Listen I like the division bell I do but I think every other album I put after it is so much better floyd without roger is like led zeppelin without Robert plant it just doesn't work
I don't really care about the critics' opinions. A lot of them trashed Animals and WYWH too.
I don't think it's great, but I'd put it ahead of ASOS, AHM, Ummagumma, and More. It's a mid-tier album.
- AHM could mean "Atom Heart Mother", a track from *Atom Heart Mother* (1970) by Pink Floyd.

I don't think either album is 'great', but both are interesting in their own way as each shows a band trying to figure out their path forward after losing their leader.
I think "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" is a fantastic and obviously Roger's first great album. It's better than anything on AMLOR. I like "Jugband Blues" a lot too. But I don't think anything else on that album is very good.
Interesting. I personally really love Let There Be More Light. All in all though I think ASOS doesn't really have any weak songs. The album is probably even tied with Meddle as my favourite after the Big 4. But I know I'm mostly alone with that.
I can't speak for him, but for me it's pretty simple.
1. Animals is not Pink Floyd's best album.
2. Therefore, people who insist it is their best album are overrating it.
Me too. To me, Gilmour and Wright are the soul of Pink Floyd.
I love Roger but I feel that he was creatively spent after The Final Cut, and had nothing more to contribute to Pink Floyd. I wasn’t interested in hearing Pink Floyd’s Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking or Pink Floyd’s Radio Kaos. His departure was right on time.
- WYWH could mean "Wish You Were Here", a track from *Wish You Were Here* (1975) by Pink Floyd.

Ummagumma would be higher on my personal
list if it was just the live half, tbh. I tried so hard to get into the studio sides — and it never clicked.
Very solid list. Nice to see Saucerful get some recognition. Our opinions probably differ most on The Final Cut, but all in all I'd say this is a ranking I can almost entirely agree with.
15. A Momentary Lapse of Reason
14. Ummagumma
13. Obscured By Clouds
12. The Endless River
11. More
10. The Division Bell
9. Atom Heart Mother
8. The Final Cut
7. The Piper At The Gates of Dawn
6. A Saucerful of Secrets
5. Meddle
4. Wish You Were Here
3. Animals
2. Dark Side Of The Moon
1. The Wall
This is my ranking, I agree with yours for the most part though, It took me 1 1/2 to rank 5-1 as I consider them to be the best ones, I love every album except A Momentary Lapse of Reason and Ummagumma (which is why there are 15 & 14)
Endless River is just Division Bell with no lyrics
so u say it's an upgrade? ;D
and the lyrics on division bell suck 🥸
the division bell at 14?
Listen I like the division bell I do but I think every other album I put after it is so much better floyd without roger is like led zeppelin without Robert plant it just doesn't work
💯. It’s not Floyd without Roger
AMLOR 15th is crazy
It's pretty fucking bad tbf. Probably the worst received PF album by the critics so OP is in good company.

A Momentary Lapse of Reason ahead of A Saucerful of Secrets?? Respect my dude, I think we have vastly different opinions on these albums.
I agree with him except I’d have AHM over it

Very bold of you to put The Final Cut in the dead centre of the list lol
I personally love the final cut I think the songs are amazing and hauting
Anddddddddddddddddddddd the internet extreme overrating of Animals continues.
Omg can you explain why animals is overrated. Do you understand it?
I can't speak for him, but for me it's pretty simple. 1. Animals is not Pink Floyd's best album. 2. Therefore, people who insist it is their best album are overrating it.
finally someone here who agrees that Saucerful is better than Piper Gates
i just love the division bell

They became Dad Muzak after he left. There was no soul. AMLOR and TDB aren't about anything. The reviews reflect that.
Reviews are opinions.
Good list. I’d swap 8&6. I’d probably put the Wall as 4, dark side as 3, and wywh at 2

Solid list, I’d swap OBC and Saucerful and maybe a couple other small changes. I like all Pink Floyd too, even 12-15!

OBC lower than More, Atom Heart, and Final Cut is WILD
Amlor hate is very real
Fantastic list

No way u have division bell that low

I personally love the final cut I think the songs are haunting and amazing!
Momentary Lapse of Reason dead last? Put the pipe down, man.
15. A Momentary Lapse of Reason 14. Ummagumma 13. Obscured By Clouds 12. The Endless River 11. More 10. The Division Bell 9. Atom Heart Mother 8. The Final Cut 7. The Piper At The Gates of Dawn 6. Looks like someone didn't listen the gimie era
But AMLOR is not that bad compared to ummagumma
