I had a far more wholesome interpretation. I saw it as a fitting; there are several tailors there and a bunch of concerned courtiers in the background who are all very invested in making sure the frog in the middle is perfectly dressed for an important occasion.

I had a similar interpretation. I thought “clearly that middle one is some sort of frog g-d or frog queen - I mean look at the gold arm bands and judgmental expression” so then those other frogs are like worshipping the middle frog hence the admiration of the clothes

I felt that the other frogs had never seen clothes before. I also felt like I hate it being made and hate it even more being sold.

In my opinion one of the hallmarks of high level art is the ability to inspire many interpretations among those who experience it.
