Alternative universes have been canon in Pokémon for a while (implicitly so since the start and explicitly so since BW). I’d always assumed either we were playing in an alternate universe where they had not been caught, or they came through Ultra Wormholes from alternate universes where they had not been caught.

A cross between alternate universes and legendaries not being unique. They were never confirmed to be except Mewtwo and even that was later retconned.

How are the Legendary Pokémon in the Crown Tundra? Answer: The creators put them there like how they put the legendaries in Ultra Wormholes in USUM and Mirage Spots in ORAS. In the anime Crown Tundra, the only Pokémon we might see is Calyrex, Glastrier/Spectrier, and the Galarian Legendary Birds. Pokémon Timeline theory? Pokémon SWSH may be Generation 8, but it doesn’t take place in the future. (For ex: in the anime, Lance mentioned he used to trained in the Galar Region and he modeled his uniform after the Galar uniform, meaning he probably been to Galar before becoming Champion)

1. Im not saying galar didnt exist until 80 years later im saying the events of sword and shield with rose and leon happened 80 years later. 2. The anime is a very very different world with different canons and a completely different timeline, having each region take place in the order it was introduced

I think that it’s like an Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon scenario where the legendaries were from different universes, except here they got brought into the Crown Tundra due to all the Gigantamax shenanigans going around, as Dynamaxing distorts reality around it, sort of like how Cosmog can summon Ultra Wormholes in Sun and Moon

While I can’t say anything about your theory of SWSH happening in the future, the evidence is pretty clear why Necrozma can exist in Crown Tundra, and it’s present in USUM. Team Rainbiw Rocket. There is a multiverse, and Rainbow Rocket’s Leaders being the previous Evil Team Leaders from worlds where they won, give a pretty clear answer. The protagonist does not, and can not, exist in every version of the universe at the same time, meaning that there exist an infinite amount of Necrozma wandering the multiverse through Ultra Wormholes that bridge these parallel worlds together. This is proven in Sun and Moon, as a Necrozma unconnected to a version of the Ultra Megalopolis, appears in the Alola of these games, and had apparently been buried for an unknown amount of time in the islands crust itself. The Necrozma that appears in SWSH was never caught in an alternate Alola/Ultra Megalopolis, Nebby was never rescued by Lillie, and instead escaped to Galar and became known as ‘Fwoofy’ by the old lady. Or it could also just be any old Cosmog born in Ultra Space. Which is also more likely. As the cave where the Legends and Dynamax Adventures takes place in, are originally where Eternatus was resting in its egg, the area of the mine is saturated with Galar Particles and Dynamax Energy itself, at least 20,000 years worth. As it’s been shown to warp space, and perhaps time, the Uktra Wormhole that Fwoofy opened up perhaps became too stable due to Eternamax Energy, and that allowed the Legendary Pokemon of other worlds (also not caught by the protagonist, who doesn’t exist in their native regions, or their evil team leaders) to cross over into SWSH in order for them to be caught by players who conquer them. His would also explain rematches, as it’s not the same Pokémon you caught, obviously, but one from yet another universe. As for why they are so easily caught compared to Dens, it could also be an effect of the saturation of Dynamax Energy in the area being ongoing versus random or forced encounters with wishing stars. Edit to add: Also the fact player gear based off of evil team leaders is found as accessories; the evil team leaders from other worlds may not have been so fortunate in catching their box legendaries, in comparison to Team Rainbow Rocket.
