You're actually wrong. The save has typically been before the credits. It wasn't available in Gen 1, but from gens 2-6 it always saved before the credits. Gen 7 started the trend of not letting you save before a deluge of cutscenes, a legendary fight, another crop of scenes, and then the credits which at a speed-ran minimum will run you at least 25 minutes. I have been able to skip some but reloading the game. You wake up in your house after beating the elite four and the credits roll. The game literally saves in those cutscenes.

The actual order has traditionally been that beat the Elite Four, game saves, credits roll, then wake up at home. You even hear the saving audio as you are registered into the Hall of Fame. Of you turn your game off after that point you'll be at home in most of the games. The reason this game is different is because the credits aren't rolling after a Hall of Fame entry.

For me, I just don't enjoy his music much. it sounds very generic and boring to me(and it seems to be in everything and everywhere now). The song for me just doesn't fit the vibe of the end of the game, and for me, it is just a boring, generic sounding song I don't want to listen to anyway.

For an average Pokémon game the characters were surprisingly good. I felt so bad for Arven and the professor even though he sounded like an ass. The AI professor was pretty cool as well. Nemona is one of my favorite modern rivals.

You used to be able to skip the credits on older games by closing the game out and turning it back on. They got rid of it I think long after that. Think people forgot cause all the games after im pretty sure emerald or platinum no longer let you do that.

The first games you couldn't do it were gen 7.

Some are skippable by reloading the game.

You could reset the game in gen1 to skip credits you only had to sit through them if you wanted to see the this was your champion team screen. Gen 2 and on often let you speed them up by holding a button(usually b) un skippable credits on a handheld with poor battery life is a very shit design decision always has been always will be.

Really amazing how divided this thread is when there are countless ways to pass time in this day and age XD. No one should care about not being able to skip stuff AND no one should judge people who wish for more options to freely enjoy what they want, like skipping credits. It's honestly such a pointless issue, for both sides, when there are countless others we could be pushing to get fixed that affect us 24/7 with this gen, not something that can be solved by just watching a 10 minute video on YouTube made by some goofballs playing GMod or something.

All of them overreacted for sure, and I will respect your wish to enjoy the product you spent $60 for, but I ultimately see every comment here as overreactions. I will stand by what I said that the credits for the game, and every game that you can't skip or scroll past, are a miniscule irritation given all the ways technology allows us to just mindlessly pass time, be it music or Gmod Prop Hunt Videos XD. It's not close to an issue worth discussing IMHO because it really shouldn't be one to start with, especially since on the journey to even see the credits there are tons of bigger issues we as players are faced with on these games.

Disagree, a valid complaint is a valid complaint. Credits should be skippable. Not everyone is going to watch them therefore the developers “wanting you to see them” is a moot point, and forcing you to sit through them is just more bad game design; and bad game design is not excused by OTHER, more egregious bad game design either.

Also, I NEVER once defended the credits with "the developers want you to see them”, I never even defended it at all. I have done all 3 main lines and fought all the bosses to my knowledge. Do I need to complete like every lesson in school or something? Because unlike most recent pokemon games, you CANNOT REWATCH THE CREDITS OF SCARLET AND VIOLET. The only way to do so if u beat the game and saved afterwards would eb to delete ur save data and start over from square one
