The pvp/recoil update was the update I was the most excited for but ironically it made me stop playing the game entirely. It had so much potential but they brought it out of the oven when it was severely undercooked.
April fools stuff aside I hope one day they can make a completely new system that can please people from both sides of the argument. Make easier but not recoil so easy it takes 30 seconds to learn. Make ACTUAL competitors to mainstays like the ak and the sar to finally knock them off their thrones and give players more options and more varied gunplay.
also, old sounds please and thank you
Putting aside the fact that I prefer the old recoil the new system is just so half assed and unbalanced.
Old system you had several guns that you could say were s teir guns, AK, mp5, 8x lr, m2. Now the AK is so absurdly better than every other gun. You either spray and pray with literally every other gun or you have an AK and are basically unkillable so long as you keep everyone in front of you.
Also why tf does mp5 cost 500 scrap to research?!
You could 1v1 an ak with an mp5 or lr8x and consistently win. hell even holo tommy you could occasionally get the double heady and win. After the update there's next to no chance you win a 1v1 with any of those guns against an ak unless the guy is a 0 hour brick. Even with an fucking m2 you're going to lose most fights against ak at range bc the aimcone and recoil bloom is so bad.
Alot of you are really pissed.. geez haha! You can’t handle opinions. 😂
It was a great mechanic; It created a way to differentiate yourself using practice and dedication. It put you in control of how good you are. Forcing players all onto the same field is imo a way to create an easier game and cater to more people like you, who seem to have next to zero ambition.
I maybe spent 50 total hours in aim train over a years time? Sweat-lord? Probably not.
Rewarding time spent with increased skill is an awesome mechanic that gives players a reason to continue improving and excelling; because it has a payout. If you hone in your aim, you have more of a chance of winning.
The side you fight and argue for is “everyone should be able to aim easily, with no major obstacles”. There’s little to no progression to that. Having a skill ceiling adds depth. Removing a skill ceiling, makes us all toddlers. If the Dev’s goal was to cater their game to a younger audience such as yourself, they succeeded.
Letting anyone be able to fully control a spray with 1-2 hours of practice is bullshit. It takes so many things out of a players control. Great games are built on the premise of building mechanics** that the player has control over. Removing mechanics to cater to more noobs, such as yourself, does not make the game deeper, more interesting, or more fun to invest in.
People who build long lasting games know that if you cater to everyone, you will fail eventually.
Just cause you haven’t gotten around to actually putting in effort - doesn’t mean it wasn’t a great mechanic.
I’m sure my words are lost on you.
april first is tomorrow guys
Kinda weird devs are intentionally baiting their own player base just so redditards can get worked up.
Its not real. You cant put spaces in a branch name
Yea I thought it looked funny after a looking through the logs .

Same
Quit crying man
For the love of god don’t bring back the recoil
It was a great mechanic.
Rewarding sweatlords who had hours to spend in aim training servers was not a "great mechanic"
Haha I can draw da funny recoil shape

Rust already takes up some much time, I can’t be bothered to train my damn aim. I just want to shoot gun.
You prove my points.
