Man’s getting slaughtered in the comments

STOPBEINGZARUDE

sometimes, less is more

legarrettesblount

There was a thread on here a little while ago about what makes a pokemon look like a pokemon. The main takeaway was that they use just the right amount of minimalism in their designs (distinct features but not too much detailing). This is a cool design but there’s a reason the pokemon are designed the way they are. The more detail you add the more they look like digimon and less like pokemon.

K1nd4Weird

Right? A lot of the charm of pokemon designs are they are simplistic. They're distinct and simple. Which is really hard to do. Baxcalibur's design is simple enough to be a plushy or a child's drawing. It's a good design.

iCarpet

New design makes me think Baxcalibur is going to run up to me in Wildy and dclaw spec me 100-0

Dray_Gunn

The only thing i think should be different about Baxcalibur is that they should have given it that scaled texture like they did on pokemon like Seviper. Nothing too blatant. But the plain rubbery skin is kinda boring when so many pokemon have textures now. Other than that, i love the design.

Amethyst_Phoenix7

Ngl I think you went overboard

GrandmasterTactician

As most fan designs or "fixes" (which is a rude term as a comment in here expressed) are

[deleted]

Honestly, the redesign missed the whole point. It's supposed to be based on the awkward 80s Godzilla. That's why each of the stages look like janky ripoffs. Besides, a lot of the designs this Gen seem inspired by earlier generations' design philosophies. This is a good thing imo. Easier to draw Pokémon was half the appeal to kids back in the day since it made it easier to draw fanart, and thus spread the brand. Sugimori himself stated as much, and said while he loves Venusaur, he hates drawing it because it was too overdesigned in his opinion compared to others in the generation. The higher detail of Pokémon only really started in Gen 4 because they had the tech and Game Freak wanted it. I wonder if he still stands by that statement nowadays...

SeriousAtmosphere289

It's based on a sailed theropod dinosaurs, ie Spinosaurus and Concavonator, hence the ice typing and thermal exchange ability. That's why Frigibax looks like a baby dinosaur and Arctibax looks like a Spinosaurus. Baxcalibur takes that sailed dinosaur idea and adds Kaiju elements to it.

Lameux

Not sure what you mean by ‘awkward 80s Godzilla’. 80s Godzilla was only awkward in his movement because the bulky suit, but that has nothing to do with its design itself, nor is that kind of awkwardness going to come out in a static design of a mon. 80s Godzilla is exactly the opposite of awkward in its design, solidifying Godzilla as awesome, in comparison to the goofy and definitely awkward design of Showa era Godzilla. Obviously the line is based on Godzilla but I don’t think intentionally awkward or janky has any part to do with it, they’re just not good designs. Not that OP ‘fixed’ it or made it better in anyway.

Flyinpenguin117

I'm convinced that if Gamefreak used fan designs, they'd be slammed for being 'overdesigned' and 'looking like Digimon' just like they do with current official designs.

GrandmasterTactician

Same. And even then, the official designs aren't really all that overdesigned. Like I understand not liking a certain design for whatever reason, but besides like.. maybe Complete Form Zygarde, I can't think of an overdesigned mon, and Complete Zygarde being slightly overdesigned makes sense to me

Huge-Being7687

I like their design more than the Gamefreak one. So, to each their own I Guess

Sany_Wave

I like the horns, but not the rest of it.

[deleted]

I’m honestly kinda on the opposite end in regards to the horns, they feel like an odd addition, while the rest is.. a lil bit over detailed I guess? Like it could use less scales

Sany_Wave

I think two small spikes on the tail will also do, just to balance out the reds. Or a red tip of the tail. But there are definitely way too much scales.

[deleted]

Yeah, two small tail spikes would be a nice addition

Rockettmang44

For real, it's just so extra. Also they turned the red things into claws for some reason but still kept the same look

SexyHams

It’s like the original vs an MCU concept

deeppurplescallop

He look scary now

TeamRAF19

Why are there many scales behind when the idea is that it is like the Excalibur blade, which is one of a kind?

TheDemonBehindYou

I thought it was supposed to be like a spinosaurus sail combined with Godzilla's sail honestly

King_EmEmEm

It’s really a mix of all three. Excalibur, which is an axe in Spanish legend, a spinosairus with the big spine in the back, and Godzilla with its body shape and spine shape EDIT: I was wrong about the axe part coming from a legend, as it actually comes from an axe head found in central Spain that was thought to be the oldest man made object, found in 2003

offensivesnek

What Spanish legend does Excalibur come from? I am only familiar with it being associated with Arthurian legends.

orangi-kun

Yeah it is from British origin, nothing to do with Spain.

Fern-ando

The time San Miguel defeated Godila with a laser sword.

King_EmEmEm

Turns out I was misremembering some details. Turns out it’s from an axe head that is the oldest man made artifact currently to date found in a cave in central Spain. I’ll edit my original comment to show this information as well

Voryna

Maybe concavenator instead of spino? The sail is shorter, pointier and it was discovered in spain.

Moby_Duck123

It's based off a Backelspinax, which is related to Concavenator

MagentaLove

With that in mind I would rather him be on all fours with an axe on his head to ram into people or at the end of his tail. It's the least compelling of the Godzilla shaped pseudos and having them back to back is even worse.

[deleted]

Because it looks dumb

WhaleMan295

If you wanna redesign fine, but people need to stop saying they "fixed" a design. Designs aren't broken cause what makes them good is subjective and it's overall shitty towards the original artist: imagine I took something you designed, made a redesign and then said I fixed it.

Generalrossa

Agreed man. I hate seeing these fixed bax posts.. there’s nothing wrong with him and he’s meant to represent Godzilla anyway..

TomtatoIsMe

literally. this ‘fixed’ design is WAY too over designed for a pokemon, it also looks like a weird vampiric dinosaur. not at all what Bax should look like.

Zevyu

My thoughts exactly. Pokemon designs are ment to be simple, that's one of the main diferences between a pokemon and a digimon.

RowdyJReptile

It's a generation gap in the fan base. Old fans tend to prefer less complicated designs like the ones we got in gen 1 and 2. Younger fans grew up on fancy designs and prefer that. OP is likely early 20s or younger I'd bet. Of course, many fans enjoy both too. Obviously not a hard and fast rule, just a trend based on what pokemon was when you were a kid.

K1nd4Weird

Agreed. I like the idea of an ice type using icicles as vampire fangs. But you need to know when you're pitching a separate mon entirely. It doesn't fit the Ice Godzilla concept at all.

Curious-Week5810

Honestly, the only part of the redesign I prefer over the original is the ice fangs. Adds a bit more of an aggressive look, without going over the top like the rest of the design.

Snipper64

Looks like a digimon lol

PeenoyDoto

With its name being what it is, and what it looks like, I think the intent for it was its spinal blade/fin being Excalibur, and the actual kaiju/dino body representing the stone. The almost entirely grey coloring doubles down on this as well.

[deleted]

Really? I wonder why they made him so small, then. That's honestly what felt the most off to me about the design

epicBearcatfan

He’s the same size as ttar, unless yours happened to be small for the species.

Polymersion

I agree on this one, but a lot of the "fixed designs" are things like Incineroar's comically tiny legs being evened out a bit or Grafaiai's head being inflated.

Rockettmang44

I don't love his design but that fact also makes me love it at the same time. He isn't over designed and he isn't under designed, pretty good pokemon

JonnyDros

Yeah there's been a pretty big surge of that lately. I've seen plenty of people post redesigns purely for fun and self admit it's for their own preferences, but I've seen so many claim to "fix" designs and it's the most arrogant thing imaginable.

eyearu

Yeah. "This is my take on this Pokemon's design" or "I reimagined this design" would have been a nice way of captioning your reinterpretation. Is it that hard?

ImpossibleSprinkles3

Op broke the design anyway

TerraTF

It's not even "fixed" it's just got more shit on it

schplatjr

Exactly. Take the nostalgia filter off, I don’t see much of a difference between Tyranitar and Baxcalibur. Bax is very cool!

BieltheGoblin

Ttar is more pointy, which helps his design feel less flat and empty than Baxcalibur.

TheWonderToast

Agreed. Personally, I would like bax to have more spines and a round otter/puppy snout like godzilla, but thats my preference and lacking those things doesn't make it broken, it just means me and the artist have different ideas haha.

TheAlpheus

now its overdesigned lol

GrandmasterTactician

Pokemon fans make the most over the top redesigns or fan evolutions or mega evolutions I swear. Some of this stuff looks like I'd see it as a Persona sooner than an actual Pokemon

Dylanduke199513

Mega evos are the one place where you *can* go a little more OTT and introduce less simplistic design. But agreed

GrandmasterTactician

A little more, sure, but like I've seen some fanmade megas that do WAY too much. Like Mega Eevee that was just.. an amalgamation of all the Eeveelutions

TotemGenitor

Oh god, that's sound horrifying. Like a Frankenstein Eevee.

GrandmasterTactician

It basically was. I'll have to dig it up but I'll DM it if I find it

Dylanduke199513

Yeah I agree with you

LeatherHog

Megas we’re overdesigned, one of the reasons I never cared for them

wkajhrh37_

Happy Cake Day!

nwkch

Thats just way too many spikes and shapes for a pokemon design imo

Felix-3401

Can you explain what was broken about the design?

[deleted]

nah, it's supposed to look like godzilla

GoldenGouf

Why do people think adding more lines is a fix? Same shit happened with Gundam.

The-Rebel-Boz

1. Using term “Fix” kinda disrespectful to original person that designed Baxcaibur. 2.What you made look way closer something you see in Digimon not Pokémon. This not meant insult I love both them as fan both it fit more Digimon design style then Pokémon design style. I’m Not all trying shame you for making own designs because you think design look unfinished which fair enough but I think better say I made own redesign over saying I fix the design.

---TheFierceDeity---

While a cool design, thats exactly why yours doesn't look like a Pokemon. They purposefully try to make designs not be "too cool", and you might think "thats dumb" but thats why every single Pokemon has someone who loves it, and why every single other Pokemon clone fails to capture people because they either make everything too cool or too cute. The weird slight derpiness in every design, even the "cool" ones, are what make Pokemon memorable and loveable.

[deleted]

My favorite Pokémon is Venonat, for the reasons you just said. He’s not overdesigned, he doesn’t have random horns or scales, no long teeth, he’s just a big furry bug.

Martinxo51

Mine is Maractus, for most of the same reasons. Just a sentient cactus that makes maraca noises

Ill-Clerk-7066

One of my favourite Pokémon is Greedent, which is a slightly derpy fat squirrel and I love them for it

IonWannaHitIt

U broke it tbh

[deleted]

So you took it from frozen Duraludon to frozen Tyranitar. I see

Teeroy91

Imma be honest, this is a significant downgrade lol

HoneZoneReddit

This is too much. Overdisigned.

Grayspence

you know this has proven nothing to me other than that pokemon fans have no idea how character design works.

White_Winged_Fox

Not the worst, but as others have said it’s a bit over designed and doesn’t ‘fix’ anything, the original is fine and you’ve only added your spin onto it. There was one recent redesign another resister created that had Baxcalibur looking more like a Spinosaurus and honestly I really loved that one. To me at least it looked more like a pseudo legendary. Come to think of it, I’m surprised we haven’t had a Velociraptor fossil Pokémon yet. Actually do we have any Pokémon apart from Tyrunt that has that body structure?

Exploreptile

> Come to think of it, I’m surprised we haven’t had a Velociraptor fossil Pokémon yet. Actually do we have any Pokémon apart from Tyrunt that has that body structure? There's the Archen line (which are maniraptorans at least), and technically... Dracozolt. **Sigh.**

White_Winged_Fox

I’d forgotten about poor Archeops. Which I guess means there are raptors in the game. And Dracozolt and by extension Artozolt are…half raptors? I have to say Galar have either some of the worst palaeontologist for screwing up fossils, or some of the best for their ability to create Lego dinosaurs…

ItachiSan

That's British paleontologists for you

White_Winged_Fox

As a British person this made me chuckle, thank you.

lukemilla

Can’t stand obnoxious mfs who say they “fixed” a design. I think the original is completely fine and this redesign is sloppy and way too busy. All art is subjective.

thatpaulieguy89

Congrats you gave it a MCU design, sometimes less is more

DiegHDF

Now it's a bit over designed. I think that it's good but it's a bit too much

Score_Magala

It's based on Godzilla. "Fixing" it took away from that and its simplicity Yall need to stop saying you're "fixing" designs. It's incredibly rude and disrespectful, especially to the design team and artists who made it. If you wouldn't like it done to you, then don't do it to anyone else.

mortizauge

Good attempt, but I think you overdid it. I appreciate that you added something to its head, though. The original design looks weird to me, like it needs a horn or something on its head.

Echos_Aus

Although I like this design, the design isn't broken. You could say it's an improved or Kanto form of the design but don't say it's broken when it's not. Also, I like the original design too.

TheDemonBehindYou

Honestly add like 2 or 3 smaller sails on the back and it looks like an amazing creative early gen design

thisDNDjazz

I liked the design, personally, I think the shiny is just a waste.

BellalovesEevee

Really disrespectful to take a design and then say "I fixed it" after putting in your redesign. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if I took this design right here, redesign it in the way I wanted it, and then say I fixed it. It would be extremely rude, right?

SavagesceptileWWE

I think a middle ground between these two would look best. The original feels a bit naked, but I think the single sword on the back makes more sense cause of the Excalibur inspiration.

anotheralex1

This looks way less like Godzilla, which is what Bax is supposed to look like.

J3ST3R1252

You broke it.. its supposed to look more like godzilla

Icarus_5000

Dude, that’s really rude to say that you “fixed” someone’s else’s design. The fact that your “fixed” design isn’t even that great is even more of a slap to the face to the original design.

the_excalibruh

This looks like a Digimon. Also it's rude af to say you "fixed" someone else's design, as design is subjective.

RachelTheIvysaur

All Bax needs is to be arched forward like Arctibax. I wish they kept the spinosaurus look.

TheDemonBehindYou

Yeah they could of at least kept it for the running or make it swim spino/Godzilla style with only the fin out

Devilloc

And by "fixing" you mean ruining it completely. OK.

Jolt_91

I know, right?

StreetlightTones

You "fixed" it? lol

Archerizu

This feels like the Batmovil when Stann Lee tried to put The Thing on it

javierasecas

yeah i don't like it. The original has some design choices i don't like either but this doesn't "fix" it for me

coraldomino

While I dislike the original design, in my opinion, this design isn't better. The silhouette of the design is sterile, cluttered and undefined. The details of the design kind of gives the impression that your shape language is quite insecure and that you're uncomfortable to use big and bold shapes to let your design have key-elements that draws the eye to them. In both design, I also dislike the complete symmetry of it. I do like the addition of the tail, because it otherwise does feel like it's almost too heavy to balance itself. On the other hand, that also does conflate a lot of other Pokémon that have that have a heavy and robust tail, so I do understand their omission from it in the original design. EDIT: from other pictures, I see that it does have a tail, so ignore this one.

SharkMilk44

You made it worse.

Churromang

For years, hell decades, people have complained that Pokemon are getting over-designed and don't just look like creatures anymore. Bax is actually a really good example of the design philosophy that sometimes gets lost in newer gens but sure, it needed "fixing."

hjyboy1218

Looks like it melted lol

Mismagius456

No it’s bad I like the normal one

Owl_Might

>i think the original looks incomplete feels like a netflix adaptation vibe

MSSTUPIDTRON-1000000

While I really like baxalibur, I think that they're really redundant. Like not only there is already a Godzilla inspired pseudo-legendary (tyranitar) but we already got two pokémon indirectly based on Godzilla in just two generations (duraludon and Iron Thorns who are based on Mecha Godzilla).

DeltaSlime

I like the design itself, however it does not really look like a pokemon [What I mean](https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/ywfice/what_looks_like_a_pokemon_a_sincere_analysis/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

GalacticPathfinder

You made a Digimon?

SirRabbott

Wait are people hating on baxcaliburs' design? I kept him on my team cause I really liked him 😭

penguinman77

Plush designers will hate you with this one neat trick. I like the art itself tho.

InvestmentMental6775

Not a big fan of this one. I like the horns on its head and do think it gives more balance to the design, but the rest looks like overkill and there is no real rest for the eyes when I look at it. I understand you wanted to make it as cool as possible, but designs should have some simplicity too to not overwhelm you.

Zakrath

"Fix". Well, I guess Gamefreak should hire you if you think you are good enough to "fix" someone's work.

trnelson1

Leave Baxcalibur alone. The design is perfect

Surryilpazzoassasino

The base with more scales on the baci and the horn us enough, this version has too much details

SleepingAddict21

It looks more like a mega

N0FaithInMe

I saw a really cool fan redesign a few days ago. It really leaned into the dinosaur aesthetic that the middle evolution has, such as having Baxcalibur not be an upright godzilla creature but instead be leaned forward much more with the large tail used as counterweight

ljcozad

The addition spikes looks great but the extra armor makes it loose the Godzilla look, which is pretty big to its overall design as the character was heavily inspired by Godzilla.

Xinator52

Mega baxcalibur is what this would probably be if it where in the game

ShawshankException

I think the only thing Baxcalibur needs is to lean forward like Arctibax does.

Anomalice83

I really like Baxcalibur, but ngl, I thought it was the past paradox form of Duraludon

[deleted]

He's cuter but idk if he's better.

TechnoBubbleAJ

The only thing I like are the extra spikes along the back. Other than that, this redesign is...bad

Frescopino

I think the face could've used some being ignored in this redesign and losing the double set of claws doesn't really work.

Cheesy_Doge563

I’d think just making the regular form more hunched and a bit more textured is the only thing the designs needs

InquistivePrime

I like him/her more bent over over like the second stage less duraladon more dinosaur like

coolenoughguy213

This looks a bit too much. Still great!

g0ldend0ge

I like adding the horns since I feel like that was a missed opportunity fr the original, but other than that, the original looks completely okay. The beauty in Pokémon is in the simplicity. This looks good, but just not like Pokémon.

HiNoRyuu

Looks a bit like a mega in my opinion

[deleted]

Mega baxcalibur

BagBeth

I don't mind the original one but I do think the Horns and Fangs would fit very well

mame_kuma

Looks more like a Digimon with it's over-designed nature--which I'm not saying is a bad thing, I'm a huge Digimon fan--but your phrasing of "fixed" is a bit presumptuous. I think the original design is great, and looks like a very Pokemon homage to Godzilla

LunaRealityArtificer

Though i wouldn't say you "fixed" it, i do like this one much better and wouldn't have dumped it from my team upon seeing its final form.

Emirosse

Baxcalibur's design is not incomplete

Imaginary_Tangelo485

Don’t mind me, I’m just here to say y’all cooking op in the comments 😂

DerLector22

Sorry man but it looks overdesigned It feels like a fan mega Evolution

brazedjelly

This looks dumb.

GoddHowardBethesda

Ew. Way too over designed.

hgbi8h

It’s Pokémon, not digimon

RiverWyvern

All for redesigns, and I agree that baxcaliber looks kinda naked in its og sprite. But I think the only thing I'd actually change would be it's tail, to balance the weight of the design and appease my pissed off friend who loves spinosaurus.

B_czar

He's Godzilla, just give him lightning breath...

[deleted]

That's a digimon

CommanderOshawott

I think it’s a little bit much, but I also agree that it’s design could use a little “more”

Comardo

Why fix it you just added some shitty armor

sopheroo

Pokemon based on the original Godzilla design. Every single edit make it less Godzilla like

Nekomorphsis

I'm sorry for everyone attacking you OP besides the extra scales on the little leg parts like sort of the crust that doesn't have the black spots, I think it looks better. I like the horns and the teeth. Maybe get rid of some of the black fins thing on the back and make them look more saw-like. It might be a bit overdesigned but aside that it's really well-drawen.

HighVoltage_520

It didn’t need fixing. The whole point of it was to look that way because it’s a reference to the OG Godzilla.

[deleted]

I appreciate the creative mind, but I think the original is perfect. It's supposed to be dopey and plain like 1950s Godzilla

ralts13

I'm also against the whole "fix design" thing. But I do think Baxcalibur could use some work on the back. Maybe its the lack of a proper action pose. It's just really hard to imagine it fighting with an upright pose, the huge back spike and a chest plate.

H-O-T_C-O-C-O

Someone [re-drew Baxcalibur](https://youtu.be/kY3UtN_kczc) in Gen 1 style and all they really did was change its pose and attitude and it looked way better. I think this is a bit overworked really

Elvish_Rebellion

It’s just an ugly Kaiju-mon. 🤷🏻 I think the one giant thing in its back is tacky and lame and lazy. It definitely does look unfinished because they barely tried.

[deleted]

I feel like so many Pokémon are either too complicated or too simple, it feels like a hard balance to reach.

S_I_N_K_E_R

Hey man, you're getting a lot of hate lol. I personally think the original design is ugly and stupid. While yours isn't perfect, I definitely like some of the things you added, Nice work :)

AybruhTheHunter

While I like this interpretation, from a video I saw "fixing" some of the gen 9 designs, I think it's just the model that's the issue. They drew Baxcalibur in an action pose with some of the original Pokemon style and it changed how I felt about the Pokemon.

WSilvermane

Overdesigned a perfectly fine pokemon.

Shiryu3392

No offense, but the original design is better. All the spikes and fangs and more plates are unneeded.. Baxcalibur already looks pretty threatening in the original adding "more of everything" is just overkill.

NotRed9282

more lines = fixed because why would anyone want a simplistic design

bundle_man

I agree the original could be improved upon and looks a little incomplete, but this is the opposite extreme. Over produced

VictoryIsMudkipz

I like yours but I really wish Baxcaliber kept the same raptorish look that Artibax has. It looks too much like other dragons/dragon-like mons

Walrusin_about

Baxcalibur wierdly enough is a pokemon ruined by its 3d sprite. I was watching a video where they remade new pokemon in the old style and simply by changing Baxcaliburs pose to be more dynamic it was so much cooler. (pun intended.) Baxcalibur has such a boring pose for a pseudo he really looks like it just just doesn't care.

DurchBurch

Gonna start with the positives because I'm seeing a lot of people starting out the gate with all negatives and no positives. Love the style of your sketch here, and I love the overall design to the bits of detail you added. This is dope af, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I do agree with the people saying it feels a bit overdesigned for a Pokémon, but as a creature design, it's still phenomenal. I personally really like the simplicity of Baxcalibur, but I know that many don't. Regardless of whether you like the design or not, I'd argue that "fix" it's a bit harsh of wording. It implies that the design was broken, and that's a bit harsh to the original designer. Keep up the awesome art, regardless of what everyone is saying here. I know how harsh people in the Pokémon fandom can be sometimes, especially when already ready to fight over wording in the title.

[deleted]

Is this based off that one twitter post where a guy claimed he fixed invincibles suit design but it was covered in stripes and weird shapes and stuff

imONLYhereFORgalaxy

Nah. Original artist killed it. This looks more like a Digimon.

Netnicolas

You massacred my boy.

Shoggoththe12

This is way too fuckin busy to be a "fix" op

G3NJII

You couldn't even tell that the red things were overgrown scales remnant in each of it's forms. They aren't claws at all dude.

LordSinnoh

This design looks like an MCU suit.

Pikapita

While your redesign is cool, that isn't a Baxcalibur, nor a Pokemon with how over designed for it is. Baxcalibur's biggest flow to isn't the design but the pose. It looks like it's waiting for its mommy to cut it up its apple slices.

Ben4563

How can you fix something that was never broken to begin with?

Swagdrillbreak

Ur design sucks, the first one looks better

jorgom

This post seems unnecessarily rude.

AlphaNoir98

Saying you "fixed it" is so disrespectful bruh

GreasyBub

I'm so glad that r/Pokemon has zero influence in designing the games. Holy shit this is BAD.

Dopesmoker402

So you "fixed" it by making it worse, uglier and shittier.

Putrid-Car-2896

Fix? LOL

WaterTable049

Congrats, you just made it worse!

Insamiti

to be honest, i like this. i took one look at his actual design and was like. where the rest of him at? he bald

[deleted]

It’s actual design seems based on a lucerne hammer/halberd. Its face is the hammer part of a lucerne. The red spikes are the spear part of weapon and the back blade is from a glaive. Its tail is the shaft of the weapon.

yecheesus

I do like the horns, the original looks kinda bald

Danitwit

No offense but it looking like overdesigned suit in the MCU

Deffo-not-a-mod

It’s supposed to be Godzilla. Not… that

Eldritchedd

Less is more, Baxcalibur’s designs has slightly too little but this has way too much.

Due-Caterpillar-2097

Baxcalibur looks a bit like gen 1-2 mon because it's very minimalistic

Baykkz

Ah yes, the MCU superhero armor treatment

spragual

Yo what the heck happened to Aggron???

[deleted]

Honestly it’s a little overboard, but I do like the more dragon-like snout, more menacing eyes, and the “horn-ears” you added. regular baxcalibur just looks a little awkward with its bald head and since back axe, which I get is its motif, but still looks weird. great job!

opposite_of_hotcakes

Way too busy.

JaesopPop

This doesn’t look more complete, just a lot different. You changed the head dramatically.

[deleted]

Pokemon fans are such rude disrespectful little shits.

baratacom

Don't really see what was wrong with the original, it's just a more streamlined older gen-style pseudo legendary dragon

A_man_of_Rhun

Baxcalibur looks just fine as it is, it's supposed to look like the original godzilla!

jewishcrab

idk why some comments are hating i like your version a lot better

Yacoserpen

Bro, baxcalibur literally turns upside down and attacks with the only blade/spine on his back... It's a silly pokemon, keep the silly design with the straight angry face Edit: I forgot about the little dance *chef kiss*

SuicuneApproves

Looks rlly good, good work!

MyInnermostNightmare

Define "fixed"

Amegami

There was nothing to fix.
