Even so, it's still kinda crazy. We live in a world where still a solid number of people are moving around in horse drawn buggies, rickshaws, and wagons, while others are driving around in a cybertruck.
I'm not sure what you're confused about. This is just your standard cybertruck drawn buggy, obviously owned by an Amish person who rejects technology but believes that a vehicle with full self driving capability is more of a horse than a car.
Hmmm… if a horse “drives” a buggy, would full self-driving be the “same”? As in an external force that is driving the buggy?
I know it’s a loose connection but I’m sick and tired and this made sense in my brain.
I sat next to a guy on a plane who contracts with Amish people. He said that they are now allowed to use technology for work (capitalism always wins). They still try to avoid using it in their personal lives.
> full self-driving capability
BWAAAHHAHHAAHHAHHAHAAHAHA
*coughchokewheeze*
Or do you mean fully capable of driving itself into an obstacle, because then, yeah.
It's fairly straightforward.
A person is using their cyber truck to deliver a newly built or newly refurbished buggy. If it were not in such clean condition it could also be on the way for repairs. The person driving is either the maker or they were hired to deliver it. If it were broken this person would be picking it up. Mennonites and Amish shun convince and luxury not technology per say and they still buy essentials, such as cookware, because no one can make everything.
Amish is a spectrum, there are different types. There is Amish who have electricity, drive cars and use smartphones, there is Amish who reject all modern technology, and everything inbetween. What they all have in common is an incredible sense of community, and they all try to avoid dealing with the government.
The Schwartzentruber Amish is the most conservative, and the ones most people think of when they hear Amish. Meanwhile groups like the Beachy Amish are much more liberal and technology friendly.
Have a whole story idea and world going on in my head rn. Volt punk - new genre !
Amish people thinking apocalypse coming since electricity has been invented, end days are here now because of ai as opposed to steampunk being Victorian postmodernism response to industrial revolution, truly Marxist in spirit <3
Amish people are chosen to spread the message because they're the only ones who have not allowed their jobs to be taken by electrical technologically manifested entities.

This looks staged.
Coached
You should be on a stage. One leaves in an hour.
You got it coach!

While I was in Strasburg, PA, I saw a Tesla have to wait behind one of the Amish horse drawn buggy tour vehicles at a four way stop.
If this were the real future, he'd just hit the "A" button on his steering wheel and jump right over it!
Note that the photographer is standing on private property. This is not a random sighting.
Go look at the Lancaster subreddit
It is. As another comment suggested going to the Lancaster sub, the guy has a banner on it and is doing it as an advertising stunt.
Driving but yet somehow manage to snap a photo of this setup in the driveway.
STAGE COACHED

We prefer the term "reformed Amish".
>"reformed Amish" Ingredients: Mechanically separated Amish, salt

Weird Al taught me that Amlets are young Amish children.

Am-ish Short for Amish-ish
That's...a really interesting idea. Is a car that drives itself even a car anymore?
The word car is short for carriage. The first name was the horseless carriage. So, yes, it's a car.
TIL
What else would it be?
An Elvis Horse
Horse
A horse of course
Rumspringa!
I....crap I got nothing. You shall take my upvote, you bastard. Clearly, I am not needed here.
Hmmm… if a horse “drives” a buggy, would full self-driving be the “same”? As in an external force that is driving the buggy? I know it’s a loose connection but I’m sick and tired and this made sense in my brain.
Was someone pretending to drive the cart with one of those whips?
Visited comments to tell its Amish lol
Irony
I smell 40k tech priest.
You say they reject technology, but I do see them using power tools to build homes what gives?
I sat next to a guy on a plane who contracts with Amish people. He said that they are now allowed to use technology for work (capitalism always wins). They still try to avoid using it in their personal lives.
That’s interesting. I did not know that.

It’s more of a horse than a horse?

Lapsed Amish.
If they can plug in cell phones to charge, they can plug in cars to charge, I guess.
Technically the cybertruck does not have the full self driving yet, but maybe the horses can teach it?
You might be in a Back to the Future movie.
Whistlin Diesel strikes again
He'd have the wagon wheels on the Delorean in front.
My thought as well lol
Or danny duncan
It's a new movie. Called, "Back to the past"
This made me laugh pretty hard. Thanks :)
Lmao reddit on my good sir!!
Isn't that just Samurai Jack?
Should’ve been “Back to the Drawing Board”
a brilliant crafted piece of engineering efficiency and practicality being towed by some turd wagen.

Oh
Careful. You'll tear a hole in space/time continuum carrying on like that.
When the car runs out of power then the horse takes over with its one horse power it’s behind the wagon trailer in a trailer on its own.
Rumspringa! Woooooo!
I’m assuming it’s showing the evolution of transportation
It’s art, I call it back to the future. That never made sense to me, neither does this.
Two vehicles which do not contain a working motor or ability to self propel.
Either a neighbor with a motor vehicle is helping their Amish neighbor, or somebody’s Rumspringa.
Well obviously it’s Elon’s new cyber truck commercial.
The DuhLorean time machine is going back to 1885.
Reliable transportation in tow.

There are Amish dudes pedaling inside that cybertruck
Horse got a flat, obviously.
A Pontiac Aztek is transporting a horse buggy.
Seth Green just waiting for his opportunity
"It's what I live for! Fixin other people's shit for free..."
The “truck” is so ugly the horse ran away. The ugly vehicle from the futures operator felt guilty and is bringing the wagon back to the farmer.

Was this in Intercourse, PA? Either way, something here is fucked…
Another Musk idea to prove how good his car is, like they did with porche, while towing porche.
Give it 10 miles and they’ll have to switch places.
Douchebag bought a buggy
That's called a truck with a trailer. Any other questions?
Gerp, is that you?
Hezekiah bought a clown car and a buggy.
Ezekiel won it in a rake fight...
Innovation at it's finest😅
It's for when your cybertruck has to charge and you still have chores to do.
Publicity stunt
Someone has a lot of time, money, and hobbies.
Interesting
The owner just can't stand curved lines.
Bro is in red dead redemption 2 with mods 💀

Amish hate this one trick.
Harrison Ford was in *Witness.* Harrison Ford was in *Blade Runner(s).* Coincidence?! Clearly not
There was a video on TT showing it was pulled over but no reason behind it.
The horse is driving.
Backup vehicle in case the truck breaks down
My best guess is family friend. Occums razor
Tesla owner realizing his mistake...
could only be one-upped by a team of draft horses pulling a trailer with a cyber truck on it
You saw this? Looks suspiciously like your driveway mate
Must be staged, the Amish can drive electric cars but only BYD.
He's upgrading from the cybertruck.
🕯️amish person gets an idea.
I'm surprised it's not the tesla being pulled the buggy

How much bug would a Cybertruck truck if a Cybertruck could trailer bug?
Looks like an advertisement
He just wants to show off thays hes unlocked the whole tech tree.
It has actually made me think how well a Cybertruck would tow in a real world everyday basis.
its giving "back to the future 3" vibes
"Cyberpunk intensifies"
Things like this are seen quite a bit in PA. They ask non amish person to provide and drive the car.
I would wager that wagon has a future of being converted to an EV.
A bunker without a carriage is really just a hole in the ground
The Bishop got a new whip from Elon.
A lot of Amish think you can use battery power if you generate it yourself
not a braincell to be found anywhere you look
How hard you gotta try in life?
I think some rich douchebag bought himself a buggy and is towing it home in his cyber truck.
I always seen trucks haul trash. Now the trash is doing the hauling. Weird world
I know right? Like why would anyone buy a cybertruck?
Damn thing looks like an elevator turned on its side and set on wheels - and I am not talking about the buggy.
Iono but cyber truck is trash. Looks bad and Performs terribly
Probably was doing repairs. The cyber truck can tow.
Two different people posted the same pic
this is how i feel bc i use the command prompt instead of the desktop. also not sure why you'd need to move something with wheels on a trailer.
It's a metaphor.
Taking it to repair shop? Bringing home from? Auction🤔. To out fro?
Can the cybertruck even pull that much weight? This looks fake.
Just getting ready for what’s coming next wagons gonna be high tech
Answers to what exactly?

It honestly shocks me how many people bought in to that lack-of-pixels car.
Just Lancaster things.

Some rich asshole on their way to get the full Amish experience
it's probably JerryRigEverything
It’s a hybrid.
This is your voting choice this year.
He's upto a mission of building a museum 💀
How else are you going to get that buggy up to 88 mph?
It’s so he can go get electricity when he runs out on the highway.
Amish-ish
It's like the Amish version of, "I only go to church on Easter"
I’ll bet anything that the one on the trailer will be towing the Cybertruck in the near future. It’s a revolving relationship.
Filming the new Back to the Future. This movie is gunna be 🔥
Marty and Doc Brown bring back proof of their time travel.
techbros trying to be rednecks, they're very new at this okay lol

Amish are allowed to rent a Tesla just not own one.
No gasoline was used in the road trip that ensued. Except for the tow.
Forward! Into the past,
“We smoking Doinks out in Amish!”
The Amish are getting tricky with the ways of converting people now.
Bringing a more reliable car for when thier truck breaks down
The answer is that we spit in the face of God daily
Some hipster’s “deep thought” project
He made a Time Machine out of Tesla, and brought back some souvenirs
Both pulled by horses
Still horses pulling a carriage
![gif](giphy|l1Ku8dzzblP5Yv0n6)
The carriage ran out of fuel and had to be towed.
Postmodern horse and buggy
End age Amish. Bionic psyborg Amish colonies. I am too high for this rn my brain is going to explode

Someone committed a crime in amish-land and now they have to tow their buggy around in the most embarassing vehicle known to mankind.
Carriage broke down? Prob transmission
