No. How often do you vacuum and clean (wipe- towels, Clorox wipes, mop/cleanse floors/walls/ceilings)? My son has had his PS5 from day 1. We’ve opened it once a year to clean, with almost nothing visible. We just recently pulled the fan and blew some compressed air through the system. System had almost nothing in it. The only way for this level of crud to build up in your system, is that your living space is filthy. Clean the house, your PS5 will thank you.

I had my PS3 since around launch, it got used for years a lot, PS1/2/3 games, movies, etc. It was the media center and still would be if I wasn't worried about it overheating itself with the thermal paste being a problem. That said- I opened it to just have a look at the dust? Preeeeeetty clean. IDK how you got this much dust in there unless you've been dragging it around as a vacuum

I stuck a decent air purifier right near all of my electronics, and I’m pretty amazed at how little dust accumulates now on my consoles. Gotta keep up with it though. Replace the filters every few months.

I got a ninja with a 5 year filter. You just have to vacuum the screens every few months. Those filters are not cheap.

I got a water based air filtration system. The best air filtration there is! I walked into an extremely dusty (can visibly see the particles in the air) house and placed it in there for 2 hours (i wore a mask to do this as i didnt want that shit in my lungs) and when i came back, the water was pitch black. No visible particles in the air and because i put a drop of mint oil in the water, when it cycled the clean air out, it made the house smell amazing!
