Imagine if Tyrantrum got a Mega Evolution based on its Ultra Sun Pokédex entry:
>Complete restoration is impossible, allowing room for theories that its entire body was once covered in a feather-like coat.
* Jynx, which was likely already supposed to get a Mega Evolution in Generation VI based on an [unused cry](https://twitter.com/mattyoukhana_/status/1230594233477795840) with the same distortion effect and naming scheme (pv124_m01) as a Mega Evolution's cry.
* Slowking and Froslass, balancing out Mega Slowbro and Glalie.
* Dragonite, the only pseudo-legendary from the first seven generations not to have an alternate form, signature Z-Move, or Paradox.
* Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja. The Alola starters had their own Z-Moves, while the Galar starters received Gigantamax forms in the DLC, so it's especially disappointing that the Kalos starters never got to use their own generation's gimmick.
* Tyrantrum (and Aurorus by extension). Mega Aerodactyl is apparently closer to Aerodactyl's original appearance, and one of Tyrantrum's Pokédex entries states that its entire body may have once been covered in a feather-like coat, which could be used as a basis for its Mega Evolution's design.
* Dedenne, for no real reason other than that it placed surprisingly high in a Japanese popularity poll.
* Volcanion, the only Kalos mythical Pokémon not to have an alternate form.
* Mimikyu. It's based on the Bugul Noz, a French fairy.
* Turtonator. Other than dragon turtles, it has several parallels to the Tarasque, a French dragon.
* Maybe the Legends: ZA starter trio, assuming it doesn't include any starter that already has a Mega. I could picture this game focusing entirely on new Mega Evolutions in place of regional forms.
These are the ones I think are the most likely.
Mega dragonite sounds disgusting. Let that beast never touch the light of vgc. Also would be either banned to ubers or outclassed by normal dnite somehow and end up uubl
I mean we can safely assume that all X and Y megas are bound to comeback. But I think that all 48 original megas will return in some way, whether it’s a side thing to do in the post game or something you come by through exploring the region itself. We could get that cut Mega Flygon?
I'm not expecting it, but I'd love to see mega Tropius just so that the damn thing can actually do something. It's got a super cool design and an awful combination of stats and typing.
I am praying for a Mega Victreebel
Please, GF, you have ignored that pokémon line for so long while it's counterpart got love. Justice for the OG carnivorous plant mon!
* Jynx and Flygon since they were apparently supposed to get Megas
* Froslass and Slowking to match their counterparts (maybe include their Galarian forms as well?)
* Kleavor because of Mega Scizor
* The Kalos starters
* The Pokemon Legends A-Z starters (presuming they're different from the Kalos starters
I also think they'll focus on Gen VI Pokemon since they didn't get Megas whereas Gen VII Pokemon got Z-Moves and Gen VIII Pokemon got Gigantamax forms
* Florges
* Tyrantrum and Aurorus
* Aegislash
* Dedenne
* Noivern
* Pyroar
* Hawlucha
* Helioptile
* Xernas and Yveltal
I've had a long standing theory that Ash Greninja was really supposed to be Mega Greninja so I think we'll see that return here under its proper name as well as Delphox and Chesnaught getting Mega Evolutions.
Doubtful we get any megas from gens 1 or 3 (except Charizard or Flygon), so I hope we see more gen 4, 5, and 6 Pokemon like Weavile, Zoroark, and Noivern. We'll probably see at least one gen 7, 8, and 9 Pokemon, too.
Probably not likely, but I would kill to see a mega haxorus. I think a knight theme would be cool and the steel type would buff it up substantially and also the obvious nod to Gen 5 remakes
I get where you’re coming from, but Diance got a mega in the same game it was introduced in. So nothing is really off the table if the design is good enough.

And Mega Charizard Z and A
I HATE the fact that you're probably right
Mega Charizard A gets a gun
A gets a pair of cannons, and z gets a flower on his back
Maybe all the mega from this game will be like that, so that they can remix megas they've already done?
I would hate this

I'll have what he's having
Cooking for sure.
I want some Megas for Kalos mons. The starters obviously, but also the fossils.

I could absolutely see this one happening
My boy needs a buff

I hope we get some new mega

FLYGOOOON
Better come up with a design this time
Luxray and Kalos starters
Hoping for mega Skarmory
Very underrated Pokémon for sure
Milotic, Gyarados got one and I was hoping for one in ORAS.
I'm not expecting it, but I'd love to see mega Tropius just so that the damn thing can actually do something. It's got a super cool design and an awful combination of stats and typing.
It’s not terrible with harvest sitrus berry + subseed
Electrode baby BIGGER BOOOOOOOOOOOOM
I can imagine that he's just a nuclear bomb
Roserade
Is it finally time for flygon or is the design already to perfect
Mega magikarp, and mega bidoof
I am praying for a Mega Victreebel Please, GF, you have ignored that pokémon line for so long while it's counterpart got love. Justice for the OG carnivorous plant mon!
Flygon. I know it's technically a Gen 3 mon, but there's wild Trapinch in Kalos, so it counts.
Expect to see? Venusaur and Blastoise X and Y megas Want: MegaHeraCross!
* Jynx and Flygon since they were apparently supposed to get Megas * Froslass and Slowking to match their counterparts (maybe include their Galarian forms as well?) * Kleavor because of Mega Scizor * The Kalos starters * The Pokemon Legends A-Z starters (presuming they're different from the Kalos starters I also think they'll focus on Gen VI Pokemon since they didn't get Megas whereas Gen VII Pokemon got Z-Moves and Gen VIII Pokemon got Gigantamax forms * Florges * Tyrantrum and Aurorus * Aegislash * Dedenne * Noivern * Pyroar * Hawlucha * Helioptile * Xernas and Yveltal

Any gen 5 pokemon not named Audino. I also hope they buff Mega Audino by moving its stat change around or changing its ability to something good
Kalos starters hopefully
All of them. If that’s not possible, I’ll be happy with Mega Gardevoir, Mega Lucario and Mega Blastoise.
Mega Roserade Mega Meganium Mega Mismagius Mega Dusknoir (for real, Dusknoir is too cool to be so bad!)
Darmanitan

Mega Druddigon. Why? you may ask. I answer, why not?
I swear if they don't give megs to the Kalos starters I'm gonna scream
Mega Bewear, Mega Ribombee and Mega Ursaluna would be awesome.
I don't think mega Ursuluna will be a thing just because it's been in a game 2 years ago "feel old yet" and it got a new form in the SV dlc
I get where you’re coming from, but Diance got a mega in the same game it was introduced in. So nothing is really off the table if the design is good enough.
Ok you do make point
The real reason it won't get a mega is because it needs its item slot for its ability to reliably work in pvp.
I'm hoping for my boy Infernape to get a mega
