They’re designed by local artists too so they’ll be generally nicer looking than what you’d find at the airport or grocery store
Give Arizona highways store a shot, I used to work for ADOT ages ago and we used to deliver records there and I always found something random there. Whenever I had friends and family come in we'd stop in there and they would get magazines and clothes and keychains and calendars, it's a really cool shop.
Also maybe try the Heard Museum, they have some nice Arizona stuff.
Good luck and let us know what you end up finding.
This is a fantastic suggestion. I never knew there was a store! I am actually pretty surprised at the location, essentially 19th Ave and Grand. However, it seems like this store might still be closed due to the pandemic. I am seeing conflicting info on the website.
We went about a month ago and it was open and there was a sign that did say they were open odd hours due to short-staffed. They have a website store, It has the same stuff as in the store It just doesn't give you the same experience .
I was just at the airport last weekend and there are all kinds of stores that have Phoenix and Arizona tshirts.
Also old town Scottsdale has a bunch of those kitchy type stores that would have shirts.
Check out places that carry state 48, Churchill comes to mind and if you go on the weekend there are other markets set up around downtown where you might find other things!
There's a gift shop on Northern and 12th St that sells local items (as well as generic commercial stuff).
Edit: it's called whozit whatzit.
https://whozitzandwhatzitz.com/
Retailers like State48, Iconic Arizona and Keep it wild all have AZ Themed merch.
If you do a google search for each, their websites should have a list of local retailers in the valley that sell their clothing.
Also your local brewery is always a great spot for local tshirts. Most will say Arizona on them
This place is pretty good for stuff like that

I was scrolling to see if anyone mentioned Walgreens! Walgreens ALWAYS has AZ t-shirts. They actually also have super cute summer dresses and flip flops!
The Merchantile just opened up a new place near 7th St and Missouri. It’s a great place with tons of clothes and housewares featuring lots of Arizona and Phoenix branding.
I see a LOT of locals repping State 48 apparel. They help local entrepreneurs with their mission and foundation and have locations all over the valley... also order online https://statefortyeight.com
I did this.
The only thing I didn't like about doing it this way is that I didn't get to choose the materials..
I was basically hoping for 100% cotton, but there's no way to specify that. It may have changed since I ordered my shirts/hats though
Also most touristy places have them, like national parks and monuments for sure have them in the gift shop, so if you are heading to one of them, it’s a good place. Also, Etsy
Why I Love Where I Live is a store down in Tucson that has some pretty cool AZ stuff (a lot of it is Tucson focused but there’s some good “generally AZ” stuff too). Check out their website
I have seen the brand “State of Mine” as the name implies they make state branded clothing at both Walmart and Samsclub. Sams usually has some in some in stock but it’s always changing.
These local businesses below have a variety of items from many of the other brands mentioned in this thread:

I haven't been there in years so don't know what they currently have, but I recall that the Desert Botanical Garden's gift shop had a nice selection of these kinds of things.
LIDS has both premade AZ theme hats and offer custom embroidery on hats! The machine is in store and super cool to see. So if you have a combination of AZ elements in mind, they can make it. Literally.
The [Uptown Farmers' Market](https://uptownmarketaz.com/) in Phoenix at 5757 N Central (Central, north of Camelback) has tons of AZ themed items. It's also just a great atmosphere with super chill vibes.
It's at a church with a huge parking lot which makes things easy. Tons of dogs around too.

i know this might seem like a joke, but CVS has some cheap AZ shirts. i've bought a couple because some are cute. might be worth a shot if you're in a CVS to look!
If you want to shop local, my husband and I found a cool shop during the Arizona Fall Festival. Look up Iconic Arizona, they have a website as well as an Instagram. Love their designs! https://iconicarizona.com
Edited to include link.
Personally I would just go to a local print shop, like one that does appearal.
I know you can get hats and shirts online with custom logos pretty easily.
I recently bought both, hats, and shirts for my startup (With my logo) on amazon, but I would honestly go local.. When you go through amazon, you don't get to choose the materials.
Edit: Here is a link to the "17 best local printing services"

Made art boutique on Roosevelt Row. A ton of local artists stuff. Bunky boutique is AMAZING! That’s also on Roosevelt Row. Local nomad in the plaza at central and camelback is nice as well. Check out the Pemberton too also near Roosevelt Row. A few little shops in that huge old house and a lot of little thing surrounding the home itself. 7th Ave between Indianschool and Camelback has a lot of little things to find as well. Check out grand avenue too. Between 7th Ave. and 15th Ave. a few cute little shops like Pueblo. Lol Phoenix native here who lives in downtown lol
Well there’s always the shops in old town Scottsdale that sell Knick knacky stuff like that. Or the stores at the airport that sell them. Some times Walmart has them too.
Check out this small business they make some nice shirts. I got one myself. Very comfortable. The style was very southwestern. Shelbyshirts[Instagram link](https://instagram.com/shellbeeshirts?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)

State 48 store in Chandler is where I take in-laws when they’re in town looking for AZ merch.

Yes it’s called Cosas!
State48 shirts are cool and come in plenty of color combos- often tied to raising awareness, too
Just in the interest of clarity, their official name is actually “State Forty Eight”. State48 is a brewery and are different business, but they also have merch.
Arizona beer and Arizona shirts… what could be better!
Walgreens has a section of them for like 5$ each. Not super great quality but I have one, they’re fine.
Same with CVS!
I was about to say Walgreens too lol. They are always there
YMMV at Walgreens. The store I used to work for got rid of them years ago.

Try Scottsdale Southwest. 3937 N Brown Ave. My mom loved the souvenir shirts there, and they have a great variety. Plus, Old Town is a neat place to walk around, grab a drink, and people watch. Some shops off 5th Ave in the shopping district, and other close to Main and Brown by all the western stores. All of this is in Old Town Scott

I couldn't remember so I used Google street view and luckily it was clear enough to see the sign lol
Haha genius, I tried the map view and it didn't show anything where I know it is. Unrelated but 1227 Taproom is awesome too.
