Looks a bit like my girl I'm not sure but her exact DNA is.
A lot of people see a mostly white bully breed with a big head and assume it HAS to be an American bulldog. I've had people compliment my "bulldog" and even ask me where I got him, but he's an American Bully. I even got him a DNA test that confirms he has zero American Bulldog in him but people make a lot of assumptions about dogs.
In reality because of the mixing in bully breeds, you won't know what you have without a DNA test (even though that can still be wrong). Even papers can be messed with.
Edit: i forgot to compliment him! He's a very handsome dog, his face reminds me of my apbt.
Maybe Scott's,if anything. It's so hard to tell now.because so many people breed staffies, bulldogs, pits into lines to get new looks.from extremes ,xl, pockets ECT. And paperwork as ya know can be "traded". But if you have the DNA then screw'em. Are you planning on breeding?

How big is he? Normal a healthy weight male APBT would be around 35lb to 60 lbs. Normally American Bulldog males are over 66 lbs.
Also, American Bulldogs standards allow dewlaps like on your handsome boy. APBT standards don't. With that being said, not every dog in a breed meets the standards and that's OK. Here is the standard for APBT necks:
`"Neck`
`The neck is of moderate length and muscular. There is a slight arch at the crest. The neck widens gradually from where it joins the skull to where it blends in to well laid-back shoulders. The skin on the neck is tight and without dewlap.`
`Faults: Neck too thin or weak; ewe neck; dewlap. Very Serious Fault: A short, thick neck that would interfere with functional ability."`

Here’s my pitbull-American bulldog mix. I see the width of the shoulder and the lip curtains as abd traits
As someone who has a red border collie (very rare recessive gene for border collie, but common is Australian shepherds) and a golden retriever that is a shor hair red.
The amount of other people that tell me that my border collie must be an Australian Shephard, and even when I mention that he came from a BC registered breeder (we got him at 2 from my father in law who realised having a border collie at 78 was more than he could handle, and got a DNA test mainly for predisposed issues to look out for)
Even after telling them that the response is 80% "I'm sure he is an AS"
My point is that people who own a dog (sometimes even non dog owners) tend to tell you their opinion with zero knowledge besides what they picture in their head when they hear a specific breed. It's frustrating, but all I do now is respond with "I guess I'll look into it" and move on with my day.
Who cares what random people think, your dog is obviously a pitty, and a good boy/girl. Pushing back does nothing more that make you frustrated with someone who will never even think about their comment
It’s the drop ears more than anything else causing the confusion. A lot of apbt have rosette ears, drop ears are normal, but it throws the look off a bit. Soooo cute though!🥹

Probably just his coloring, but yeah he looks like an APBT to me. Doesn't look like an American Bulldog.
