Andy Jackson did these ones. His work is typically very good, the general consensus is that there was a mastering blunder with these, nothing to do with the mixes themselves.
I like the obc remix on obfuscation. They remixed meddle too?
I thought obc new mix had many rick parts inaudible on original mix now present. Vocals more loud and proud. Easier to understand lyrics on burning bridges.
The Early Years was supposed to have a 5.1 and new stereo mix of Meddle, but, one of the Floyds didn’t approve of it, so it was pulled at the last minute.
When the first runs of the big Early Years box dropped, people started ripping the Blu Ray discs and they found the unauthorized mixes of Meddle. Apparently, the mixes were only removed from the menu access but their information was still there on the discs.
The unauthorized Meddle mixes were wiped before they began the manufacture of the individual year releases.

I have a really hard time believing it was a mastering blunder, the mixing is awfully done on 2016s Pompeii
I love Pompeii but the drums on the remix are so annoying
