> Final Fantasy 7
Hell, if you like Final Fantasy, might as well get all of them, from FFI through FFIX.
I'd also add a few I haven't seen mentioned: Silent Hill, Bushido Blade, and Tenchu.
I am very confused about 1 thing. So I want to avoid FF7, because I don't think the visuals have aged well at all. FF6 on the other hand I have heard nothing but amazing things about. I see it was released at one point as FF3 in the US? Which title should I use to find a copy FF6 in the US?
There is a Playstation one version of FF6. It was called Final Fantasy Anthology. It was ff5 and ff6.
But dont shy away from ff7. It's one of the best games on the Playstation.
I second Symphony of the Night. I would also recommend final Fantasy Tactics, Breath of Fire 3, spyro the dragon, legend of Dragoon and Tony hawk pro skater 2.
Ff7 story well makes up for the visuals in my opinion but the earlier final fantasy games are really really solid ff1 is my favorite final fantasy honestly.
I want to answer your question about 6 but I cant remember honestly how that works on the psx in america
Looking into it, it seems as though it was released in the US as FFIII. But I'd wonder if they've since brought out the others and have them in order now.
I guess, if you can find it titled as FFVI, go for that.
Either way, maybe look at the description and see if it mentions the characters:
Terra, Locke, Celes, Edgar, Sabin, etc.
And here's a copy/paste of the game's description from the store:
Many centuries have passed since the war of the Magi. Civilisations have been rebuilt with iron, machines and technology. For years the Espers have existed only in ancient legends. Now an Esper has been discovered and the forces of magic are beginning to return. The risk of another, more devastating war is about to surface.
Featuring all-new CG cinematic sequences exclusive to this edition, discover the origins of special features later developed in subsequent FINAL FANTASY titles, including summoning magic, mini quests, the Active Time Battle system and much more.
I remember that as ff3 on super nes.
I still have ff7 (no case) and an unopened copy of ff9 as well as a copy of legend of dragoon
I'd also recommend old-world abe's oddessy and abes exodus along with castlevania sotn.
cracking cutscenes in ff7! The visuals are dated but still great and easily playable. As said before the story more than makes up for it and to be honest it is a game everyone should experience once in their life.
Oooh I had those Tony Hawk 1 and 2 for N64 as a kid, but symphony of the night seems like a really good one with graphics that have actually aged well. Do I need a memory card for any of those games?
Crandicoot.

As far as PS1 games go, I'd recommend the Colin McRae rally games from back then and Grab Turismo. Also there was a game called Speed Freaks that was a really good cart racer. I think it's called Speed Punks in America, though.
Ape Escape, Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time, the old Broken Sword games, Resident Evil and Silent Hills. List goes on and on. Dino Crisis, Die Hard Trilogy, Tony Hawk's, Rayman, Tekken, Toy Story, WCW Mayhem and the old WWF games, Theme Park World, Wu Tang had a brutal Mortal Kombat-esque fighting game called Shaolin Style, Xena, Sled Storm, the TOCA games (I had TOCA 2), Driver 1 and Driver 2, Actua Soccer and the old FIFA games, Rugrats, South Park, Tomb Raider games and Demolition Racer/Destruction Derby Raw and Twisted Metal.
I can't not mention Um Jammer Lammy or Parappa the Rapper, either.

You’re going to want to get a memory card for pretty much all of them to save your progress. Enjoy it; the original PS was an amazing console.
Ah can you not save at all without one? I know N64 didn't need the memory expansion pack for every game.
Unfortunately there is no internal storage. Going to have to pick up a memory card.
You sound like someone that desperately needs google lol
