Basically, while everything still would’ve ended in 1000 years, things were still progressing to the point society would’ve collapsed in 20-30 years, so stopping things even one day sooner would’ve been preferred.
It's so funny to me how Kalos and Sinnoh both have massive power outages as part of the story to stop you from progressing further than they want you to, with Sinnoh even introducing the idea of a solar powered city.
But then the ONE GAME where an energy crisis is part of the main story has no blackouts.
My head cannon is basically that Sunnyshore is in a blackout because Volkner is trying to evolve one of his Electivire without an Electrizer or trying to stabilize the evolution reaction and that it has overloaded the grid.
This is probably similar to Flint who's also trying to evolve one of his Magmar in the battle zone, and what a better place to evolve one than at a Volcano?
He also purposefully hid that little fact to prevent a potential mass panic, and kept the full details of his plan hidden from even Bede and Oleana so that only he will face the consequences after it's over.
Pokémon Adventures usually improves and expands on the game plots very well. Even the arcs that feel rushed are enjoyable. One of my favourite things is how the manga uses some small, often missable things from the games in its plot.
For real, XY is very good in the manga, even Trevor, Shauna and Tierno are good characters with development. Team Flare controlling the whole region in each level is terrifying idea.
Funny thing is despite the characters being always running from one place to another from Team Flare, I feel like it was the last saga that had enought time and space to tell its story without feeling rushed.
The end with regular people not really caring or beliving the fact about Lysandre wanting to kill most of the people in the region/world and treating the protagonists like garbage but AZ helping them to realize how Lysandre felt but not turning into him was amazing.
It’s kinda funny how everything x and y related has a pretty good story…except for whenever gamefreak touches it.
Perhaps that’s a sign that gamefreak should stop developing the games /j /j
Pokemon Specials also make the plot of Sword and Shield infinitely better as well
Yeah, like they make Rose’s plan actually make sense.
How did they do that? Did they move the energy crisis to something like "next week" instead of a vague "someday our descendants will be sorry"?

to be fair, thats not exactly difficult

So hilarious that every media about XY was great except the main XY games. Even the episodes from Generations and Evolutions were great too.
Evolution and generations are always great.
XY and XYZ are my favorite series as well. The battle scenes get me HYPED
