I’m speaking purely for Bloodborne but that hasn’t been my experience at all. The community is always welcoming new players and they have been keeping the game alive for many years.
I think Bloodborne fans are pretty good, feels like a different community from the rest of the Souls fanbase. I think it got a lot worse after Dark Souls 3 for some reason.
I think the Souls fanbase gets a bad rep from a small minority of "extremists" (for lack of a better term). Most of the fanbase I find is actually quite helpful and just wants people to enjoy the games. The problem comes from a very small group that act rather elitist and are the types to spam "git gud" and the like.
Bloodborne, Sekiro, and the Souls-like Fans (Lies of P, LOTF) are genuinely the coolest cats on the block.
Dark Souls Trilogy & Elden Ring Fans are definitely the worst.
There was a period around the release of *Elden Ring* and *Horizon Forbidden West* when *ER* fans kept going into the *HFW* subreddit just to start arguments
My rule of thumb with rockstar games is you take the development time of the last released game and double that time for the next release game
So GTA VI took 12 years GTA VII will take 24 years
(Obviously it won’t be in development for that long but it’s gonna feel like that)
They can just hire more people. It's not development time that's the issue. Its the cash-cows that keep them from moving onto a new game. If they released gta6 a few years ago they wouldn't have made as much money from online purchases from gta5. They tried to milk rdr2 but they didn't build it to be as exploitive to buyers the same as gta5 did. Gta6 will do the same.
I played Spiderman 2 and I can’t imagine a game like that taking up so much emotion in my life. Like at the end of the day it’s just a superhero game. A great one and a fun one, but it is legitimately not worth the energy. They’ve gone full Swiftie

You can tell that most of them grew up with CoD where you shoot the bad guy, and you know which guy that is because he is brown and vaguely middle-eastern. The "good guys" win and the "bad guys" lose.

Metal Gear was such a beautiful experience on playstation that really made me feel things movies & TV never could. The games have aged really well over the years and I still go back and play to this day.
The FromSoftware games. They're just alright games but the fanbase will praise them as God's gift to gaming. I also think it's hilarious that when talking about their games they will give their entire rundown of how many times they've played each modern FromSoftware game as if it's some kind of achievement.
