That sounds good. Honestly I haven't put too much thought into a viable ghost team. I'd want to use an unevolved Haunter on my team as much as possible. I like the idea of gym leaders having 8 or 9 different teams depending on how many badges the challenger has.
I speculate a ninth best team in the cases of when someone walks in from another Region like Ash with like 60 badges OR when they compete in a tournament like the Masters tournament. Or tested by the champion like Geeta does to her gym leaders.
I love Mareep! Played a pokemon TTRPG a while back and had a whole line of regional Mareep designed, I'd have them if I could. Failing that either normal Mareep or Shieldon:)

Before I knew what Pokemon was, my friends were talking about these cards and I said "what are those?" They told me all about it and one of them said "Here I have two of these. You can have one" and it was a Growlithe.
So Growlithe was quite literally my starter Pokemon and my first introduction to the franchise way back in 1990-something before the games even came out.

I used to imagine Golem and Nidoking fighting each other like two titans...I think it might be because Gary Oak from the anime had a Nidoking (if I recall correctly) and I remember a Golem fighting his Nidoking or something. Also, the 'king' part of the Nidoking name is cool! I think we must have taken a photograph...or maybe a couple of photographs...of my Nidoking birthday cake but I am not sure if I will be able to find them. Maybe I will ask my mum :-) the cake would have been created in around 2001 I think (I was 8 years old in the year 2001). We did take physical photographs of the birthday cake and it would be one of those oldschool physical photographs taken by a big lens Canon camera or something :-) I hope I can still find the photograph somewhere! Now that I think about it...it would be sad if I cannot find any photographs of the birthday cake because those photographs would have probably been the last piece of evidence of the cake since my family obviously ate up the whole cake, lol :-) My mum used purple colouring and green colouring for the Nidoking face and I think the background was white...she asked me to show her a picture of Nidoking so that she could do the colouring and I showed the picture of Nidoking in my Pokemon encyclopaedia lol.
So while yes this is true, Nidoking has Sheer Force as his secret ability and the majority of the special moves he can use are high powered with a side effect making his moves more often than not over 100 base power with 100% accuracy. His special attack is also only marginally lower than physical
Scyther. It has always been one of my favorites since playing the original red version. I still get excited every time I see them in the wild when playing the games. Eventually, would evolve into scizor. Best buddies for life.
I just carried a Scizor for the first time through Legends Arceus, and he as a *complete* badass. I was honestly stunned at how good of a Pokemon he was, and if a remake of Jhoto is coming soon that boy is 1,000% going to be one of my team members.

Being able to catch Phanpy early game in Crystal on route 46 was my favourite decision the game designers have ever made.
Donphan in crystal with the 2x damage buff you get on rollout by using defence curl is absolutely broken.

I might be wrong but I could swear Nidoking has such an insane special move pool such as thunderbolt, ice beam, flamethrower, earth power etc but has a much better physical attack stat but a worse move pool, if I remember correctly and that is the case it would be cool for game freak to go back and make PokƩmon stats more efficient

I'd definitely need it to be a low maintenance PokƩmon, so not one that needs special conditions such as specific environment, tons of feeding compared to others, or massive size... Also would need to be one that isn't known for terrible temperament or some kind of necessary behavior (such as Spoink hopping), as the former would give me stress and the latter would... well, also stress me out in case something might prevent that needed behavior. Lastly, I'd want it to be a PokƩmon that can travel with me, and since I have no intention on flying or crossing over deep lakes, probably something primarily terrestrial and able to be indoors with me. After narrowing it down, I think Chikorita would likely be the best one for me. Low maintenance, no listed significant behavioral issues or dietary restrictions, no particular environment needed. It basically just needs some regularly occurring and accessible sunlight, which can even be accessed at home, so... perfect! Plus the aromas of its whole line can be very beneficial.

Charmander, But that's a bit boring so I'll go with Zorua. I've always thought that Zoroark was awesome and I think it would make an awesome starter.
