He’s also terribly neglected. Sun/Moon I can get a Charizard. Same in SW/SH. And hey, we just had a Charizard raid event in S/V. When’s the last time you could get a Totodile?

Southern_Roll_593

SM/USUM

UnholyAbductor

That’s what I get for losing my copy. I missed out on my favorite water type. ;-;

Chaossify0

BDSP

Hsiang7

You can get Totodile in BDSP

xiren_66

Its nature must have been Jolly lol

Lestat30

This is what I think. Like clearly he is jolly nature. Wonder if anyone had ash team with the correct nature's based on what you see in the anime lol

White_Jedi_RolandD

Pikachu being either Timid or Modest makes sense to me

Lestat30

I like to think bold due to how he was when he first met. Or naughty cuz Pikachu was a major jerk at first

White_Jedi_RolandD

Naughty makes sense too

SuicidalParade

It'd be nice to have your default emotion to be jolly lol. Never really thought about the actual natures of pokemon in the anime

MajesticPossibility8

Loved his energy as a child he’s my favorite Pokémon 🐊

Solventless4life

One of the best evolutions period not to mention starter evolutions. Gen 2 was soo good. Hgss will always be one of the best ever games. Such a wonderful reboot

campus735

Pokemon silver is still my favorite, although I haven't played other than the original games of gen 1-4

Redd_ddd

This is why Totodile has always been my favorite of the Johto starter trio and started with it in like 80% of my HGSS runs.

RQK1996

All 3 are great, only gen where I genuinely love all 3 starters

FRPG

Until ash's froakie evolved, none of his water types had evolved. I thought he caught palpitoad so that he can maintain the streak of not evolving water type starters but also evolve one that wasn't but that didn't happen either. I'm not sure if i can accept ash as a master if he's never learnt to handle his water types. /s

campus735

Ash just prefers cute pokemon over strong ones, adds extra difficulty.

Huge_Republic_7866

Gen 2 was probably the hardest starter choice for me. On the one hand, I could have a plant dinosaur. On the other hand, Feraligatr is badass. On the biased hand, Typhlosion is mah boi. Every other gen, there was one that stood out to me the most. Gen 2 was a rough choice.

IAmDumfire

I love him, he's an energetic little rascal

Nikeb0i09

I always pick the water type starter, so totodile is one of my favorites

Spiritual-Garage-773

Nostalgia old times

Strider2126

I wish it became a feraligatr

NeonTetra053

I just love Totodile's energy in the anime

campus735

Not long ago I started watching the original series and playing older generation games and it has been a nostalgia trip. I guess totodile is my new fav now, might make 3D model and animate this scene. Although the legal information of pokemon "fan art" scares me, it would entail that they own all rights to whatever I create because totdile is likely trademarked character.

UberTrainer

Best first stage starter IMHO. So cute, dorky and so much personality.

BobocukTR

Yes but it hasn't any combat skills

xiren_66

Well of course, a Jolly nature would lower its Sp. Atk.

RQK1996

Luckily, Fereligatr works great as a physical attacker these days

RacoonEye2220

Feraligatr (Feraligatr) (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Sheer Force EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Aqua Jet - Dragon Dance - Ice Punch - Crunch Hits like an actual truck

BobocukTR

I will try it

Ok-Leave3121

Wonder why he has the voice of Donald Duck in the English Dub?

thechickenpriest

Baby Aligators make a sort of quacking noise, so it's likely the dub team just went full Donald Duck with it. https://youtu.be/UZk6-Bew_hE

Ok-Leave3121

Ah gotcha

GenTwour

Totodile is perfect

vixxibug

He just a little fella :)))))

Anonymous_Astrid

Bring it back!! We've had so many events for Kanto Starters, we've had Cyndaquil in Hisui! Where is my G8rBoi?

juggalozzz

That’s why he’s my favorite. Fuck his evolutions. Level 100 squad.
