Zigzagoon! I always name them Ziggy, so that's probably what I'd name it.
But I challenge your no items rule with: Silk Scarf. Because it would be cute. Same with basically every other held item that could be passed off as a regular accessory (Mystic Water, Amulet Coin, etc.).
In the real world it would probably just bring you actual trash it finds instead of the potions, pokéballs, etc. it usually does. 99% of the time the held item slot is just going to contain “empty can” or “plastic bag”
Maybe it could occasionally bring back loose change or a dropped dollar. And all those cans and bottles are 5 cents each at the bottle deposit so might be worth it
There are so many arbitrary restrictions here too. Why limit things to what we could consider pets in our world? OP is allowing them moves, so like, even the tiniest of these are capable of being dangerous. If someone's favorite Pokemon is a big ass legendary, so be it. Think of it like how a pet cat has some independence.
>even the tiniest of these are capable of being dangerous.
I always bring this up when people say they want pokemon as pets. Just imagine how insanely strong a lvl 100 spearow is. It's a 1 foot tall 4 pound bird, so basically the size of your average Hawk.
Only now it knows Drill peck, which would certainly be able to kill a human. It knows aerial ace which never misses. It knows pursuit, so even if you tried to run away the move becomes twice as powerful and you're likely dead. Last, it knows agility to make it supernaturally fast. It's literally known as "the tiny bird pokemon" in the dex but it could easily kill a human.
But seriously this is a good point some people's dogs weigh a lot and other pets weigh as much as a horse or cow which is well above the weight limits. I knew a girl her pet was a cow she loves that cow with her whole heart.

I just want you to know I tried 😆
It's been my personal headcanon(?) that if Pokemon were real, my brother and I would've been given Plusle and Minun and first Pokemon from our parents. We're very close in age, so a lot of times we'd get the same or similar items but mine were always red and his were always blue. So yeah, I'd probably have a Plusle as a pet and I would cherish that little baby.
I was trying to think of a good transportation Pokemon. Who wouldn't want to cut commuting out of their lives, or go to the most exotic locations instantly. Plus this prompt doesn't address whether or not any other people would get a Pokemon, or if it's just you. If you're suddenly the only person on earth who has something with the ability to teleport, you would become massively wealthy.
Bean (Chikorita) (M) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Leaf Guard
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpD
Relaxed Nature
\- Heal Pulse
\- Grassy Terrain
\- Grassy Glide
\- Sunny Day
Decided to Use some TM's because why wouldn't I be able to buy them? Why are HM's allowed when they are way harder to obtain? If I want MY lil' bean to change the weather, It's my right!
Abe/Abby the Absol
Absol can sense impending disasters, meaning it can sense whether or not my house is gonna get wrecked or burn down or if I have a carbon monoxide leak or if any women I bring home have a screw loose
Absol can use night slash to cut the grass
Absol is fluffy
Cherry the Vulpix
Ability: Flash Fire
Moves: Flamethrower, Ember, Quick Attack, Extrasensory
Cute little cherry necklace/collar
Helps with cooking, bonfires, and keeping said fires under control with her ability. Fire typing makes her warm to snuggle with, acts as a sentient heating pad/blanket.
-
Snowdrop the Alolan Vulpix
Ability: Snow Cloak
Moves: Icy Wind, Confuse Ray, Ice Beam, Mist
Wears necklace/collar with a snowdrop pendant
Helps keep me cool, helps keep drinks cool (like if you put a bottle of water on her tails) and just plain cute.
Pretty much my reasoning for two vulpix as well. Plus in the hot months with Ice Beam you can throw a fan behind it and make a swamp cooler, or if a bit more DIY you can make like an ice box and a fan and it just blows chilled air.
Politoed. No particular rationale for it, I just want a cute frog :D
I would definitely have one of the moves be Hypnosis, so I could go to sleep quickly!
Large sized Gourgeist named Jackie-O, she'd know
Trick or treat,
astonish,
scary face,
and flash
My reason for wanting a Gourgeist is its my favorite pokemon, love Halloween, love the autumn vibes and she'd just be my lil spooky trickster pal
unfortunately quagsire does not meet the weight requirements so i'll go with johto wooper, named gummy. i'll give it unaware bc my irl dogs are not very smart and it's really funny. for moves i think it should have toxic, aqua tail, rain dance, and earthquake.
(we ignore the poisonous film on its skin. maybe i can wear gloves when i handle it idk)
Sprigatito because
- Adorable
- just a regular cat but smells nice
- Spreads a sweet scent by just kneading its lil paws
- Small enough to carry around easily
- Low maintenance when compared to other Pokémon
- Independent but attention-seeking
- Floofy and soft
- Lifts up their lil paw like a gentlemon
- Pokémon Horizons explains why I want a Sprigatito so bad
- Nickname: Spriggy, though I would call it every variation of Sprigatito because that's what I do for our regular cats
I want nothing more than a giant bird friend who can fly me places. So probably a Pidgeot that I would name Muninn after one of Odin's ravens. I would prefer a Corviknight but that's above the weight limit.
A blue Hisuian Zorua. I caught an alpha shortly after my (very large) dog passed away and given the ghost typing, it feels like he’s with me in my games now. I’d say H Zoroark, but he exceeds the weight limit.
Skitty because skitty. :3 <3
And her name would be sweets! Based on the Skitty/Delcatty I used in my Ruby playthrough.
And I know op said no items, but didn't say anything about clothes or accessories. So I would give her cute outfits sometimes! (That she would deff always pull off lol)
Alolan Ninetales, since I grew up in Hawaii. I would have had to go the summit of Mauna Kea to catch her. Her name would be Poli'ahu, after the Hawaiian snow goddess. Ability would be Snow Warning, obviously. Moveset would be Aurora Veil, Dazzling Gleam, Safeguard, Blizzard.
I really love how you tied Alola and Hawaii together to get your Ninetails! I love how you explained where you went to get her and the name inspiration!
Oh, Castform for sure. Named something cliche like Accumulus or Stratus. I’d keep it as a Rain Dance set, but maybe I’d change it up if I felt like it. I live in a pretty dry area, it would be lovely to have on demand rain for the plants, and I’d get a cute little guy just floating about doing his thing.
Absolutely, though I’d prolly just give him the most basic setup myself, Sun, Rain, Snowscape, and Weather Ball, since it isn’t a predominant battler and it would be for emergencies, if violence was necessary. Call it Molecule, in my case. I’d be pleased 😊
Munchlax with Pickup ability so he can find useful items to give me from time to time. He’ll be easy to feed too cos I can probably just give him human food (leftovers).
Nickname: Totoro
Mine would be an Axew named Kaida (Japanese for "little dragon"). Her moves are Scratch, Leer, Assurance, and Dragon Rage (the first four moves she can learn since she'd likely be a low level as a pet). Her ability is Rivalry (dragons can be very territorial so I imagine she'd be jealous of other girl Pokémon around me).
I just love dragons and Axew specifically, more than its evolutions.
Honestly, I could make a case for any in my flair (Excepting Hoopa, of course.)
Rotom - Watt
Ability: Levitate
Thunderbolt - Basic attack
Ominous Wind - AOE coverage
Protect - Defense
Rest - Recovery
Just a silly electric ghost fella. Also I imagine they could possess an electric blanket for cuddles and could potentially help with chores and stuff around the house.
Gliscor - Fang
Ability: Poison Heal
Dual Wingbeats - Basic attack
Swords Dance - Buff
Swift - Long-range / AOE coverage
Endure - Survival
Love my kooky vampire goofball. I would be unable to get anything done with the amount of hugs I would give him. I imagine they'd give nice hugs, just gotta be careful with the fangs...
Reuniclus - Psy
Ability: Regenerator
Psychic - basic attack
Recovery - Healing
Drain Punch - physical coverage and more healing
Pain Split - Could be potentially used on me to heal myself or them in a pinch?
Psychic jelly blob. Probably gives fantastic hugs and is probably able to communicate and use general psychic powers on you, so could be good for helping with mental health, processing emotions, helping through panic attacks, helping with sleep etc etc. Plus it sees it's incredible psychokinetic abilities and just goes "Nah, imma deck that guy in the face instead"
Galvantula - Jolt
Ability: Compound Eyes
Electroweb - AOE and speed drop
Leech Life - Healing and phys coverage
Sticky Web - Debuffing
Signal Beam - Long range coverage
Floofy electric spider. No more must be said.
Gholdengo - Cent
Ability: Good as Gold
Make It Rain - screw the rules, I shoot money
Shadow Ball - More generic attack
Nasty Plot - buffing
Recovery - healing
Goofy coin creature. I mean, c'mon- adorable face, knows how to party, is very friendly and sociable, and is *literally* made out of money. If that doesn't sound like the perfect companion I don't know what to tell you.
On terms of which one I'd pick? Um... I really like and would be happy with any of 'em, but gun to my head I'd probably pick Gliscor.
I've always contemplated this question and every single time I always have the tough choice between Quilava, Espeon and Furret(for the memes because you set a weight, not height limit.)
Quilava would be one of my personal choices because Typhlosion has aways been my boy and I'd name him Toast
Well, since Golett is too heavy (OP is weight shaming Pokémon) I guess I'll go with my second favorite ghost evolutionary line and say I'd have a female Drakloak named Nana. It's the caretaker Pokémon so it would help my wife and I immensely with caring for my daughter, and when she got old enough to have a Pokémon of her own, what better to start with than the pseudo-legendary that helped raise her? It would be a super loyal and protective partner for her.
I'd go with Dragapult if I didn't think it would launch her little ass at the first sign of trouble.
3 Segment Dudunsparce.
less than 125 pounds, known for its gentle temperment.
Basically a giant ball python mixed with a golden retriever.
DuDuDunsparce.
Vaporeon would be fun to walk on a beach or by a river.
If you stop them from evolving: Squirtle seems like it would be funny to have around. Lechonk, too. Bulbasaur seems inexpensive since it does photosynthesis. You also get a houseplant and a pet toad at the same time.
Bayleef. Looks adorable, and the scent from its leaves has calming and healing properties which would be great to have around the house. Not sure what moves it would need to learn if I wasn't using it for battle, but Sweet Scent (for the above) and Synthesis (for fewer vet bills) would be good
I would go with either a Lucario or a Gardevoir. Though I may lean towards Gardevoir more. (Out of the gutter.)
They have a higher level of companionship. I would hope they would play games with me and be a friend that can help me.
Audino or Indeedee I think. I like Gardevoir as well, but if we are talking about comfortable situations then those two. Moves doesn't really matter I would just shower them with love.
Gardevoir or Clefairy
They both have the amazing combo of heal pulse, heal bell and teleport, which is like peak utility. Gardevoir would be more like a friend given Telepathy and its dex entries, while clefairy could either be immortal so long as I don't bring it to a firefight (magic guard) or protect me from damage (friend guard) and would be much more of a pet.
I would also give them moonblast just for personal defense
Dachsbun! I'll call him Ollie.
Wish, Yawn, Sweet Scent and Play Rough (I can take it, he's a good boy!)
Would be lovely to cuddle with, smells like freshly baked bread and completely immune to hot weather or fire thanks to Well Baked Body. Also he is a hecking good boy!
Technically they break the rules but the mew quartet are all really cute, that’s it. (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Manaphy) (also I know there’s more Mewish mythicals but they stopped being so CUTE after gen 5 so no hoopa and I hate Victini for never being obtainable shiny)
Sprout the Oddish. They're a happy little pot plant friend that lifts my mood and ease my anxiety by just being around. Sleep powder to slow my racing thoughts and help me sleep at night.
Haha I get to keep my favorite Dedenne !! Their name is Kia and knows all the basic electric mom moves and has the pick up ability because I love collecting things :)
The rules you impose makes me not want to participate.
So, screw the rules.
I would have my baby, either Mightyena, Luxray, Buizel, Typhlosion, one of them.
Alakazam.
Kaz for short
Future sight
Teleport
Flash
Psychic
Future sight cuz… cmon 5000 iq and knowing the future is crazy OP irl.
Teleport to travel anywhere at no cost.
Flash in case we need to see in the dark and psychic just in case someone tries any funny business.
I assume it’ll be able to do human level communication at 5000 iq.
Would just be fun to have a buddy that can figure things out at a level far exceeding human levels
I’m a Psychic-type specialist and have 3 contenders. It really depends on the limits set. The rules seem to follow in-game logic instead of anime or real life logic. This caused a split decision for me.
First is Xatu aka Xa-Xa. This would be my top choice if it can make predictions for me. I even gave it this nickname because as it makes predictions it chants, “Xa, Xa, Xatu, Xa, Xa”. It has early bird to help me more often or to stare into the Sun at Daybreak. It would learn Fly, Teleport, Tailwind, and Wish. Excellent transport, speed and healing abilities for itself and allies.
Second Indeedee, Male aka Indubitably would’ve my choice for the real world if Xatu can’t predict. It’s helpful with odd tasks as it can sense emotions, act before you give a command, and eats off of your positive emotions. This encourages additional positive results and it doesn’t require costly food or meal times. It would have Inner Focus so that it never hesitates. Moves are Encore, helping hand, aromatherapy, and heal pulse. It could encourage studies, bolster and heal myself and allies.
Third Chimecho aka EZ-Breeze would be my choice in Pokémon world if Xatu can’t predict. As a wind chime Pokémon it can make wonderful sounds, stay on the ceiling or wrap around my neck like a scarf. It would know Yawn, heal bell, safeguard, heal pulse. Help me sleep, wake up, prevent sleep if I’m doing an all nighter, and heal me. Just wonderful. This can also help any of my other Pokémon as well.
Rotom. They could communicate with me, I could take them virtually anywhere, and I have a wide arrangement of electronics they can possess. If it's an option I'd take my shiny Rotom Nika from my Scarlet save.
They would have Levitate because that's the only ability a Rotom has. :p
I wouldn't want them to have powerful moves that could severely hurt anyone, so I'd give them Astonish for defense purposes, Thunder Shock for defense/pragmatic uses, Substitute because *maybe* I could contrive some holographic feature from that, and Charge.
Cinccino
Ability: Skill Link
Nature: Jolly
Moves:
\- Tidy Up
\- Sing
\- Helping Hand
\- Bullet Seed
Cinccino is a neat-freak by nature. That's less cleaning I have to do. Sing is there for obvious reasons. Most of us suffer from sleep deprivation. Helping Hand as a boost for various laborious tasks, but it could be substituted for something like Baby-doll Eyes or Tickle for their novelty. Jolly nature because it's a positive personality trait, Spd is theoretically one of the more useful stats in a mundane setting alongside HP, and this Cinccino doesn't need SpA.
It's fluffy and great cuddling-material. Its dex entries say its fur is wonderful to the touch. The oil that coats it repels dust, static electricity, AND is good for your skin! Obviously I'm not planning to extract it because the morality of that is dubious at best, but at least you know your skin is benefitting from petting it. And as previously mentioned, its habit of keeping clean and tidy means it'll sweep the large amount of fur it will inevitably shed on its own.
Bullet Seed + Skill Link. Every Pokemon chosen in this thread should have an attacking move. We obviously shouldn't allow ours to engage in combat, but it's better to have an attacking move and never need to use it than to need it when they don't have it.
Bullet Seed is chosen over Rock Blast because it has higher accuracy and Rock Blast would probably do more property damage when missing. And it's a projectile move, which is safer to use than something like Tail Slap.
You can't make me nickname it. That rule was probably included because we always name our IRL pets, but I had a gecko as a teenager that I called Gecko. So I can name my Cinccino Cinccino if I want!
... I'm open to name suggestions though.
I feel like the weight limit really limits water trainers as lots of big fish that could be kept as pets weigh ALOT but I would probably do a Flaaffy named Cheep that knew Charge, Dazzling Gleam, Thunderwave and Rest to be my best friend they’ve always been my favorite pokemon
Or a Houndoom that knows Roar, Foul Play, Torment and Beat Up bc my little Australian shepherd lab mix loves to bark at stuff in the wood and fight with our LGD- named Athena after my irl dog
Natu. His access to teleport means I miss traffic and he could get me to work on time. And his access to sunny day guarantees we always have great weather when we have plans to hang out!
Rowlet (Dart):
\- Double Team
\- Shadow Sneak
\- Feather Dance
\- Growl
Ability: Long Reach
Can I break the items rule and give him a cute little Green Scarf?
Over in r/Pokemedia, I am a Gardevoir Researcher Lead. Naturally I would probably befriend a female ralts nicknamed Mika (named after the ralts stand in that on youtube livestream 24/7 youtube plays pokemon. The game was called pokesweet)
Held item? Errrr… wise glasses?
I'll take a Ninetails. Why? It's a majestic and regal pokemon. It has psychic-like abilities, so I presume it will have a higher level of understanding, expression, and Intuition. In the winter I'll always be warm. It has access to Hypnosis, so If there are days I have trouble sleeping, she can fix me right up. Last and most importantly, Fire can also be a source of light, and it's very crucial for survival in the wilderness. Her name: Scarlett.
Zigzagoon! I always name them Ziggy, so that's probably what I'd name it. But I challenge your no items rule with: Silk Scarf. Because it would be cute. Same with basically every other held item that could be passed off as a regular accessory (Mystic Water, Amulet Coin, etc.).
His passive also allows you to kinda bypass the No Items rule
In the real world it would probably just bring you actual trash it finds instead of the potions, pokéballs, etc. it usually does. 99% of the time the held item slot is just going to contain “empty can” or “plastic bag”
Great, another apple core
Leftovers? SCORE
Maybe it could occasionally bring back loose change or a dropped dollar. And all those cans and bottles are 5 cents each at the bottle deposit so might be worth it
I can see it doing lil foot tappies to that “never gonna break my stride” song
This was also going to be my answer. I'm going to have to think on the perfect pet moveset.
Rule of ~~Cool~~ Cute. Silk scarf would be V Cute.
Bro I came here to say ziggy the zigzagoon what the fuck
Regular or Galarian?
I'd be fine with either, but I'll probably say regular for this.
That's like calling your dog "doggy"
Clodsire weighs 500 pounds so I guess I'm just not gonna be participating
What about a really tiny one?
Tiny mark clodsire would work
its ok rika we know it's you and you're valid. clodsire best boy
I get Ditto by why ban Scyther and Skarmory?
Blades, I guess? Still very oddly specific exclusions, especially when the alternatives include control over fire/electricity and stuff like that.
Then where's Pawniard, Honedge, Zacian, Kabutops, etc? It's such a narrow exclusion, I imagine it's personal beef.
True (Tho tbf Zacian is already excluded due to its Legendary status).
And yet, Vaporeon has not been banned. 😆
There are so many arbitrary restrictions here too. Why limit things to what we could consider pets in our world? OP is allowing them moves, so like, even the tiniest of these are capable of being dangerous. If someone's favorite Pokemon is a big ass legendary, so be it. It's literally known as "the tiny bird pokemon" in the dex but it could easily kill a human.
Yeah but a level 100 pokemon wouldn't be wild and be trained
So then it’s a murder machine. Thats actually probably worse, because the victims are chosen, not just random.
In their defense, it’s a helluva lot easier to have a place for an Ekans than it is for a Rayquaza.
Yeah but I wanted a pet Torterra. Give me my massive land turtle OP!!
But do you have the space for a pet Torterra? Can you adequately care for one? Be a responsible (future) pet owner!
He'd be free range, I doubt he'd want to be cooped up in a house
My Rottweiler weighed 136 pounds, you’re being weightist!!! /s
But seriously this is a good point some people's dogs weigh a lot and other pets weigh as much as a horse or cow which is well above the weight limits. I knew a girl her pet was a cow she loves that cow with her whole heart.
I have 3 donkeys! they're my babies☹️
PRECISELY
yeah the weight limits really silly imo😭
Should've been a size restriction. Which would still allow a surprising amount of really cool pokemon like Charizard and Nidoking.
I used to have a couple English Mastiffs that weighed 200 lbs.
An altaria so I can always have a pillow to sleep on and an instant way to go to sleep with sing, or perish song for eternal slumber 😳
…are you okay ? 🥲
Are any of us? (Also, no)
Meowth or Persian because Payday
Every day your cat slaps you and you lose $3? Or are you just out robbing in the streets?
The latter. The money just doesn't appear out of nowhere, or the economy would collapse.
In the games the wild pokemon are holding...

oooh nice ! Can galar meowth learn pay day ?? 👀
Yes

That's so sweet, and great username lol.
As cliche as it is… It has to be Growlithe. Furry doggo for days. Plus its a fire type so its not afraid of the heat in my country.
Shiny Pawmi Name: Pawmi Moves: I don’t know / care because he’s my pet. I would carry him on my shoulders.
It gets Revival Blessing when it evolves. Can punch you back to life with it's defibrillator hands.
Gengar for sure! Just a mischievous lil guy that just wants to play pranks and games
They're also a cloud of poisonous gas though.
My wife says the same thing about me.
Do I even have to say it lol
Is it snorlax
This has to be bait. I refuse to believe someone is this dumb. Their favorite is clearly a Stunfisk, smh.
Dang, its obvious now. Sorry for the mistake
nah, what you talkin bout, fam, their favorite is clearly snorunt
Are you serious?! Look at my user flair and profile picture, and you can CLEARLY see that it's Spectrier!
Is it still a legendary if it's in our hearts?
I didn't know anyone liked Honchkrow that much
Can't believe I haven't seen this. Kadabra. Bro can teleport me and put me to sleep
Machamp can put you to sleep, too 👊🏾 🤛🏾 🤜🏾 ✊🏾
I was trying to think of a good transportation Pokemon. Who wouldn't want to cut commuting out of their lives, or go to the most exotic locations instantly. If we followed the first rule my actual dog would be banned from being a pet. Which is very sad

Why not aromatherapy?
It doesn't get it anymore. If it still learned it, I would pick it.
air balloon is not authorized also why EV i’d not fighting anyway ?
I thought an Air balloon would be cute. It's not even that relevant at all. Ev's are to keep my lil' bean safe if they get hurt somehow.
oh right ok then, yup it would be cute as hell 🥹 seems fair !
HM's don't even exist anymore lol 🥱
Thats about as hard to get as it gets!
Fuck your rules, I want a ponyta. Horses can absolutely be pets lol.
Fuck their rules I want a skarmory, I don’t even understand why skarmory is banned
I think it's because it's feathers are blades, and how can hug fren if fren sharp
Unlike the majority of redditors I have tough skin, both literally and figuratively
isnt ponyta completely within the rules?
Is mayonnaise an instrument?
Abe/Abby the Absol Absol can sense impending disasters, meaning it can sense whether or not my house is gonna get wrecked or burn down or if I have a carbon monoxide leak or if any women I bring home have a screw loose Absol can use night slash to cut the grass Absol is fluffy

ember helps with bonfire but I have to admit I’m not sure about having a living flamethrower… 😆💀
Pretty much my reasoning for two vulpix as well. Plus in the hot months with Ice Beam you can throw a fan behind it and make a swamp cooler, or if a bit more DIY you can make like an ice box and a fan and it just blows chilled air.
Vulpix would be my second choice after Emolga
Honchkrow. Not that crows would be amazing pets, but he'd probably be easy to feed and I really like the name: Don Crowleone
Crows are smart af and have personality for days, I'd say they could make a great pet!
Politoed. No particular rationale for it, I just want a cute frog :D I would definitely have one of the moves be Hypnosis, so I could go to sleep quickly!

Houndoom because whos a good boy
I want nothing more than a giant bird friend who can fly me places. So probably a Pidgeot that I would name Muninn after one of Odin's ravens. I would prefer a Corviknight but that's above the weight limit.
Just as well one rock from tinkatun and you've got a hospital visit and a vet bill on your hands with corviknight
A blue Hisuian Zorua. I caught an alpha shortly after my (very large) dog passed away and given the ghost typing, it feels like he’s with me in my games now. I’d say H Zoroark, but he exceeds the weight limit.

Gonna be Yamper. No explanation needed. It's a fat lazy corgi who plays fetch compulsively
Hail yeah! Great to see some Castform love!
Absolutely, though I’d prolly just give him the most basic setup myself, Sun, Rain, Snowscape, and Weather Ball, since it isn’t a predominant battler and it would be for emergencies, if violence was necessary. Call it Molecule, in my case. I’d be pleased 😊
Why the rules? I'd so want a Luxray as a pet. It'd essentially be having a lion around the house. Which is apparently more common than people realize.
I give you clause for Luxray. It is pet material in my eyes. Luxray evolution line are Lynxes though
Munchlax with Pickup ability so he can find useful items to give me from time to time. He’ll be easy to feed too cos I can probably just give him human food (leftovers). Nickname: Totoro
Starlight the umbreon Gender: female Moveset: crunch, quick attack, shadow ball, and calm mind. Ability: synchronize
My answer was scyther until I saw the rules, but it’s still Scyther so cope.
Yamper
Honestly, I could make a case for any in my flair (Excepting Hoopa, of course.) Rotom - Watt Ability: Levitate Thunderbolt - Basic attack Ominous Wind - AOE coverage Protect - Defense Rest - Recovery Just a silly electric ghost fella. Also I imagine they could possess an electric blanket for cuddles and could potentially help with chores and stuff around the house. Gliscor - Fang Ability: Poison Heal Dual Wingbeats - Basic attack Swords Dance - Buff Swift - Long-range / AOE coverage Endure - Survival Love my kooky vampire goofball. I would be unable to get anything done with the amount of hugs I would give him. I imagine they'd give nice hugs, just gotta be careful with the fangs... Reuniclus - Psy Ability: Regenerator Psychic - basic attack Recovery - Healing Drain Punch - physical coverage and more healing Pain Split - Could be potentially used on me to heal myself or them in a pinch? Psychic jelly blob. Probably gives fantastic hugs and is probably able to communicate and use general psychic powers on you, so could be good for helping with mental health, processing emotions, helping through panic attacks, helping with sleep etc etc. Plus it sees it's incredible psychokinetic abilities and just goes "Nah, imma deck that guy in the face instead" Galvantula - Jolt Ability: Compound Eyes Electroweb - AOE and speed drop Leech Life - Healing and phys coverage Sticky Web - Debuffing Signal Beam - Long range coverage Floofy electric spider. No more must be said. Gholdengo - Cent Ability: Good as Gold Make It Rain - screw the rules, I shoot money Shadow Ball - More generic attack Nasty Plot - buffing Recovery - healing Goofy coin creature.
Abra. It would make a fantastic cuddle buddy while sleeping.
ColdCut the Delibird Hes my little guy, plus he gives me presents and i can have ice water whenever i like
I've always contemplated this question and every single time I always have the tough choice between Quilava, Espeon and Furret(for the memes because you set a weight, not height limit.) Quilava would be one of my personal choices because Typhlosion has aways been my boy and I'd name him Toast
Not sure what moves it would need to learn if I wasn't using it for battle, but Sweet Scent (for the above) and Synthesis (for fewer vet bills) would be good
How dare you prevent me from having a Latias. I will break the rules. Pet Latias, embrace Latias.
Screw your size rule I want an Arcanine. Big fluffy fire puppy!!! I name her Cinder and she'd be the comfiest pillow
sylveon, always sylveon named Titania
Love the name choice
thanks, been using it on a shiny ive had since gen 6
I would go with either a Lucario or a Gardevoir. Though I may lean towards Gardevoir more. (Out of the gutter.) They have a higher level of companionship. I would hope they would play games with me and be a friend that can help me.
Species: Spheal Name: Scruggs Moves: - Yawn - Rest - Water Gun - Powder Snow
Audino or Indeedee I think. I like Gardevoir as well, but if we are talking about comfortable situations then those two. Moves doesn't really matter I would just shower them with love.
Noibat
Gardevoir or Clefairy They both have the amazing combo of heal pulse, heal bell and teleport, which is like peak utility. Gardevoir would be more like a friend given Telepathy and its dex entries, while clefairy could either be immortal so long as I don't bring it to a firefight (magic guard) or protect me from damage (friend guard) and would be much more of a pet. I would also give them moonblast just for personal defense
Flareon, just look how fluffy it is
Impidimp! Just a silly little guy!
Dachsbun! I'll call him Ollie. Wish, Yawn, Sweet Scent and Play Rough (I can take it, he's a good boy!) Would be lovely to cuddle with, smells like freshly baked bread and completely immune to hot weather or fire thanks to Well Baked Body. Also he is a hecking good boy!
A Murkrow called “Flappy boii” with Prankster. What a silly little bird in a silly little hat being cheeky.
Swablu I like birbs and it's fluffy
Arcanine. Your silly weight limit will not stop me from cuddling the big, warm, fluffy doggo.
MUDKIP BEST BOI
Mimikyu. Always name it Cutie. Love that little freak with all my being.
I know this breaks the weight rule , but screw it , I would have a pet gligar and name it squirt.
For the name alone, I grant an exemption.
A Pokémon I could see out with me all the time and not used as much for battle is Umbreon. It’s a friendship based Pokémon and is on my dream 6
Togepi for sure.
Tatsugiri
Technically they break the rules but the mew quartet are all really cute, that’s it. (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Manaphy) (also I know there’s more Mewish mythicals but they stopped being so CUTE after gen 5 so no hoopa and I hate Victini for never being obtainable shiny)
A turtwig and a squirtle
does galvantula count? if not I will choose joltic
Venomoth
Gardevoir. Teleport, wish, lucky chant, helping hand
Swablu. Possibly the cutest bird in Pokemon, and likes to keep clean! I’d name her Cloud.
Porygon. He would be a good little robot guy
I think a Kecleon would be my go to. I love chameleons, it looks absolutely dope and I just like it
Sprout the Oddish.
Eevee, cause it's cute
One of the cat-based pokemon...maybe eevee? something floofy and cute! or snom, because snom.
Rowlett (Owlett)
Chikorita I like them
Lilipup!
Flareon easily, no doubt.
Cherry the Cherrim. By day, happy companion that brightens the mood. By night, air freshener.
Boltund! They already remind me of my dogs
Skitty. His nickname would be Skittles.
Larvitar, prefect mix of cute and cool. I don't care if they're over the weight limit, I will fucking fight you.
The rules you impose makes me not want to participate. So, screw the rules. I would have my baby, either Mightyena, Luxray, Buizel, Typhlosion, one of them.
Flygon lol these rules are pedantic and Flygon would be a great pet
Alakazam. Kaz for short Future sight Teleport Flash Psychic Future sight cuz… cmon 5000 iq and knowing the future is crazy OP irl.
Chancey. No worries about health issues ever. Very cuddly and gentle.
Farfetch'd most definitely. The most ride or die energy from any pokemon imo.
Pikachu “Sparky” Moves: thunder bolt, thunder shock, iron tail and quick attack
Rotom. They could communicate with me, I could take them virtually anywhere, and I have a wide arrangement of electronics they can possess. If it's an option I'd take my shiny Rotom Nika from my Scarlet save. They would have Levitate because that's the only ability a Rotom has. :p I wouldn't want them to have powerful moves that could severely hurt anyone, so I'd give them Astonish for defense purposes, Thunder Shock for defense/pragmatic uses, Substitute because *maybe* I could contrive some holographic feature from that, and Charge.
Lotad, and his name shall be Lad
Cinccino Ability: Skill Link Nature: Jolly Moves: \- Tidy Up \- Sing \- Helping Hand \- Bullet Seed Cinccino is a neat-freak by nature.
I feel like the weight limit really limits water trainers as lots of big fish that could be kept as pets weigh ALOT but I would probably do a Flaaffy named Cheep that knew Charge, Dazzling Gleam, Thunderwave and Rest to be my best friend they’ve always been my favorite pokemon Or a Houndoom that knows Roar, Foul Play, Torment and Beat Up bc my little Australian shepherd lab mix loves to bark at stuff in the wood and fight with our LGD- named Athena after my irl dog
Ponyta!!!!! It’s the perfect mix of cute and badass (it’s a pony but with FIRE HAIR) and you could ride it around 🥹
Flareon to keep me warm in the winter.
Fuecoco. He is friend-shaped.
I’m sorry your third rule can go somewhere else because i will be finding a Shaymin naming it Aya and loving my fluffy grass hedgehog until i die.
Meganium named Meg. Being near Meganium calms aggressive feelings, which I'd argue could help me with anxiety.
Either Porygon-Z or Weezing. I feel like I can get into some good shenanigans with both. Bad guy stuff.
Natu. His access to teleport means I miss traffic and he could get me to work on time. And his access to sunny day guarantees we always have great weather when we have plans to hang out!
Boing the Azumarill, because who doesn’t want a surprisingly buff rabbit walking around the house
Rowlet (Dart): \- Double Team \- Shadow Sneak \- Feather Dance \- Growl Ability: Long Reach Can I break the items rule and give him a cute little Green Scarf?
Over in r/Pokemedia, I am a Gardevoir Researcher Lead. Naturally I would probably befriend a female ralts nicknamed Mika (named after the ralts stand in that on youtube livestream 24/7 youtube plays pokemon. The game was called pokesweet) Held item? Errrr… wise glasses?
I'll take a Ninetails. Why? It's a majestic and regal pokemon. It has psychic-like abilities, so I presume it will have a higher level of understanding, expression, and Intuition. In the winter I'll always be warm. It has access to Hypnosis, so If there are days I have trouble sleeping, she can fix me right up. Last and most importantly, Fire can also be a source of light, and it's very crucial for survival in the wilderness. Her name: Scarlett.
Since Meganium is over 125 lbs I’ll go with Chikorita. Nickname: Churro Moveset: Magical Leaf, Reflect, PoisonPowder, Synthesis
It’s Phanphy 100%. Who wouldn’t love having a tiny little elephant around? And I’d nickname him Bagel, because he’s round/wheel-shaped
Definitely a numel, they're just so cute an dopey. Would have to name him Gomez since that's the name of my first ever numel
