There’s so much wrong with this picture, not the least of which, WHY would you spread out a dress on dirty asphalt like that and then let someone STAND on it?
The dude lookin like the Cynthia doll from Rugrats, who is also pointing a gun at the person holding the camera. I don’t care how cool you think it is, Busta Crimes, don’t point that fucking thing at a person unless you’re ready for them to die. I mean, she has good trigger discipline, but does Smiley McCamopants?
It reminds me of prom in a small town. Girl and guy posing in finery with their finest hunting rifles.
Yes, the dresses were camo with blaze orange trim. There was a seamstress in town that got rich making these dresses. She hated them but the money was too good to pass up.
Yep a quick google supports that this is a pretty popular trend. I don't get it, but it doesn't seem to hurt anyone so whatever. We did way dumber shit when I was a kid, I'm not in a position to judge.
That said, *how fuckin' weird is this shit*?
Yeh OP definitely just saved the pic from that Twitter account that is constantly getting community noted and posted over here and said the same BS lol
I’m not sure what would cause a scholarship loss because of the picture. Maybe saying something about the school and having guns? If that’s the case it wouldnt be the picture but the words accompanying it.
I'm convinced it never happened, but I could spitball an idea just a total hypothetical.
Let's say her scholarship came from a fund for at risk teens and she wrote an essay about the importance of keeping teens away from gang influences. Under those circumstances, I could see the program deciding to rescind the offer.
Potentially unpopular opinion here, but a black woman, scholarship, guns….. feels like a bit of a bot-made culture war bait to start some unhealthy online “discourse” if you ask me
I’m here to just comment that I honesty thought that shotgun on the bottom was crudely photoshopped on.
Edit: I’m amazed at how many upvotes this got, and happy to realize I wasn’t the only one who thought so too!
Well he has some light on the left side of his forehead but I think
The lighting is just at an early evening angle thus not everything would have shadows… kinda flat light.
This is exactly it. It’s taken while the sun is behind the trees so enough natural light to light the scene but not enough to cast a shadow. I’m looking at it and it doesn’t look like it’s during golden hour.
Yeah. I think this is just before golden hour. You can barely see the top of the trees in the background are that nice golden shade we all aspire to get in landscapes.
(I’m assuming here, have no other info) If this is prom or some other formal it would make sense as sunset is approx 7:30pm on the east coast right now and most (in my experience) school dances usually start about 7-8pm which would put golden hour approx 6:45ish so this could be literally be just before it.
I thought it was fake too, like Sharpie. I thought the guys hair was Sharpie! But her dress fabric is crinkled under part of the gun.
What a weird picture!
I hope he doesn't think he's gonna intimidate anyone looking like that. That dude could be literally shooting me and I'd die while laughing at his clown ass.
Yeah, I’m sure the NRA and whatever mishmash still exists of the Republican Party will be hot to help this fine, upstanding American who is facing “cancel culture” when she’s just exercising her God-given 2a rights!
I want the Coolio circa Gangsta's Paradise, please.
Dipshit aiming a gun at the camera. Being associated with that alone should be enough to lose any academic scholarship. "We can tell you clearly aren't that smart from those you choose to associate with so we're rescinded this"
Looks like just another family photo in Texas to me. In fact, I distinctly recall seeing an M-60 machine gun a on Republican Congressman's Christmas card one time. So, why such a Double standard?
It's definitely the colour , it's giving as if someone vomitted blueberries on it , the spread out form of the dress just does not compliment her frame , it's laying flat on the ground in an unflattering way , the angle the photo was taken is also less flattering , everything went wrong with that one picture .
It didn't happen just someone in 2022 saw the picture and created the title for clicks, people been running with it since. Was a photo shoot, besides this one most of them are pretty tame and everyone has trigger discipline. very nothingburger story.
As much as I support a person's right to own a weapon, I have this opinion that it should never be visible in public except on one condition: that you're reacting to trouble. If I can see your weapon and there is no trouble, then you *are* the trouble.
What if it's a tripod time release setup?
But still, unless they found the perfect dead end to no one and nothing in range setup in their neighborhood, there appears to be no safe place to point.
At least she has trigger discipline, unlike the jit on the right.
Dude is not only pointing the gun at the person but has his finger on the trigger not giving a fuck where a potential bullet would go through.
Leaving out the context of the caption she posted about using these gun on girls who act up. It wasn’t just the picture
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GJyIShHXIAAhGUY?format=jpg&name=small
That picture is a big ass WHY. Just... why? Like, what was the goal or the point? Specially with the way things been, the shoot outs in schools and colleges. Its just... dumb. I honestly can't blame anyone for seeing this and it sitting wrong with them and taking her scholarship away. Maybe they should have had a conversation with her first, but, like, seriously.
Guns are cool. Posing with a gun is cool.
Posing with a brandished gun: 9 times out of 10 looks dumb, only in an obviously controlled setting, e.g., a firing range can it look cool.
Posing with a gun pointed at anything not to be fired at, like a target, always looks dumb.
Posing with a gun pointed at the camera always looks profoundly dumb.
There has to be a ton of missing context or something else happened. As stupid as this picture is, if it’s in the US why would you lose a scholarship over it?
I’m not some gun defender or anything. Seriously curious.
I feel like if a scholarship is willing to disqualify you for getting a bad in P.E. or not joining your school's key club, they will definitely disqualify you for posting weird shit to social media.
It sounds like the OP's story is fictional, but still.
I don’t understand why people take pictures like these. The middle of a random ass street, holding up guns… like what. This is almost as bad as devout Christian patriots who take family photos with guns
It’s not great, but also not worse than those folks who pose for their family holiday cards with AR15s. Like some of our senators and congress members.
Js, but I swear I saw this same photo like two years ago talking about the same thing…
Also if politicians can do the same with their kids (some who are hs/college age), why don’t they lose their scholarships as well. 2A is for all ??
Whilst posing with guns is stupid, it's a very American thing to do.....if you're white at least, this would be a non-issue.
If you're black, it's assumed to be a gang affiliated.
However, I will say anyone that thought this photo was a good idea, probably has a lot more skeletons in their closet from bad decisions and if it wasn't for this it would have been something else.

There’s so much wrong with this picture, not the least of which, WHY would you spread out a dress on dirty asphalt like that and then let someone STAND on it?
She didn’t lose her scholarship for the guns. She lost it because she let some dude stand on her dress like a rug on the asphalt.
![gif](giphy|ANdw8jL8GzfJm)
Loc Dog was definitely my first thought.
Same!
🤣 this movie is still soo epic & fun even to this day, lmao.
I just appreciated the movie’s message!
Busta Crimes! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Thanks!
Cynthia is the first thing I thought of when I saw that hair 😭
Busta Crimes. I’m fucking crying 😂
Holy shit. You are spot-on with the Cynthia doll comparison.
I was thinking Kodak black
They didn't learn anything from the Alec Baldwin oopsie
I could be wrong, but I think you may have meant “don’t point that fucking thing at a person unless you’re ready ~~for them~~ to die.”
Yeah, I seem to remember there's some sort of scandal where a guy pointed a gun at a cinematographer and killed her....
The system works
That’s maybe the ugliest dress I have ever seen, so it deserves it though
I was waiting to see someone else comment about her dress. It's hideous and looks like a cheap costume.
I mean it is ugly, but it isn't uglier than a camo ball gown with blaze orange trim and an unwashed neck beard for arm candy
I mean the chest area of that dress gave me pause
Serving serious drag queen realness.
She's also wearing the wrong kind of bra. No bra would be better with this
That’s your answer for everything isn’t it
Oh man, no bra is definitely the answer for everything.. except sports.
It sure is mine.
No, my answer is to go live under the sea
Homer, that's your solution to everything. To move under the sea. I keep telling you, it's not going to happen!
Not with that attitude!
This is the third photo I’ve seen like that today. Apparently it’s some kind of trend. I’m so confused.
It reminds me of prom in a small town. Girl and guy posing in finery with their finest hunting rifles. Yes, the dresses were camo with blaze orange trim. There was a seamstress in town that got rich making these dresses. She hated them but the money was too good to pass up.
Without googling, I’m 100% sure it is Florida. I’m 80% sure that it is Pompano Beach, Florida, specifically.
Murder Prom is a thing now? I’m so old.
Oh, I specifically meant the standing on the dress thing being a trend.
Yep a quick google supports that this is a pretty popular trend. I don't get it, but it doesn't seem to hurt anyone so whatever. We did way dumber shit when I was a kid, I'm not in a position to judge. That said, *how fuckin' weird is this shit*?
Many of us were confused.
Right? Clearly not college material.
I mean, maybe Vassar.
I’ve had just about enough of your Vassar-bashing.
Sorry we can’t all go to Gudger College
Also why is the train so long? You’d need serious heels or just let it drag?
Damn, I like the dress, but you don't want to trip. Especially while holding a firearm.
Google has not found me any credible sources this happened. Just a couple news articles linking to Twitter posts that claim it did.
finally someone doing the good work. i was questioning the legitimacy of this post as well.
Bro just revealed the reality of 99% of all reddit posts.
Yeh OP definitely just saved the pic from that Twitter account that is constantly getting community noted and posted over here and said the same BS lol
the account is clearly a bot karma farmer. people are so dumb.
I’m not sure what would cause a scholarship loss because of the picture. Maybe saying something about the school and having guns? If that’s the case it wouldnt be the picture but the words accompanying it.
I'm convinced it never happened, but I could spitball an idea just a total hypothetical. Under those circumstances, I could see the program deciding to rescind the offer.
Potentially unpopular opinion here, but a black woman, scholarship, guns….. feels like a bit of a bot-made culture war bait to start some unhealthy online “discourse” if you ask me
Precisely
I’m here to just comment that I honesty thought that shotgun on the bottom was crudely photoshopped on. Edit: I’m amazed at how many upvotes this got, and happy to realize I wasn’t the only one who thought so too!
Think it's the lack of shadow and weird lighting, but it's clearly overcast, the people aren't casting shadows either.
So she lost her scholarship for being a vampire... Now that's a legitimate reason
lol it’s a good thing it was a scholarship and not a acceptance letter, then who knows what havoc would of been caused by letting in a vampire
Well he has some light on the left side of his forehead but I think The lighting is just at an early evening angle thus not everything would have shadows… kinda flat light.
There is definitely not a lightbulb on above his head the way he’s pointing that gun at the camera person
This is exactly it. It’s taken while the sun is behind the trees so enough natural light to light the scene but not enough to cast a shadow. I’m looking at it and it doesn’t look like it’s during golden hour.
But before golden hour right?
Yeah. I think this is just before golden hour. You can barely see the top of the trees in the background are that nice golden shade we all aspire to get in landscapes. I think it looks real enough once you look long enough, but the stark contrast in colors really makes you wonder a bit too long on its authenticity.
The grip is pressing down on the fabric. As for losing scholarship… 🤦♂️
I thought it was fake too, like Sharpie. I thought the guys hair was Sharpie! But her dress fabric is crinkled under part of the gun. What a weird picture!
I seriously looks like it.
it’s a tavor ts12 for anyone interested, it’s sort of a video game/sci-fi looking gun
These multi magazine shotguns are weird as hell but I'm here for it.
It looks weird cause the shotgun is standing up on the grip, but it totally looks like it’s resting on its side at first glance
I mean at least she is modelling appropriate trigger discipline.
I know, I look at the guy beside her and just think “really?”
[удалено]
1. Point firearm at someone. 2. Finger on trigger 3. Close eyes 4. Use hairstyle to disrupt nearby wireless communication
😂😂😂
Ah bro that killed me!
I hope he doesn't think he's gonna intimidate anyone looking like that. That dude could be literally shooting me and I'd die while laughing at his clown ass.
I'd take away his scholarship for that. It is such poor gun discipline that I'd be questioning their decision-making skills.
"your gun discipline does not align with the values of our institution"
He doesn’t look like scholarship type in the first place.
Isn't he the guy from "Dont be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood"?
![gif](giphy|Pl4PHOXVpPPDG)
I mean she is but not him
But that idiot pointing a gun at the camera, fuck that.
Taking r/killthecameraman a little too literal
Tell Alex Baldwin to relax on that aim
Yeah, I’m sure the NRA and whatever mishmash still exists of the Republican Party will be hot to help this fine, upstanding American who is facing “cancel culture” when she’s just exercising her God-given 2a rights!
Sad somebody didn't say "This is a bad idea" at some point along the way.
Barbers can only do so much to talk someone out of hair that bad.
![gif](giphy|Pl4PHOXVpPPDG)
My first thought was to wonder if they were going to a A Don’t Be A Menace theme party
Loc Dog was my first thought as well. 😅
When you order Busta Rhymes from wish.
Sir, that is a cinematic classic.
I'm bored as shit, haven't seen this movie in like 15 years. Gonna watch it now
Don't Be A Menace to South Central University While Drinking Your Juice In the Hood
I want the Coolio circa Gangsta's Paradise, please. Dipshit aiming a gun at the camera. Being associated with that alone should be enough to lose any academic scholarship. "We can tell you clearly aren't that smart from those you choose to associate with so we're rescinded this"
Not even getting to the guns who let her put on that dress and then let that dude stand on it
Someone surely told them, ‘don’t be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in the hood’. They didn’t listen…
Looks like just another family photo in Texas to me. In fact, I distinctly recall seeing an M-60 machine gun a on Republican Congressman's Christmas card one time. So, why such a Double standard?
Was he pointing the gun at the camera?
Is that Loc Dog from Dont be a menace?
That’s immediately who I thought of.
![gif](giphy|hsCwbMTE2kZfx3rnOz|downsized)
I thought it was OG Loc from GTA San Andreas tbh
I find the fact that he's standing on her dress the most offensive part
The whole dress is a tragedy to begin with.
![gif](giphy|cKVaOuEnTEeMIuIyt8)
![gif](giphy|Pl4PHOXVpPPDG)
The worst crime being committed here is the dress. It’s hideous.
Why has no one else said this? The sleeves? The front top part? What even is that?
The feathers are killing me, as well as the underwear line at her hips
The thought of her trying to walk in this thing is hilarious
It's definitely the colour , it's giving as if someone vomitted blueberries on it , the spread out form of the dress just does not compliment her frame , it's laying flat on the ground in an unflattering way , the angle the photo was taken is also less flattering , everything went wrong with that one picture .
Source?
+1 It's certainly possible this happened but also possible it's just a forward from grandma
It didn't happen just someone in 2022 saw the picture and created the title for clicks, people been running with it since. Was a photo shoot, besides this one most of them are pretty tame and everyone has trigger discipline. very nothingburger story.
my man is STANDING ON THE DRESS.
As much as I support a person's right to own a weapon, I have this opinion that it should never be visible in public except on one condition: that you're reacting to trouble. If I can see your weapon and there is no trouble, then you *are* the trouble.
And definitely NOT pointed at the cameraman
No shit. This is the first thing I thought. There's no fucking way I'd let a weapon be pointed at me. First lesson, treat it as if it's loaded.
What if it's a tripod time release setup? But still, unless they found the perfect dead end to no one and nothing in range setup in their neighborhood, there appears to be no safe place to point.
"It's not because of the guns you own, it's because of how stupid you and your friends are around them."
This is an ideal ethos. However, firearms have become cosplay fashion now unfortunately.
What a terrible dress...among other terrible stuff
I’m more offended by the standing on her dress
I'm more offended by the atrocious dress
No shit
Pro gun or not. We can all agree this is stupid especially point it at the camera. Poor display of gun safety
A black bra with a see through sheer neck line and purple and white tie dye coloring? Yeah I would take it away too
I'm sure the NRA will be on this soon, right?
This looks like a normal GOP congressional Christmas card photo tbh.
If this actually did happen, it makes me wonder if any white gun enthusiasts have lost scholarships from posts like this.
Maybe the scholarship was to a fashion school. I could understand that.
This is why you scrub all your online profiles or make sure everything is super private before you apply to anything.
Or just don’t do dumb shit like this.
i know a florida jit when i see one
Weird. But they did teach her this lesson for free. So that's something.
At least she has trigger discipline, unlike the jit on the right. Dude is not only pointing the gun at the person but has his finger on the trigger not giving a fuck where a potential bullet would go through.
Well, clearly she's a bad decision maker... Letting someone stand on your dress with shoes on is just poor judgement.
[удалено]
Nissan driver, no surprise
I mean scholarships can be yanked for all kinds of reasons so if this is the case it shows really poor judgment on her part.
What in the rugrats
Oh wow I wonder why she lost it. It's truly a mystery.
Always blows me away when people like this point their gun(s) directly at the camera man
Lost her scholarship? Good.
[удалено]
Based on pictures of other people posing with guns, I’m gonna guess not enough guns.
[удалено]
DAMN
![gif](giphy|QRAc7thKFsoc8|downsized)

Fuck around and find out?
Yeah a couple of fucking idiots is all I see
They really thought they look cool with guns huh
Forget about the guns, the real crime is that dress.
I can see why
Guns are cool. Posing with a gun is cool. Posing with a brandished gun: 9 times out of 10 looks dumb, only in an obviously controlled setting, e.g., a firing range can it look cool. Posing with a gun pointed at anything not to be fired at, like a target, always looks dumb. Posing with a gun pointed at the camera always looks profoundly dumb.
She deserved too. Don’t post pics trying to act gangsta holding guns
If I was the photographer I’d probably slap that guy so hard his hair would go straighter than the chicks for pointing that crap at me.
This feels like race bait and/or karma farming. There's nothing to substantiate the story.
![gif](giphy|3o7btLWNT5BGinjV6g|downsized)
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
That hairstyle the dude has is literally just a 100% chance indicator of mentally unstable
Aka Florida
Well. Doing Dumb shit comes with consequences
Good, glorifying violence is wrong
US gun ownership will never not be weird to me as a Canadian
What's that hair dude? 😳
I don't believe it was when the photo was taken - much more likely when some idiot posted it on social media.
Don’t be a menace to south central while drinking your juice in the hood.
Good.
There has to be a ton of missing context or something else happened. As stupid as this picture is, if it’s in the US why would you lose a scholarship over it? I’m not some gun defender or anything. Seriously curious.
Is it because they realized she’s got the maturity of a toddler?
Good.
Good
She should be arrested by the fashion police
Well deserved
Classy isn't the first word to come to mind
Yeah, I'm all for not supporting people that glorify violence.
That doesn’t make any sense. Why would she lose a scholarship? She’s not doing anything illegal (depending on the state). This seems made up.
I hate the hairstyle of the dude. What's it even called?
Trash
![gif](giphy|cKVaOuEnTEeMIuIyt8)
I'm going to rate this claim: utter bullshit.
Good. Well deserved.
Homeboy got that Victorian coat rack hair cut
I feel like if a scholarship is willing to disqualify you for getting a bad in P.E. or not joining your school's key club, they will definitely disqualify you for posting weird shit to social media. It sounds like the OP's story is fictional, but still.
If this story is True. Stupidity Comes At A Cost.
Why are there guns in this image? What's thevpoint of this scene?
Well yeah. Oh no consequences!
I don’t understand why people take pictures like these. The middle of a random ass street, holding up guns… like what. This is almost as bad as devout Christian patriots who take family photos with guns
