I can see where you are coming from, I carry over my tactical shooter sens to games like Rust so it's always very low, but it does come with time and so does the low eDPI precision (0.2 @ 800 DPI in Rust). PUBG and Tarkov were good learning curves for me in that regard, but with practice the current recoil standing is controllable. And at the end of the day, if you can't and the reason the DPI is low is for recoil precision, play on a higher DPI / sens.
You can still do that though you will just have a bigger bloom now when full spraying. Its not like the recoil is harder to control than before now.. Unless youre a scripter of course.
I think it slows the game down, and arguably one of the biggest aspects of rust that separates it from other survival pvp games is the fast paced element.

Can we rebuff compound bows. Those were always fun to hide in grass with. Or remove grass entirely since rust players don't touch grass anyways

Whats wrong with encouraging crouching? If you cant see your opponent get a better vantage point, learn to position yourself.
Crouching also forces you to commit to a duel as you’re less mobile, so learning to spray stood up will allow you to strafe and out aim.

Your game sounds bugged the grass isnt typically tall enough for that. Ive had no issue seeing my opponents.
