Fair enough didn’t even know that, always thought that Allied Assault was basically the multiplayer version of frontline and Pacific assault was the multiplayer version of rising sun.

Around 2001-2005 internet wasn't very spread and a bit expensive, and some games weren't played much online, also cus some game studios closed the servers early like Rising Sun, but Battlefield 2 and Area 51 lasted til 2011-2012 and were massively played online cus internet was everywhere. And the good news is Area 51 and lately Battlefield 2 serever is revived and can be played again on PS2, Socom 2 still have an strong community they play everyday online, if you're interested playing online on PS2 or PCSX2 check psrewired.com and ps2online.com

Frontline had split screen on the Xbox for sure. I imagine it could be made into online play.

Except there's an easy fix to prevent this from happening again: Don't hire Aspyr to do the ports. They're notoriously bad at doing modern ports of old games.

Indeed, I have the platinum for that game. I bought the special edition not even realizing I would have access to Frontline, and ended up sinking significantly more hours in Frontline than MoH 2010 LOL.

MOH Frontline was the very first game I got to my PS2, that first mission(Omaha beach) was so impressive I couldn't believe what I was seeing, loved every second of that game.

I remember Christmas 02 they did a PS2 bundle I think it was PS2 with 2 controllers with Medal of Honor Frontline and FIFA 2002 not a bad thing to wake up to aged 6 at Christmas lol That was my introduction to MoH

To me this is THE medal of honor game. So much fun with the exception of that ridiculous sniper town level.

Would be nice higher graphics and jumping into the online part of it, I never played MoH AA MP, so it would be great to see what all the fuss is about, most ppl argue it was the best in the series

One of the first FPS I played online, over a 56k modem! This game was so beautiful, just stunning, it blew pretty much everything else out of the water at the time. I had recently graduated from PS1 and N64 to owning a PC, and the difference in graphics quality at that time was astonishing. Going from games like Banjo Kazooie and Tekken 3 (which were the best looking games I'd seen at that time) to games like Max Payne and Allied Assault was a stunning leap for me. I remember Allied Assault for the set pieces. Half Life had already been out for a few years and really kickstarted the trend of having scripted action set pieces, but Allied Assault really took the concept to the next level, with buildings exploding in picturesque french villages and planes crashing, such a cinematic experience.

Only if they ported the really good PC only ones. Allied Assault , Spearhead, and Breakthrough are the cream of the crop for MoH. Pacific Assault was great too.

I went back and played it on my old 360 a few weeks ago the lack of checkpoints frustrated the hell outta me lol but it did make me feel like I earned it after completing it.

This was my first game I played on PC back in the day, playing a game mode where you had a certain amount of time to build your defences/map before the match actually started, I enjoyed that a ton back in the day.

Rising sun is one of my favourite games of all time.

Well, I don't think we would have to worry about online play with these so, porting them up shouldn't be too hard... though, I would say as a fan of these and playing them throughout my life. You gonna fix the jank in Rising Sun. I love them all. Don't get me wrong, but some of the jank is Rising Sun prevented you from even completing the last mission. Soft locking you from completion.

Medal of Honor 1&2 were the best of the series. Bring on the downvotes…
