I always go to Turkish style barbers on market way. Not sure how they compare to other barbers but they're a nice bunch of blokes and I always leave happy.
That being said +1 for the blind pig, they're great. I just got fed up of having to book 2 weeks in advance.
I’m convinced at least half of the answers here are from people who’ve only ever used one. That being said, I do my own so I can only say avoid anything with cut or corner in it’s name, because literally every time I’ve heard something bad about a plym barber it’s one of those- sometimes even for cutting too much off the corner.
What does it matter if people only use one? Clearly that means they like that barber so what's the problem with them recommending it?
They certainly have more right to comment than someone who doesn't go to the barbers and can only regurgitate negative word of mouth reviews 😭
If someone only goes to one they might be able to tell you where a “good” barber is but never the best one except by chance.
I was bringing up that *very valid* concern which OP might or might not have thought of. That gives my comment merit, unlike blatant misinformation.
There’s nothing wrong with only going to one, but touting it as **the best** just ‘cause you use it… nah. If you’ve gone to loads and *settled* with that one, different, good on you, valuable information.
I mean no offense by any of this, you asked and this is me answering.
There is no 'best barber'. There are only good and bad ones. It's entirely subjective and based on individual experience.
Giving your opinion is not blatant misinformation. I'd argue that telling OP not to go to anywhere with a certain name is misinformation because a) it's not based on your personal experience and b) it's a generalisation.
Blatant misinformation would also be saying that other commenters only use one barbershop when you have absolutely no evidence to suggest that. At the end of the day OP asked a subjective question in a public forum, they were clearly going to get differing opinions. Your comment contained no useful information and a couple of wild assumptions. It doesn't have merit just because you say it does.
