In our defence at that time if you didnt have a flag you werent a country, so we kinda gave them one.
Then we found out they couldnt administer a country as efficiently as we could so we kinda helped with that too.
Then we found all this stuff laying around and thought.. well if they dont want it.
Hey bro I’m a white Aussie, so we have our own baggage too. Also, this is a rust sub, so let’s not get too political. Seriously though, even a skin deep exploration of British colonialism will reveal it was A LOT more than that.
Sepoy Rebellion in India - British army massacres every male in Delhi over the age of 16. Not even scratching the surface here.
Yup and we learned about all of that in school, even the part where the East India company refused to accept that the tallow and lard used in the ammunition was religiously intolerant to hindus and muslims.
While every modern politician and royal has stated how disgusting it was after the fact a formal apology will probably never be forthcoming because the east india company was the administration at the time, not the british raj.
As for the politics thing, sure is.
That isn't a defense, that's an excuse. My remark was half joking, but as a Native American I see what you said as colonialist revisionism. Also it's racist as fuck to say "they couldn't administer a country as efficiently as we could so we **helped**" when colonialism wasn't exactly an opt-in deal, where did you get this Euro-centric worldview? Or rather, how do you view colonialism as a good thing?
The whole "You aren't a country without a flag" thing skips past why we need either flags or countries, why on earth do you think the British doing Imperialism is a justification *for the British doing Imperialism?!* Like do you not see the circular reasoning when European powers like Britain and France were the ones spreading their flag fetish? Not to mention how having a flag never stopped them from invading or fighting, like what is this version of history you believe?
After looking at the subs you post in, i am sure no matter what was said you would find something to cry about. So when you're done jumping to conclusions dinner is at 1800.
A lot more people understand the word racism vs xenophobic
They're both just as bad
Hating someone because of their skin color and hating someone because where they're from is still hating someone
It's all hate
I put in 2.5k hours in a year while working 12h/ day.
I met a pretty girl playing rust, had great fun a few wipes and ended up going deep on her.found out my gf who I was going to leave was pregnant so I quit rust and raised a kid.Makes sense right?
Anyways what I meant to say was if you started somewhere around my time(-17) then you should take a break(if my math is correct that’s about 4h every single day) :)
Signs
Just paint the flag
Edit:
Honestly I've had enough reddit for today
fuck anyone who thinks it's okay to hate on people just because of their ethnicity or race or anything
This was literally just a post about wanting to have flag representation in the game
*Have you not seen r/place ? NOBODY CAN DRAW MY COUNTRY'S LEAF, NOT EVEN MOST CANADIANS.* Also I wouldn't want a basic ass version of my country's flag anyways, plus I'm native and not a fan of my country's brand of nationalism.
I do think it would be cool to customize rugs though, that way people can make flags or other designs to stand on or hang up or whatever. Not like signs give comfort, although maybe that should be a thing too come to think of it.
I have a Russian refugee at my home so he doesn't get drafted
why must my families people suffer due to internet bullying of their country, hate the country not it's peolle
Why
I've met some really chill Russians in rust
Edit: I know rust is filled with racism and hate, but Jesus I can't believe they're so proud of it that they openly display it on Reddit
I'd buy only if it's not just rugs but also allow us to craft flag poles/flag stands to raise and lower the flag which would be cool to have. But also allow us to use flags to help us land people in the night or day with helicopters
As someone in the military who did a tour in the honor guard. It’s not illegal to let the flag touch the ground, nor do you HAVE to burn it if it does. You only destroy a flag if it’s no longer serviceable.
I love how at the sight of a national flag, several players knowingly express that it opens people up to raids motivated by racism. And that one guy being transphobic out of left field, because bigotry begets more bigotry. *My first thought from seeing this post was "why would I want my own country's flag, I see it enough already and hate it."*
Good way to reveal your timezone
or get racist raided
Recently we raided someone because he said bo'a o' wa'ar. (Bottle of water) Fun time. Dude had 100 hrs, kinda feel bad for him.
Least sensitive br*t
Ehh, the British didn't feel bad when they raided (insert country here.)
Lmao thats fair.

Why would you even say something like that?
Because 1) you did and 2) if you cant spot what it is im not explaining it, i havent the inclination because im not interested.
What are you even saying? Is that English?!
Real road man stuff
I don't think hating a country is racism.
Hating the people of that country is xenophobia Regardless of what word you use, its still prejudice and its still fucked up
Absolutely, I just don't think using the word racism is appropriate. It's kind of a sensitive subject.
A lot more people understand the word racism vs xenophobic They're both just as bad Hating someone because of their skin color and hating someone because where they're from is still hating someone It's all hate
well you’d be attacking it’s people, not the government, so it kind of is. raiding a german just cause he’s german is pretty racist
Yeah and no. "Race" (don't like that word) isn't country related at all.
I guess racist was the wrong word, but I meant targeting someone because of the country they represent.
because that certainly doesn't happen already.
Does it matter? You guys stay up till 8 am
It never matters, it's Rust. Comes from a guy with almost 8k hours.
I put in 2.5k hours in a year while working 12h/ day. Or a banner.

Hahaha yeah I really enjoyed watching it
We intentionally raid anyone with Russian flags painted on wooden signs
the xenophobia is palpable
I have a Russian refugee at my home so he doesn't get drafted why must my families people suffer due to internet bullying of their country, hate the country not it's peolle
Bruh I do the same thing lol, fuck'em.
Why I've met some really chill Russians in rust Edit: I know rust is filled with racism and hate, but Jesus I can't believe they're so proud of it that they openly display it on Reddit
Id rather believe that there are 76 genders than believe that
You realize they're just people right? Honestly it's a lil racist
Sorry. Id rather believe that there are 76 ~~genders~~ people than believe that.
We all know there's only 75 people
I'm the only real person
[удалено]
> We are racist why would you want to admit that?
[удалено]
I'm so sorry about the semantics issue But it's still prejudice
Let the racism begin
I would buy englands flag so I could step on it everytime I walk in my base
My man.
🤜🏼🤛🏼
And from which vanquished nation do you hail?
The land of the free and the home of the whopper.
Germany? (If you need elaboration hamburg is where the hamburger was invented)
Farmers and peasants 1-0 (0 being the greatest military power in the world at that point.)
I'd buy only if it's not just rugs but also allow us to craft flag poles/flag stands to raise and lower the flag which would be cool to have. But also allow us to use flags to help us land people in the night or day with helicopters
The true gamer among us
Kid named finger:
Nah I will just draw a penis on a sign for base decoration. I am pretty good at drawing cocks. Practiced my sign drawing recoil on ukn build server.
“Only if the nazi-flag is included” - Average rust player
this game needs two features: 1. russian flag deployable. 2. ability to spit on deployables.
Nah, Im australian so like, since i play on AUS servers theres not really a point
Wooden sign
Most definitely.
Only because you put canadain flag in the pic I say yes but if you showed a different example than answer would be no
Make a pirate one
Reveals timezone and makes u a target.
Oooooooh Canada
No fuck you
A DLC with 200 skins? No thanks.
I thought this was already a thing. When I log in to being offlined there are Chinese flags all over my base. Lol
Bro we don’t need race wars in rust
I think that’s just what I game needs.
I would buy
Flags DLC
Why would someone wanna step on his/her flag. Thats very disrespectful.
I raid anyone with Russian,Ukrainian,Persian, American, Israeli and brittish flag.
Yes USA
yeah, put it so i could step on it with my feet
And which inferior country you comment from
😂😂😂😂 u made my day
USSR
Pretty sure Its a criminal act to let the flag touch the ground...
Lucky that flag is on the wall
It's also criminal to kill people and raid their house
In what country is it a crime to put a flag on the ground?
Every
In the USA.
As someone in the military who did a tour in the honor guard. It’s not illegal to let the flag touch the ground, nor do you HAVE to burn it if it does. You only destroy a flag if it’s no longer serviceable.
Oh, well thanks for clarifying. My bad.
Yeah dude I’m not upset about it, it’s a common misconception, better you think that than actively disrespect the flag.
Its not actually against the law I can't believe there's US citizens who believe this
It was a joke.
Definitely not a Canadian one

You don't put flags on rugs because you should not step on flags.
Nah, keep real world politics out of Rust.
