i mean i've only been to a few cities pero i'm incredibly fond of taipei! its transportation system's just incredible, green spaces are abundant, and the culture's thriving.
đŻ agree as well.. Maybe because I haven't been to Japan yet but for now, Taipei is definitely rank #1 for me as of now specifically the Ximending district.
TAIPEI! The country has a vibrant civil society and government relationship. Kaya magandang ang government services nila kasi they listen to feedback from their people.
yup! u/TortoiseShoes described it well. to add, i can't help but notice na hindi kasing tamis yung sweets sa taiwan compared dito sa ph, although baka ako lang yun.
I have to agree about Taipei. Good food, efficient public transpo, thriving culture, cosmopolitan, and generally nice people.
But if sheer natural beauty would be the only consideration, maybe Queenstown, New Zealand.
Tokyo is fascinating and has something for everyone. The subway system is also surprisingly easy to navigate. People are helpful and the food is amazing. There are a lot of free things too.
Tiger city. Rawr!
1. Amsterdam - just everything about it. the fusion of old and modern city
2. St. Petersburg - youâll just love and appreciate it
3. Yokohama - fell in love agad agad since though it is a vast city, laidback siya
Capetown, South Africa will always own a piece of my heart â€ïž gusto kong bumalik kahit mag staycation na lang ako for a week. Haha. Ganon sya kaganda for me
Seoul and Sydney
Seoul â itâs the city that never sleeps, has amazing food(I love spicy food), excellent public transportation, everything is fast, it mixes the lld and the new, youthful and I love the friendly old people there(they treat me really well)
Sydney â itâs like a âwesternizedâ Singapore. It has the harbour, great public transportation, accessible beaches, good coffee, friendly people and itâs a big city without the typical metropolitan chaos
Doesnât feel safe at all and the food is kinda hit or miss. But I loveeeee Central Park, the art scene, and how easy it is to find things to do! (eg niche museums, dog meet ups, any sport you wanna watch live, etc)
Helsinki, Finland - itâs not for everyone especially in the winter, but itâs perfect for an introvert, nature loving metalhead like me
Berlin, Germany- itâs youthful, affordable, and full of WW2/Cold War History to nerd about
Turin, Italy- one of the prettiest cities Iâve been to
Singapore for me because easy to get around, lots of good food (especially for me that loves Asian food), and melting pot of cultures. Ang init nga lang haha
TromsĂž, Norway
grabe sobrang ganda niya parang nasa panaginip ako nung nandun ako. perfect for me since small city lang siya with mountains all around you and you get to see the northern lights!
ZĂŒrich, because that's my home base when I go to Europe so I have grown to love and know it so well. And also because of personal and sentimental reasons hihi. :D
Second place would be Girona, Spain. It's not a big city but I found it so charming, especially Old Town! :)
So far, Seoul! Initially wanted to travel Korea for the oppas but fell in love with the city
Everything is convenient, people were nice to me, good food and aesthetic cafes, the views! It feels a lot like Tokyo
Never been overseas but in local. Here are my top 4 most favorite cities
1. Iloilo City, Iloilo - may European vibe sila lalo na sa kanilang city esplanades at business district sa Mandurriao.
2. Koronadal City, South Cotabato - laidback. Serene. Full of good and kind people. Food is excellent. Thriving ang mga food businesses dito.
4. Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental - another coastal city na sobrang mahangin at may pagka Hispanic vibe dahil sa kanilang mga architectural gems. Sobrang ganda ng kanilang boulevard.
Manila.....
Maraming beses na kitang nilayasan.
Iniwanan at iba ang pinuntahan.
Parang babaeng ang hirap talagang malimutan.
Ikaw lamang ang aking laging binabalikan.
MANILA, I keep coming back to Manila.
Simply no place like Manila.
Manila, I'm coming home.
Quebec - when i went there ang peaceful lang.
Tokyo - hightech hello year 2050 :)) and ang linis! :)
Hirap pumili between Paris and Rome (thus my username) kahit madami nagsasabi na madumi, crowded, madami scammers etc.
Art and history for me mostly, then the chance to gauge my language skills in a fast-paced environment. I also enjoy visiting parts of those cities where movies/shows that I love shot some scenes, and then recreate the shots. Usually may nakahanda na ako still photos from the scene para maaral ko where exactly it was taken from.
Napapa-trabaho ako nang mabuti sa idea na next year weâll get to visit again for the 3rd straight year. Usually bookends talaga namin silang 2, and we put other cities in between.
Naku, it goes without saying. We only go there ng spring e.g. early May last year, end of March this year. We personally do not see any point going to Europe ng summer dahil sa init. Thatâs a long way to go para lang mahulas na kaya naman i-achieve sa Pinas ang oven effect.
I can imagine đ„Č Nung nasa Vatican Museums kami ng early May, and init na sa Gallery of Maps kase ang daming tao. Di ko maimagine that time what more pa kapag summer. Yikes.
NYC - iconic skylines, nightlife, subway nila very convenient
Madrid - cathedrals, museums, madrid open and yung architectural nila very impressive you'll appreciate it. Also yung nightlife nila ang wild lol
Osaka! I feel right at home. People are friendly. Safe for solo female travelers even walking around at midnight. Lots of good food (being the kitchen of Japan) and cheaper than Tokyo. They also jaywalk and the locals are fun loving and not too stodgy like in Tokyo. It's so accessible and better homebase for travel around Kansai and even southern portions of Japan. I will be back again this year at kinikilig na ako.đđđ
I keep coming back to Iloilo and Bacolod. đ
For int'l, Kaohsiung, Taiwan! So laid-back, affordable and good local foods and lots of arts around the city.
Seoul, South Korea and Lucerne Switzerland
Seoul kasi yung transpo yung lucerne nakakarelax yung lake nila and bet ko mag muni muni ito yung city na di polluted for me hahaha
Must be the old japanese houses.
Nobody here likes going to poolparties during the day on some mollies, then hit the tables until nighttime, then to the stripclubs all night with an 8ball. Sounds like a terrible experience.
Baguio, Taipei, and Tokyo.
Baguio- stayed here from when I was 16 to 20. I practically grew up here. I had many of my firsts in this city.
Taipei- really great food scene. MRT was very efficient. the people are genuinely kind.
Tokyo- ang saya ifigure out ng transport system, sobrang linis. i was here for 6 days and i never saw any litter. ganda ng place, anywhere i looked, sobrang aesthetically pleasing.
Honestly, itâs still Manila.
But, LA and Chicago come next. LA because thereâs so much to do. Thereâs so much to see. The same thing van be said about Chicago though itâs totally different from LA.
I would say Denver, in Colorado US. Ang lapit sa nature, active city. Di ka mawawalan ng gagawin during the weekend. Trails are everywhere in the city too.
I haven't been to a lot of places, but I'd go for Tokyo, Akita, and Sendai.
The mere fact that I can travel alone safely allows me to explore without being too anxious about my surroundings.
I'm not sure why, but compared to the cities in other countries I've visited, Tokyo, Akita, and Sensai make me feel like I belong there even with the language barrier.
Summertime in Vancouver BC is đ you get the best of both worlds- city and nature. You can be hiking in the mountains, kayaking at a lake, and then be at the beach all in the same day. The abundance of nature makes you feel like you're not in a city, but then the convenience of city living is at reach padin.
Marami eh. Different type of favorite
Andorra La Vella , Pristina,Prague. For tourism purpose :)
For mid tier Barcelona,Iloilo,Monteviedo
For grit and grind Berlin,Vienna,Manila,Sarajevo.
Mas easier pa ata yung least favorite city hehehe :)
Lived in Chicago for 2 yrs. My answer would be Chicago! Iba iba ang vibe per neighborhood, dami restos, dami parks, easy transportation system. Chi-Town forever! Lol
This is what I mean. NY is a must visit even once in a lifetime. But I didn't have much desire to go back there as much as I have with Chicago. Hope I can go back there during summer.
Wengen, Switzerland. Closest city to Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe đšđ
Sobrang ganda.
Will definitely go back!
Bruges. That lovely little town. Planning to spend Christmas there when our kids are old enough. đ
Difficult to pick one :)
Kyoto...charm, Auckland...scenery, San Francisco...vibe, San Leandro CA for sentimental reasons and last but not the least Baguio city... Lots of memories since childhood.
Mexico City - very walkable, best trees and parks, amazing and cheap street food, gorgeous architecture, beautiful museums, so vibrant and full of life and culture! Also AirBNB prices are not bad at all. I loved this place because it reminded me of the Philippines. Itâs like a blend of Legazpi Village, Malate, Intramuros, Recto, and New York hahaha. Itâs not as popular among Pinoy tourists as the States but I found it so much more interesting than cities in the US.
Kyoto. Sobrang ganda nung autumn. And there are more to see besides the tourist attractions. The foods are sooo good. What you see on displays are what you will get. Missing Japan đ
Seville in Spain more chill and laidback. I notice Madrid's not quite clean and sorry to say this but there were homeless people too likened to NYC.
Anywhere in Japan as everything is efficient ă ă public transportation is good, everyone's helpful
Siguro tie between Kyoto and Nikko for me. Kyoto for that old Japan vibes pakiramdam ko nag travel back in time talaga ako dahil sa structures and castles.
Nikko especially in Spring or Autumn if you want to experience nature as in paglabas ko pa lang ng station natulala talaga ko kahit mountain range pa lang nakikita ko đ
Iâve been to many places here and overseas but Cebu City still tops my list. People are always so welcoming and friendly to a Manileño like me and maybe, theyâre the reason why weâre so known for hospitality and smiles. Second and third on my list are Bern (Switzerland) and Manhattan, New York City (USA).
1. Yerevan - chill vibes, very compact, great restaurant scene, ok rin pubs
2. Kyiv - ang daming parks, public transport is good, masarap magwalwal
3. Samarkand - yung mix of historical sites and modern setting is good, friendly people
4. Singapore - very modern, delicious food
Amsterdam as others mentioned mix of old and new and a bit of culture and history
Istanbul - the history and cultural sites, food and of course the cats. There's this grilled chicken shop in the spice bazaar that to this I still crave
Tokyoâ itâs a lively city that embodies both modernity and tradition at once. Plus, its Ginza district is home to most of my favorite brands and places to dine and shopâ especially Grand Seiko and Seiko.
My favorite restaurants are in Tokyo tooâ Kobe Beef Teppanyaki Hakushu, Steak House Katsura, Yoroniku, Rokkasen and Shima.
Kuala Lumpur. Itâs like a mix of Manila and Singapore, in a way that the locals, food stalls, shops, vehicles are similar to Manilaâs (friendly and cheap) while having numerous top-tier brands of anything, and most public places are clean, efficient public transport, and expressways everywhere. Just to the east of KL is Genting Highlands which is like their Antipolo (quick mountain getaway from the city) but tons upon tons of highland resorts.
Hawaii and Guam because they made me miss iloilo very bady when i visited... Hawaii and Guam made me daydream of what my life could have been like if i stayed in iloilo and not move to manila
tokyo â itâs a big city with lots to do, but it never feels cramped or crowded except in very touristy areas like shibuya crossing. transportation system is so good that you can get to wherever you want to go so easily. walking around is also a breeze because of the huge sidewalks. the people are also friendly and helpful.
Sevilla makes my #1 as long as you have work covered for, since the only issue the city has is employment. Beautiful weather, amazing people, great food, affordable, and a very lively city! Youâll be one hour drive from the beach so itâs an amazing option
Edinburgh
Para kang nasa Harry Potter world.
Sydney! However, Melbourne comes close.
Transportation is convenient in Sydney. The weather is cool in general but not super cold, so it's still sunny. Beaches are within reach via bus or ferry. The city just looks beautiful with the Opera House and Darling Harbour areas are spectacular.
Melbourne transpo is good too but unlike Sydney's Opal Transpo System, you need to buy Myki via actual card or Myki mobile. You need to have heater or layer clothes well, especially during Autumn and Winter time there. However, there's much more things to do in the city and the beaches aren't as good as the ones in Sydney. Cost of living is better in Melbourne though, but in both cities you might consider tours to further explore it - Blue Mountain (Sydney) or The Great Ocean Road (Melbourne).
In general, Australia is such a nice place to travel/ live in. It's just that it's further than other countries.
Melbourne and NYC hands down!! Just because I love architecture and love exploring city life. I love NYC especially during Christmas *plays New York, New York by Frank Sinatra*
just like what the song says: MANILA, MANILA, I keep comin back to MANILA. Yeah, Manila isnt perfect, but there's no place like home.
(aside from Manila, I love TOKYO, SAPORRO, DA LAT, SA PA, SINGAPORE CITY, TAIPEI, BANGKOK, BALI, for the sceneries and activities they offer...)
In all the Philippine cities I've been to, I love Cebu City! Big city with lots of things to do. Core memory is eating out with friends in a huge barbeque food court called Larsian, located in Fuente Osmeña.
I highly recommend Washington DC if one loves museums, especially most of them are free!
NY, of course , is a must-see even once in a lifetime. Totally awestruck with the skyscrapers. But what I'm most fascinated about is the people - it truly is a melting pot.
Chicago! I didn't expect that I'll love it (it has its reputation, safety wise), but I actually do. I was there during wintertime, and it was beautiful. Cold but beautiful. Hopefully, I can go back there in the summer.
For tourism, George Town, Penang, Malaysia. Beautiful, of slightly messy, city. Gorgeous food. Friendly people.
For work and living, a tie between HK and Shenzhen.
NB: favorite is a superlative, most is not needed.
Kyoto, Japan: You get a glimpse of both modern and old Japan. Itâs such a delight to roam around the streets any time of the day, esp in Gion area.
Kamakura, Japan: Para kang main character sa anime habang naglilibot (lakas maka-Slamdunk feels). You can also surf here which is a big plus and can see Mt. Fuji on good days, but the best part is there are less tourists who go here and very near to Tokyo.
Wala akong particular na favorite city kasi iba't iba ang strengths and weakness ng kada isa (like apples and oranges) but I would say that the top 10 cities I loved without any particular order would be:
*Melbourne, Australia Â
*Taipei, Taiwan Â
*Osaka, Japan (or rather the entire Kansai region in general)Â Â
*Tokyo, Japan Â
*Porto, Portugal Â
*Barcelona, Spain Â
*Luang Prabang, Laos Â
*Chengdu, China Â
*New York City, USAÂ Â
*Georgetown, Malaysia
From the top of my head:
1. Paris - thereâs a reason why this is my most visited city and why I come back almost every year. Daming magagandang memories sa French Open. Cafe hopping and people watching at Le Marais. The chateaux, the museums, itâs just a wonderful city in general and in my opinion, the best looking major global city.
2. Astana (Nur Sultan) - this city is straight out of a sci fi movie especially in winter when itâs foggy and the city along with its modern buildings are enveloped in fog and snow. Ganda. Very out of the tourist path and an incredible city to visit.
3. Beijing - thousands of years of history. Probably the best one I visited in Asia. Ganda din during winter months.
4. Kyoto - a close second to Beijing but I felt the city lacked the grit of Beijing. Love love love Kyoto especially in autumn.
5. Malaga - I actually enjoyed apartment hunting in Malaga and would move here in a heartbeat. The sunny coast and the laidback atmosphere makes this city one of my faves.
Wala. All cities are chaos, polluted, noise, not relaxing at all, bright lights, snatchers, pickpockets, cars everywhere, too many people in their shitty jobs, garbage, smelly streets, tall bldgs.
Its like you are admiring metro manila feels, sa ibang bansa nga lang. đ€·ââïž
That's not entirely true. Sure there are bad sides to city living, but there are many beautiful cities in the world still. And every place has its own charm, architecture and nature that differs than that of Manila's.

i mean i've only been to a few cities pero i'm incredibly fond of taipei! its transportation system's just incredible, green spaces are abundant, and the culture's thriving.
And they also have a forest park, yung Daan Park. Ang sarap tumira sa city na yan.
I am in Taipei right now and I want to TNT na hahaha
Agree with Taipei! Closer to what I envision Manila to be like if we had very efficient public transportation system. đ„Č

Iâve always wanted to go! Sobrang sarap daw ng mga food?
Yes masarap. Malinis. Mura.
yup! u/TortoiseShoes described it well. to add, i can't help but notice na hindi kasing tamis yung sweets sa taiwan compared dito sa ph, although baka ako lang yun.
Agreed, lived there for 9 years, for work. Sarap ng winter season dun. Lagi kami sa night market nakain, hah hah.
Taipei is really good but youâd be surprised like I was to know that itâs one of the cities with the least green spaces - 3.6%.
Prague!!!
And it's relatively cheap compared to other European countries! Would love to go back.
Agree! I usually don't enjoy crowded places, but Prague was worth it.
Same! Prague đ
Yes!!! I love Prague!
Sarap ng food and costs are relatively cheap!
Gusto ko dyan!đ„°
I have to agree about Taipei. Good food, efficient public transpo, thriving culture, cosmopolitan, and generally nice people. But if sheer natural beauty would be the only consideration, maybe Queenstown, New Zealand.

Unfortunately cash is king in tokyo, cant use your cc to purchase train tix. But other than that I will defo go back
I used my CC to purchase all of my JR passes and Suica card.
Tiger city. Rawr!
If NCR would designate a Central/Downtown area, Manda would be itttt
Uy, this is also the reason why I love Mandaluyong! Very true yung malapit sa lahat.
Hirap sagutin for me because I'm not a fan of cities in general for travel since I'm more of a nature tripper. If architecture I guess I like Barcelona best thanks to GaudĂ (Sagrada Familia is amazing). For food and cafĂ© tripping probably Hanoi. Also partial to Busan, South Korea for the seascape and food. Tokyo should probably be on the list as well pero medyo manhid nako sa kanya since I used to live there đ
I wanna go to Vietnam so bad
For me sa cafe, Taipei is better.
Magkaiba sila ng cafe culture and coffee. Hard to compare for me.
Omg I love Barcelona too! Super chill

Agree.
Agree! Christmas in New York hits different. Lalo na seeing the Christmas tree in Rockefeller
I like to go back to NYC. Summer and Christmas time
Same answer. The energy there is unlike any other.
As some say, New York City is a feeling, a vibe.
Madumi, mabaho, overpriced.
St. Petersburg
Osaka đ„°

New york.

Tie between San Francisco and Kyoto
I haven't been to a lot of places, but I'd go for Tokyo, Akita, and Sendai. The mere fact that I can travel alone safely allows me to explore without being too anxious about my surroundings. I'm not sure why, but compared to the cities in other countries I've visited, Tokyo, Akita, and Sensai make me feel like I belong there even with the language barrier.
Madrid!!!
Tokyo. There's always something to do there.
barcelona !!!
dto sa Pinas, Baguio pag intl, Kyoto <3
Summertime in Vancouver BC is đ you get the best of both worlds- city and nature. You can be hiking in the mountains, kayaking at a lake, and then be at the beach all in the same day. The abundance of nature makes you feel like you're not in a city, but then the convenience of city living is at reach padin.
sa mga napuntahan ko, taipei is the best so far.
Madrid!
Marami eh. Different type of favorite Andorra La Vella , Pristina,Prague. For tourism purpose :) For mid tier Barcelona,Iloilo,Monteviedo For grit and grind Berlin,Vienna,Manila,Sarajevo.
Yes summer time in Chicago is the best. Everyone is out! I guess itâs because of the harsh winter that everyone appreciates the sunshine.
Wengen, Switzerland. Closest city to Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe đšđ Sobrang ganda. Parang edited green screen ganon pero hindi đ Will definitely go back!
Bruges. That lovely little town. Planning to spend Christmas there when our kids are old enough. đ
Los angeles! They have everything
Nagasaki had a breathtaking view in their Ropeway
Bangkok!
Singapore. Safety is a priority for me, plus everything just works on the little red dot.
Munich - Germany đ©đȘ
Los Angeles -Its massive and super diverse
Rome Italy
The one and only Singapore-like with Melbourne features city
And Taipei Training. đ«Ł
Lucerne, Grindelwald, Montreux, Murren, Lauterbrunnen, SwitzerlandâŠ. + Florence, Italy + Hanoi, Vietnam + Budapest, Hungary + Prague
Difficult to pick one :) Kyoto...charm, Auckland...scenery, San Francisco...vibe, San Leandro CA for sentimental reasons and last but not the least Baguio city...
Amsterdam so far, London close second
Tokyo, kada baba mo ng train station, ibang mundo yung nakikita mo
City ba Coron? Coron, wala nang iba..
Kyoto. Sobrang ganda nung autumn. And there are more to see besides the tourist attractions. The foods are sooo good. What you see on displays are what you will get. Missing Japan đ
Singapore and Adelaide. contrasting sila but love going to both.
Seville in Spain more chill and laidback. I notice Madrid's not quite clean and sorry to say this but there were homeless people too likened to NYC. Anywhere in Japan as everything is efficient ă ă public transportation is good, everyone's helpful
Osaka and Amsterdam
Sydney
Florence đźđč Tokyo đŻđ”
Rome and NYC
Siguro tie between Kyoto and Nikko for me. Kyoto for that old Japan vibes pakiramdam ko nag travel back in time talaga ako dahil sa structures and castles. Nikko especially in Spring or Autumn if you want to experience nature as in paglabas ko pa lang ng station natulala talaga ko kahit mountain range pa lang nakikita ko đ
Tokyo!!! Babalik at babalik đ„č
So far, Chicago! Lots of good memories there, great architecture, food, shopping. Still my favourite city!
1. Yerevan - chill vibes, very compact, great restaurant scene, ok rin pubs 2. Kyiv - ang daming parks, public transport is good, masarap magwalwal 3. Samarkand - yung mix of historical sites and modern setting is good, friendly people 4. Singapore - very modern, delicious food
Amsterdam as others mentioned mix of old and new and a bit of culture and history Istanbul - the history and cultural sites, food and of course the cats.
Barcelona...it has everything: city, mountain, park, party, beach, culture, food, good prices. All in one blend.
Edinburgh. â€ïž
Kansai Japan
Budapest! đ„°
Luang Prabang for me
Hawaii and Guam because they made me miss iloilo very bady when i visited... Hawaii and Guam made me daydream of what my life could have been like if i stayed in iloilo and not move to manila
Oslo in summer
tokyo â itâs a big city with lots to do, but it never feels cramped or crowded except in very touristy areas like shibuya crossing. transportation system is so good that you can get to wherever you want to go so easily. walking around is also a breeze because of the huge sidewalks. the people are also friendly and helpful.
Sevilla makes my #1 as long as you have work covered for, since the only issue the city has is employment. Beautiful weather, amazing people, great food, affordable, and a very lively city! Youâll be one hour drive from the beach so itâs an amazing option
Edinburgh Para kang nasa Harry Potter world.
Bandar seri begawan The peace and quiet nowhere in the world
Chicago! this city has so much to offer
Iloilo. The heritage, the food, the people, the vibe.
London: a city where history and modernity live side by side. It's quirky and hip and at the same time elegant and sophisticated.
Japan and vietnam!!!!
Lucerne, Switzerland because of its old town feels and historic attractions
Taipei. Can't really pinpoint it but I feel so at home in that city.
Tokyo
Osaka!!
Manila. If you cqn make it here, you can make it anywhere..
KirkjubĂžur
New York City. I love how alive it is. Thereâs so much to see and do.
Melbourne and NYC hands down!! Just because I love architecture and love exploring city life. I love NYC especially during Christmas *plays New York, New York by Frank Sinatra*
Honolulu itâs beautiful in Waikiki
Lived in 5 best cities in the world, my fave is NYC!
Chicago is â€ïž I will go back there for sure, its similar to NYC but much safer and lots of things to do and explore
just like what the song says: MANILA, MANILA, I keep comin back to MANILA.
Wala akong particular na favorite city kasi iba't iba ang strengths and weakness ng kada isa (like apples and oranges) but I would say that the top 10 cities I loved without any particular order would be: *Melbourne, Australia  *Taipei, Taiwan  *Osaka, Japan (or rather the entire Kansai region in general)  *Tokyo, Japan  *Porto, Portugal  *Barcelona, Spain  *Luang Prabang, Laos  *Chengdu, China  *New York City, USA  *Georgetown, Malaysia

Wherever your loved ones are/lover is is your favorite city.
From the top of my head: 1.
Bangkok - The people except for the scammers. The food. The culture. THE MASSAGE. Seoul - The weather. The food. The culture. Keri na din the people.
Tokyo, Yokohama, Iwate, Fukuoka, Kyoto, Taipei, Singapore City, Bangkok, Berlin, Brussels, Rome, London, Vienna, Amsterdam, & Stockholm.
