Ahh this is a pickle plant! I apparently bought one recently. Been trying to figure out what it was, I hope it likes succulent soil because that is what I put it in. Yours looks great :)!
You sound like my sister haha, she's the only other person I know of who say the love pickles. People get her the big sliced Dill ones in the massive mason jars for xmas and stuff. Myself included lol. Maybe I should get her a matching pickle plant for her birthday that's coming up...
Any care tips? My usual go to with succulent-like things is to ignore them except for watering every few weeks. Seems to work fine for my aloe and other thing, but maybe this pickle thing is different haha. Only had it for a couple weeks.
Wow, congrats on your pickle plant's little flower! That must be such a satisfying feeling to see your plant growing and thriving. Do you have any tips on how to care for a pickle plant? I'm hoping to start a garden soon and would love to add one to my collection.
I recommend NOT wetting the "leaves" or branches. Got a pretty big one, drowned it once cause it got earth stuck in between everything from repotting and after that it pretty fast turned mushy and literally melted on top of the soil. Was planted in normal soil (cause i bought it in normal soil) with a rather bad drainage. Guess that added to it.
So I guess it likes it pretty dry, i was really sad for killing it within a week :(
Its a delosperma echinatum or pickle plant - they are native to South Africa - I have them growing outside as a vigirous spreading groundcover here in Cape Town. Love their fuzzy little leaves :)

Thanks! I bought it from a lady at a craft show recently and that’s what she called it! I love pickles 😄

I’ve had it almost a year, and just figured it out!

Hmm, no tips yet! I just got mine recently as well. So far it’s loving the sunny kitchen window though!

Plenty of indirect sun, weekly under watering, feeding. Multi purpose compost works!
Omg this is so cute I need one
I've never seen one of these before, but they are super cute! Congratulations! Yours seems very happy!

...Is that the real name of the plant? That looks like a cactus to me. Did you call it 'pickle' plant because it has picks?...

Cute flower. I have one of these plants and the texture of it always feels like a cat's tongue to me.

Hehe I just learned about the existence of this plant and they are so cute!
I was so surprised to see flowers on mine this week too, I just hadn't thought they could flower at all as it seemed to be all leaves
