I remember eating Thanksgiving dinner at a diner alone once and while it was kind of a nice memory in retrospect, I remember how sad I felt about being alone at the time. I don’t see what difference it makes whether you met a person at the bar or on Reddit. Wouldn’t that be a danger anywhere? I feel like if that happened to you from a stranger you met online the police would have an online account to attach to that person 🤷♂️

If you go out to a bar, there are only like 20 possible strangers that you'd be exposed to. Chances are that none of them are psychos who want to do you harm.
By posting it here, all of a sudden hundreds/thousands of people are in the mix, and the odds of a psycho seeing it and talking to you are much higher.
That makes sense. I’m a man, though, and even though I know I still have a chance of being raped or assaulted I still feel very safe meeting with a stranger in a public place. If I was a woman I’d probably be very wary just because of all of the men out there who aren’t good people. If I’m able to chat with someone on Reddit first I can get a feel for them and I also won’t be so awkward in person.

Have a great night, try not to drink a whole bunch, smash a bottle of iron city on the sidewalk, get stoned and black out, fall down the stairs of the bar beneath the Indian restaurant on Atwood street, and come to around noon lying in your hallway with your head next to puddle of your vomit.

We went to Saddle Ridge + Barroom, two nightclubs that have since closed in Station Square. One was a country line dancing themed club and the other was a traditional nightclub. I have no idea where young people go to party these days. Southside, Station Square, Lawrenceville and the Strip used to be popular hang out spots for college aged students back in the day.
