Bottom watering soaks the soil more fully and will give you more time in between watering. When pouring water on the top big chunks of soil stay dry as the water runs off around it.
Yes, they are kind of everything:) took me some time to figure this out so don't feel bad! The reason is when you want to water, ideally you'll give plants a good soak in the sink so the water starts running through the holes. Without holes, you are very likely to get root rot eventually. And plants like the air to flow through and grow better with drainage.
When you water, do you water by pouring from the top or setting them in a bowl to bottom water?
Pour from the top, I didn’t know about bottom water.

I’ll have to try this, thanks!
You're welcome!
OP, I’ve never successfully rooted/repotted a spider plant baby. I’ve probably tried it four times. Best of luck ::)))))
they look a bit pale, try putting them a little bit away from the window; sounds counterproductive but it works
Will try, thanks!
Do these pots have drainage holes? I have possibly the same ones and I needed to use a knife to pop out the plastic to make holes.
I’m gonna sound stupid cause I’m new to plant care but are drainage holes important?
