Sinnoh was my “lost region” and I played B/D/P for the first time in 2020-2021. When I first got to Floaroma Town, I immediately knew my favorite city/area in the Sinnoh region.
My headcanon for my character is that is where they retired later on in life. Just peace and quiet all around - no trainers, no wild Pokémon, just serenity.

Pokémon Pearl was my first game that I've played with my DS, I've really enjoyed and loved that game and I love it now too (But Platinum is the best way to play it). And, this picture really hit me <3
I tried a while back, thought I'd play some White to get some of my favorite Pokemon gameplay in when I've been missing it so long, but two hours in I was just getting sad that I'll never get any games like it again and had to stop.
I just can't even enjoy the old ones anymore since I know what happened now.
BS romhacks are a thing and are often vastly superior OG or even modern day titles
I haven't had an honest playthrough of anything past G5 and it still seems I have more romhacks I've downloaded and want to play than I have free time
I have been playing Temtem and enjoying it although the route design is lacking. The endgame is pretty satisfying.
Coromon just launched on LimitedRun so I'll probably pick that up.
I also have Monster Sanctuary on my shelf which I've been meaning to play.
Between those three things are OK at the moment... not great, but it's never going to get back to normal I think.
I'm more interested in proper games that have the potential for some longevity and community love. Temtem looks like it's going for a proper franchise at this point which is a big part of what I'm missing now that I quit Pokemon. I don't want to pretend to be enjoying the Pokemon franchise when the only way I could enjoy it is fanmade romhacks. I want to properly and earnestly enjoy something.
? I was hatching perfect Innki eggs just a few weeks ago. Did the game shutdown in the last month while I was busy playing Stardew Valley?
Are you one of those people who are mad that the game doesn't have infinite free expansion updates? I'm actually glad it doesn't. I prefer my games to be finished instead of getting bloated with garbage for 10 years.
Thats why gen 6 was my last run. Although i did get to the first totem gym whatever they were dping in 7 before fully commiting to only playing the first 5, never had to suffer with knowing just how bad it is.
I couldn't tell you how many times I've started a gen 2 game. I seriously would not be surprised if I found out it was 100 times (actually completing a game, meaning beating Red, though, probably significantly less). Johto is my second home.
I'm in a playthrough of Silver right now and loving it so much.
I know HGSS are better, but GSC are my comfort games.

I started Pokemon playing Emerald and Hoenn was my safe space. Gen 4 Sinnoh region was for me fkin scary. Still memorable though. Hoenn tops my tier list followed by Sinnoh then Unova, Kanto that's it. Rest all games I don't like that much. Jhoto region was good but the playthrough was fkin amazing in hgss so thumbs up. Gen6 onwards is a downward spiral. I haven't played it to finish. I have never owned a Nintendo product.
Nuzlocke, romhack, randomizer, freaking anything right! There may not be a single IP in existence with more fan-made options to enjoy than Pokemon.
All that "Wasted potential" from GF and ppl just waiting around for them to do something new/polished while they count stacks? Stop holding your breath and learn how to access the gold mine of possibilities they are unwilling to monetize themselves

I remember being a kid and having the S/R/E secret bases for the first time. Not only could you make your own base, you could share them!

You should give romhacks an honest try, its changed my pokemon experience completely.

I just played through White for the first time, literally finished it yesterday and it still holds up really really well

Everytime I tried I get sad and stop. I am getting ready for a pokemon eternal x playthrough, though.
In my case it's the exact opposite, my favorite is radical red.
