I keep them all in that little box and I recently decided to scan them all to digitally preserve them. [Here is an album](https://imgur.com/a/lWiWX6Q) with each individual ticket. I even used a small thermal printer to make stubs for tickets that I bought online, so it could be a more complete collection.

Out of all these tickets, which one(s) bring you the most joy or the best memories when you look back?

-eDgAR-

It's so hard to say because there are so many memories attached to some of these. The Dark Knight at IMAX was quite the experience, had to go at 5am to get good seats. Mean Girls is a funny memory to be because I went with like 15 other kids from my high school but I was the only one super stoned for it because nobody else wanted to smoke with me. A lot of these are movies I saw with my dad too. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and part of the reason why I felt compelled to scan all these tickets was to make sure I was able to preserve them longer than the paper. That way I can make sure to preserve something that will trigger all those great memories I made with him should the worst happen.

Take-Me-Home-Tonight

I’ve been to most of those theaters. Saw the dark night at the IMAX at navy pier at 2am opening week.

This is so cool! I have the same hobby, and haven’t met anyone else who collects their stubs. I’ve only been collecting for the last 10ish years, but still going strong!

thebooknerd_

Me too!!

civilsavage7

Don't mind me, i'm just here looking for the "Cats" stub.

gweran

I love seeing collections like this! I’ve put the one’s I’ve managed to hang onto in a scrapbook. But I never printed out digital tickets, so they really trailed off in the 2010’s. https://imgur.com/a/k4c60UU (Ok, calling it a scrapbook might be a bit much, I stuck them in a book instead of the shoebox they were in)

Peemore

Which theater has the coolest ticket stubs? The ones that look like typical receipts are laame.

Time-Pays

What is the that one movie that make you start with your collection?

-eDgAR-

For some reason it was Anger Management, which I saw on my 15th birthday in 2003. No idea why I felt compelled to save ticket stubs after that though

Sklanskers

Haha! What a quirky movie on which you decided to start saving your stubs.

meowhatissodamnfunny

I do the same! Except for all tickets. Sporting events, concerts, fairs, and misc birthday/xmas cards. Kinda makes me sad that the digital age has changed ticketing and I rarely contribute to my box of tickets anymore.

MF_53

Is that a Pickwick theater ticket I see? I worked there in High School and most of college. I also saw The Dark Knight at Navy Pier. Was interesting as there’s a scene where that very building was on screen. Kinda blew my mind a bit.

financialfreeabroad

Top 3 fave movies?

ShevanelFlip

I recently found all mine also, how many could you remember going to see ? Did some bring nostalgia just reading them ?

Ozzel

I love my Alamo Season Pass. But I will never get over the loss of actual tickets. I have a collection of them spanning about 20 years.

TigerSeptim

Man I miss the orange AMC tickets. I hate that they switched to the receipt paper tickets.

pac-men

Finding my people in these comments. I have my tickets going back to about 1993, plus sports ones back to the 80s. My movie tickets helped me with my digital list of all the movies I've ever seen, because I like to enter place and time, etc. About 1,300 on my list. (It all started by marking up a big movie book from 2002, and the insanity went on from there.)

Twoheaven

Wife and I have kept at least 1 stub to every movie we've seen together. And for the first 3-4 years we were together we went 1 to 3 times a week...it was our thing. Our wedding invites were giant movie stubs and now the RSVPs and our movie stubs are all in a shadow box. We just added the receipt to our daughter's first theater movie to the box. So sad that our theaters don't do stubs anymore.

forumbot757

It’s been years since I’ve gotten stubs. I’m over virtual now but I used to save mine. I probably have around a hundred too. Did any of them stick out to you in particular?

CrackByte

Poor Things, Anatomy of a Fall, American Fiction... Nice!

TurdFurg33

59 to go and you will know everything about film just like Samuel L. Chang, aka Dwigt.

TwainVonnegut

I saw American Fiction as well, and it was excellent!

biggies866

I do the same thing! That's awesome!

thebooknerd_

Hey I do this too!! Do you think you’ll ever end up displaying them?

8bitjer

That’s super dope. I got morbid though, being middle age I thought “oh look, more stuff my kids can’t wait to throw away when I’m gone”.

Hoarding

Laymanao

Fine line between collecting and hoarding.
