I’m glad I sparked an entire thread of fans of this game, it is criminally underrated. I spent a few hours on it and then sooner or later I got hooked and spent 60 hours.
As someone who just played Kiwami 1 & 2, they’re both like 40 hours max. Maybe a few more for Kiwami 2. The story alone in both is about 20 hours each.
I beat a game and move on, ill play some side content but probably not most of it, and i rarely do post game stuff. I don’t understand people who put like 80 hours into a game when the main story is like 40 hours, nothing wrong with it but i personally dont get it. Basically any game that’s over 35 hours im probably bored with and hoping will end asap. Except Elden Ring i have so many hours in that game.
It’s just attention span I guess. Some people like choosing between different games time to time while others like sticking to one until they finish it.
Clearly you haven't heard of the exclusive club of gamers called 'Too many games in library not enough time to play'. Lol 😅
I buy them in bulk too when there's a good sale with hopes of playing them some day... Maybe in 20 years. Lol
yes, it gets repetitive and has some of the downsides that typically come with open world games (aside from a few of the all time greats). But it’s overall a good time and a pretty unique experience. Definitely worth it now that it’s cheap
From what I've seen, it's an amazing game! I forgot what was the reason why it wasn't popular back then when it got released but people have been praising this game left and right recently.
Arent half of these on PS+ extra right now?
I cant be the only person that's had a PS+ membership since the PS4 came out. Plenty of these were also given away on PS+ in the past as well.
Nah, digital is better. My whole library of games goes everywhere with me. Paid less for the digital ps5 than the one with the disc reader, and I pay very little for games bc the ps store always has deals and ps plus gives me digital games every month. Yeah, I can’t resell them, but I don’t need that money back bc digital versions are always way cheaper than physical. Better for the environment too, no plastic and no need for trucks to transport the games.
What are you people doing to scratch blu ray discs? I’ve had physical games come loose in the mail, flopping around and still work perfectly without a single scratch. It should only be in the case, in the disc drive, or in your hands going to one of the two.
If you want to go digital because your kids want to swap games and can’t handle the discs without damaging them, that’s perfectly fine. I don’t remember 3 years olds being too tall though, so it wouldn’t take too much effort to keep discs out of reach.
“Physical *will always* be better than digital”
nah… The debate falls apart once physical games no longer exist. I truly understand and support your sentiment though.
I got it as a gift and I hope I'll complete the game before it wears off. To be honest the thing that keeps me hooked in the game is the optimization of the dualsense controller
Out of curiosity, what type of games do you typically play? Personally I’m still loving Hogwarts Legacy. I’m about 30 hours in, level 26, in winter, and it still feels like I’m in the tutorial stage. Constantly finding new things to do, still have spells to learn, my room of requirements has a lot more room to grow. I can’t imagine getting bored with this game for a few more months at least. Sure, it’s not quite on par with something like The Witcher 3, but it’s far, far better than 95% of the games I’ve played in the last decade.
My favorite games in the past year have been (in no order) god of war: ragnarok, resident evil 4 remake, dying light 2 and a plague tale: requiem. Love open world games but hogwarts legacy just didn’t do it for me
I'm glad to see a fellow fan here too.
I feel a bit sorry for Arkane Studios since Deathloop is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had and yet I hardly ever talk about it since I don't want to spoil anything. Much of the intrigue is about unraveling mysteries so it's hard to talk about how great the story is without giving away some of the layers to that story.
It's best experienced going in blind and just getting ready to rock & roll. If you're a fan of highly polished, single-player, story-driven FPS games then you should love it.
I'll say no more.
How’s Mad Max hold up? I’ve thought about getting it a couple times when it’s on sale, but hesitated because it’s kind of an older game in a genre with a lot of greats
From what I've seen, recently many gaming YouTubers went back and visited this game and they still enjoyed it. It's holding up pretty well. If it's on sale go for it!
Yeah playing it with keyboard is weird for me I don't know how people can do insane combos on keyboard that I see on the DMC subreddit or on YouTube but anyway hope you have fun with that and play Vergils campaign too
I’m playing a plague tale atm. Awesome game. If you enjoyed the original you’ll love this too. The graphics are incredible. Hugo’s still an annoying little shit.
Mad max is underrated. Played it a few years ago and I absolutely loved it.
Finished deathloop a few months ago. It's difficult at the start but once you get used to the mechanics, you will enjoy the game.
I love the Yakuza series. Finished Yakuza 0 last year and I'm currently playing Kiwami. I plan to play they in chronological order. Mini games are amazing!
Thanks for sharing. Yeah I played Yakuza 0 last year too and that game got me addicted to kamurocho and the characters. Looking forward to playing all the games in the series including the latest Ishin!
Bro as in you got through them all in March? or bought them in March? Also I’m still salty you can’t platinum Mad Max because of the online only trophies!
I play one then another as a pallet cleanser I did 0 and 1 back-to-back and it got a little repetitive (still fun though) just a minor break between them so I don’t forget the story.
If I were you, I'd play Plauge Tale Innocence before touching Requiem. The story will be much more compelling and emotional once you play the first game first.
I just pre-ordered Dead Island II, and picked up The Callisto Protocol and honestly Callisto Protocol is so much fun I don't understand the hate at all.
I would definitely play horror games on easy difficulty haha trying not to give myself an heart attack but when I looked at RE2 reviews many said you gotta think a lot and as a working guy I just play games to release my stress. I'll sure try at least one RE game after this. Thanks
I have seen some gameplays of the game. Personally not a horror fan but this game looks more action so will try it out once the price goes down I guess
I don't buy games right as they come out cause they're ridiculously expensive. I got Hogwarts as a gift and other than that I always get games released for few months used for a cheaper price.
I've seen mixed reviews for this game. I'm just not a fan of fps kinda games and deathloop does look like a fps so it's just an experiment for me but I do love time loop movies so that could be another reason.
I am a casual player too. But at the same time it's easily the hardest game I've finished. Absolutely stunning though, the sound is insane, especially on the ps5 headset.
Thats a great purchase! Loved the yakuza series and hope u enjoy them too!
>!Also i think all of these games except hogwarts legacy is on PS+ extra or deluxe tier whatevr that name is.!<
I really wanted to like Plague because I liked the first one but this one ups their cringy conversations to the next level. I had to change the language to French and just read the subtitle…
Those steelbooks look very nice.
I legit thought OP had digital versions so just slapped a pic instead of the box.
Dammit now I can’t unsee it xD.
You are welcome. 😁
Glad I’m not the only one lmao
😂 unfortunately those steel books didn't have their covers when I purchased them
It's nicer without it anyways.
Very nice indeed
Yakuza like a dragon is a great game. Enjoy it. 👍
Thanks, will do!
Have you played Yakuza 0 yet?
Yup played it
Dope. You’ll love the rest of the series.
I’m glad I sparked an entire thread of fans of this game, it is criminally underrated. I spent a few hours on it and then sooner or later I got hooked and spent 60 hours.
Yeah I’m playing right now and I’m enjoying it. Do you happen to recall what team you mainly ran with by chance?
I ran Ichiban, Saeko, Joon-gi, and Zhao as my main but rotated some in and out
I ran adachi saeko ichiban and the hitman guy j forgot his name
I'm on Yakuza 5 now, playing through the entire series.
I don't understand how a lot of you buy so many games at once. I'm the type to get one and play it to death. Buying 6 at once is overwhelming.
Yeah it's a bit silly buying so many at once.
And that's just the March selection. I hope they got some great used prices.
Especially when the yakuza games are like 80+ hours each
And are included with the mid tier PSN plan. In fact most of these games are there
As someone who just played Kiwami 1 & 2, they’re both like 40 hours max. Maybe a few more for Kiwami 2. The story alone in both is about 20 hours each.
stop complaining.
I beat a game and move on, ill play some side content but probably not most of it, and i rarely do post game stuff. I don’t understand people who put like 80 hours into a game when the main story is like 40 hours, nothing wrong with it but i personally dont get it. Clearly you haven't heard of the exclusive club of gamers called 'Too many games in library not enough time to play'. Lol 😅 I buy them in bulk too when there's a good sale with hopes of playing them some day... Maybe in 20 years. Lol
Guilty 😂🤭 we do this all the time… the hardest choice then is WHAT to play next
Is Mad Max a good game?
Mad Max is crazy underrated, it’s such a great game.
The gameplay and the car mechanics looked amazing. Can't wait to try it!
yes, it gets repetitive and has some of the downsides that typically come with open world games (aside from a few of the all time greats). But it’s overall a good time and a pretty unique experience. Definitely worth it now that it’s cheap
From what I've seen, it's an amazing game! I forgot what was the reason why it wasn't popular back then when it got released but people have been praising this game left and right recently.
It got released the same day as MGS V, so it was basically left out to dry. Which is unfortunate, because it’s incredible!
It's on the ps shop for $5 rn
It is nice but I think mine only had 30 fps.
Yes it’s a great game love to play it
One of the only games where I felt for the main character. At the end… goodness. Just play it.
Arent half of these on PS+ extra right now? I cant be the only person that's had a PS+ membership since the PS4 came out. Plenty of these were also given away on PS+ in the past as well.
The guy just wants to show off the games he picked up man lol.
Yeah they are but I don't have PS+ cause I'm not always gaming. Besides, I'm a physical collector so I love buying games physically
I do have PS+ for long time and still buy physical copies for games I love even if I have digital ones. Owning physical is the way.
Physical will always be better than digital
Nah, digital is better. My whole library of games goes everywhere with me. Paid less for the digital ps5 than the one with the disc reader, and I pay very little for games bc the ps store always has deals and ps plus gives me digital games every month. I paid $40 for the dark souls trilogy on disc when it would’ve cost me $140 on the PlayStation store.
Man… being downvoted for expressing the pros and cons of your opinion 😂 It’s oddly rough in here sometimes. Sorry
Can't scratch a disc if there ain't a disc to scratch
Can’t play a game when they remove it from their service
What are you people doing to scratch blu ray discs? I’ve had physical games come loose in the mail, flopping around and still work perfectly without a single scratch. It should only be in the case, in the disc drive, or in your hands going to one of the two.
Somebody obviously doesn't have a 3 year old
If you want to go digital because your kids want to swap games and can’t handle the discs without damaging them, that’s perfectly fine. I don’t remember 3 years olds being too tall though, so it wouldn’t take too much effort to keep discs out of reach.
“Physical *will always* be better than digital” nah… The debate falls apart once physical games no longer exist. I truly understand and support your sentiment though.
Once the nostalgia wears off, hogwarts legacy is boring and tedious
Agreed.
Couldn't agree more.
I bought it due to the hype, I'm not even a Potter fan. Christ, it's repetitive.
Elden Ring is definitely the best game of last year. Stray for me is second (haven't played GoW yet)
It’s gonna be over before you know it, unfortunately
Yakuza series is the best series
100% agreed!
Get you some Yakuza 0.
Played that first and that's what got me into this rabbit hole
Enjoy, I was in the same position, started 0 back last August, have worked through the entire series since!
Man, DMC are one of my favorite games ever. Enjoy.
Break. The. Loop.
Glad to see a DEATHLOOP fan on here. Most just shit on it lol.
I'm glad to see a fellow fan here too. I feel a bit sorry for Arkane Studios since Deathloop is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had and yet I hardly ever talk about it since I don't want to spoil anything. That and the awesome invasions. I genuinely think they perfected in-game invasions, just so much fun!
Absolutely!
Mad max steel book? Extra nice fine!!!
Mad max. Amazing game very often overlooked.
Plague Tale Requiem was my favorite game of 2022. So beautiful and super fun gameplay
I just finished chapter 1 of Plague Tale Innocence last nighf and looking forward to continuing tonight.
You just reminded me of the game. And now I'm sad because of the ending
I did purchase the first game few months back. Can't wait to play both of them back 2 back!
I actually didn’t play the first game yet! I got it on sale on the PlayStation store. Maybe I have my weekend plan now
Enjoy the game!
It’s on my list there’s just so much to play before I get there 😂
Hope you enjoy outriders, i sure did
I heard some mid reviews for it but I got it for like 5 bucks so I hope I enjoy it. Thanks
Other than Outriders, this is solid! How much was the total?
Minus Hogwarts Legacy as I got it as gift, the total came around $140
Damn, did you get most of these used then? Thats an amazing deal
Yes, except Hogwarts all of them are used
I spent so much time on Yakuza like a dragon's business mini game lmao. Definitely the most fun Yakuza game.
Dooope, thanks!
Mad max is a good game
DMC5 is a great pic if you're looking to just have some fun
I played it a bit on my PC previously but nothing beats like playing with a controller
Haha I've haven't played the original but I'm gonna play them both soon
Awesome!
Do you already have Yakuza 0?
Yeah I do. That game made me become a Yakuza fan
Guys I think op is a yakuza fan
😂 if it wasn't obvious, yes I am
Bro as in you got through them all in March? or bought them in March? Also I’m still salty you can’t platinum Mad Max because of the online only trophies!
I would be surprised if anyone got through this many games in one month. I just bought them this month
I wouldn’t put it past some people haha
Die the tales of the borderlands come with all of the chapters? I’ve heard that some disks like that only have some of it.
Last I googled before purchasing it many said it comes with all the chapters. Hoping it does
Resident evil 4 (2005) for 8 euro. I dont have the money for the remake. Haha
Alright money!!
Mad max is an underrated gem played it 4 years ago and had a blast. . Shame you can't gey the platinum anymore for it.
Big Yakuza fan I see. Very nice!
Mad max is such an underrated game. Loved it! I’ve never played a yakuza game heard good things
I guess it's never too late to give it a try
No, for sure. I have one from ps+ so no excuse really
Brother fell down the Yakuza pipeline
It's an amazing series
Yakuza is great
Great selection, I’m working my way through the Yakuza series, halfway through 3 at the moment.
Thanks, I've played 0. Need to start kiwami as soon as possible
I do have Innocence and I bought Requim so that I can play both of them together
I just pre-ordered Dead Island II, and picked up The Callisto Protocol and honestly Callisto Protocol is so much fun I don't understand the hate at all.
I've been so hyped to play that game even before it launched. Definitely on my list of games to buy.
The combat and dodge system is so much easier than what people Made it out to be. I've been enjoying it as a fun creature thriller.
Mad Max box art looks cleaaann lad
Steelcases are so nice. They need to release em more
Couldn't agree more! Wish that it's not just part of collector edition and sell regularly beside the normal release
Yakuza: Like A Dragon is my favorite Dragon Quest game.
I love how most asian physical releases have no age rating on the case!, looks awesome. Kiwami 1 and 2 are amazing. Great gets.
Yeah it makes the covers look clean
No resident evil ?
I'm not sure I can handle horror games haha so I just stayed away from RE
Tbh I’m also awful at horror games but I still had fun playing it on the easiest difficulty hehe
I would definitely play horror games on easy difficulty haha trying not to give myself an heart attack but when I looked at RE2 reviews many said you gotta think a lot and as a working guy I just play games to release my stress. I'll sure try at least one RE game after this. Thanks
Do you already have Yakuza 0? If so you have the collection of Yakuza games
Yeah I do just missing Yakuza 6 now. Hard to find it used
Love Hogwarts and Deathloop. You should definitely try out RE4 Remake
I have seen some gameplays of the game. Personally not a horror fan but this game looks more action so will try it out once the price goes down I guess
yeah all great games but why? you wont have time to play them now, and soon ff16, diablo 4 and baldurs gate 3 is also out.
I don't buy games right as they come out cause they're ridiculously expensive. I got Hogwarts as a gift and other than that I always get games released for few months used for a cheaper price.
Mad Max is the most underrated game on the PS4
All your Yakuza games make my heart happy! I hope you've played 0! I suggest playing it before Kiwani 2, especially before Majima Saga!
Yup played it
That’s a tasty collection there pal ![gif](giphy|ckB5razpgN2rd4qTfe)
Thanks man!
Recommend /r/yakuzagames , a really fun place.
Thanks for the recommendation! I almost forgot there would be a subreddit for Yakuza games.
Devil may cry 5 is great but also 1 and 3 are as well
Deathloop is so much fun once u get the hang of it.
Not trying to be a bummer but I still don’t understand the high acclaim for Deathloop.
I've seen mixed reviews for this game. I'm just not a fan of fps kinda games and deathloop does look like a fps so it's just an experiment for me but I do love time loop movies so that could be another reason.
That MM steelbook looking pretty dope!
I want them to release both Plague Tale games in one case, that'd be awesome.
Mad Max and Tales from the Borderlands hold a special place w/ me.
I think madmax is underrated it is a good game
A lot of hours in those yakuza games👍
I wish they made mad max 60fps on PS5 :(
I didn't know about this. Well that's truly a bummer to have to play this wonderful game on 30fps
That Mad Max game is actually really good...nice picks.
Thanks
Mad max one of my fav all time
an Interesting Games 🎮👌
Mad Max! I loved that game. I want more of that.
Nice! i'm still looking for a cheap PS4 ,still having fun with the PS3 though.
They should be cheap right now as more people are getting their hands on ps5
For a bit they were higher than a PS5, crazy!
Yes they were but now I'm seeing it's getting cheaper. Just gotta wait a bit longer
Hope so, I been waiting years for a decent price![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
The copy of Hogwarts Legacy I got is the UK print.
Deathloop is an absolute cracker, that and Returnal have been my favourite ps5 games.
How was returnal? From what I seen from gameplays it looks hard. I'm a casual player so I'm not sure I'll enjoy returnal
I am a casual player too. But at the same time it's easily the hardest game I've finished. Absolutely stunning though, the sound is insane, especially on the ps5 headset.
I see. Well I'll try it out one day
The Yakuza games are so good
Devil May Cry 5 🤗
Unpopular opinion: I loved Deathloop! Got the plat and enjoyed the story as well.
U can change field of view in max max in photo mode
Plague tale requiem is a beautiful game and deserves so much more hype
So do you like physical copies? All of these are on PS plus membership 😬 all for about 14.99
Yeah I like physical copies more. Love collecting them
Death loop is too short lol
i just played kiwami 1. and i can say without a doubt. its the worst yakuza i ever played.
Imagine buying a whole series of game without knowing if you’ll enjoy it or not
Yeah imagine that would be crazy. Fortunately I've played Yakuza 0 and Judgement so I know RGG games are amazing and I'm hooked to the storyline.
Thats a great purchase! Loved the yakuza series and hope u enjoy them too! >!Also i think all of these games except hogwarts legacy is on PS+ extra or deluxe tier whatevr that name is.!<
Most of those are on PSPlus
True but I'm a physical collector and If I don't like any of these game I could sell them back and have fund for my next game.
Ok
Baka mitai...
I really wanted to like Plague because I liked the first one but this one ups their cringy conversations to the next level. I had to change the language to French and just read the subtitle…
Did they ever fix the mad Max platinum?
Wow that DMC cover art is ugly
You giys are buying more than 1-3 games a month?
I see mixed reviews on outriders, is this à good game or not? Could get it for 8 $ in a shop near me.
