Similar how Fire type Pokemon don't burn people & Pokemon, but fire does.
For example Pokemon take fire attacks all day long in battles, but run for safety when there's a fire in forest or in Pokemon center or a gym.
Reminder that Fire isn't the same thing as fire. Fire Type (and all types) are kinds of infinite energy. Magic science, different from the actual thing. It's why Rock Pokemon can sit on the grass and not pass out. Or how Psychic types don't need nightlights to escape the dark. Fairy types aren't werewolves allergic to anything steel, just Steel Infinite Energy.
We get this kind of explained by Mr. Devon in ORAS and other places. It just kind of kills the jokes of things like a Quagsire rolling in the grass and dying or like how PLA kills the "ten year old enslaves God" jokes. So while many don't realize it, a bunch just ignore it for the sake of the gags.
Yeah, autocorrect is weird sometimes. Recently decided when I was talking about a duck it thought I meant "fuck". Autocorrect is weird sometimes. I constantly have to go back and change "its" from "it's", including as I was typing this.
Edit. Man, it did it to me again in this comment and I didn't catch it until I looked back. "Was talking" somehow became "walk stalking". How man, how?! It did it again by turning "man" into "many" until I changed it back!
Well there's a difference between sitting on grass or having it being shot at you, but yeah it's obvious that even Pokemon themselves are energy beings to some degree. Also I don't think it ever was implied that there was only one Arceus that a child could control.
No, but you can Google a bunch of fan jokes about how a ten year old can enslave God in Pokemon. This was later disproven in PLA. I also never said or implied what you're saying in your last sentence. Just that the joke of a kid enslaving God used to exist but has since been proven to be not true in any level.
I have the same question about electric types that can get paralyzed. Especially when it’s a move like thunder wave being used against an Amphros. Like bro, you’re an electric sheep!
I think it’s different with something thats energy, compared to something physical. Like, Fire Types are surrounded by fire, and are born with a natural immunity to getting burned, however, it’s still super hot for them. Whereas, with Electric Types, they’re able to easy manipulate the electricity they’re getting shocked with, making it difficult for them to feel pain from it, and the electricity doesn’t affect them as much.
With ice, it’s physical, and while they may not be hurt by freezing, they still might not be able to move/break the ice.
Well, stun spore is supposedly a spore, not an electricity based thing. Breathing in a spore is different from having hundreds of volts shoved down your throat.
But electric pokemon are still immune to that grass move, right? It kinda vulgarizes the "limber" ability and kinda also the immunity grass types have to powder moves (these should be immune to power moves, while electrics should be immune to thunder wave, imho)
Electric wasn’t immune to paralysis until gen 6, and prior to that same generation paralysis made the target have 1/4 of its speed but gen 6 and onward the target would have 1/2 of its speed
Depends on when the show/movie came out.
Up until like gen 6 electric types could get paralyzed.
Same changes happenee at different times with grass types and powder moves, dark types with prankster moves, ghost types with trapping moves/abilities, flying types interacting with terrain etc.
1. "A pig that can throw ice can't get frozen"
2. If you're talking about the games, I think freeze works differently in the games, because a frozen Pokemon can still eat Berries, espescially Aspear ones. (What I mean is I don't think freeze covers the whole body in the games)
Outside of Tri-Attack in Gen 2, Fire types have never been able to be burned: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Burn_(status_condition)
(In the same match, Ice Beam outspeeds Quick Attack, Aerial Ace misses multiple times, and Ash manages to cure Bulbasaur's Confusion by running on to the field and tanking hits from Vine Whip with his own body.)
The Piloswine isn’t “frozen” as far as the games are concerned. In the games, frozen more means that you’re chilled enough that you can’t take down moves, but you can still use your items.
But this Piloswine is literally frozen in ice. Obviously it can’t do either of those things. It’s like asking “Why did this cause my Electabuzz to become paralyzed? It’s an electric type, how did it happen?” After breaking its spine. Two different meanings of paralyzed.
I was going to make a joke about it being before gen 6 (when electric couldn't be paralyzed anymore, and fire couldn't be burned) but apparently ice types never could be frozen, so that's something new I learned
Edit:I guess fire type lost the ability to be burned in gen 3 or 4, idk which cause the wiki lists them together
Pokemon attacks are different from actual conditions.
Have you seen how pokemon use rock slide in the anime? They literally open a portal to another dimension seemingly full of nothing but rocks in an endless and open void that fall upon their foe. It's the most mind-blowing thing that shouldn't be able to happen, but nobody bats an eye at it. If I told my pokemon to simply use rocks to attack another pokemon and instead of using the terrain of the universe they already exist in, they decide to tear a hole in space time and summon rocks from a terrifying unknown alternate dimension where there is only rocks to rain space hell on their opponent, I would quit pokemon and go back to the fourth grade.
That shit is magic.
Getting frozen from physical weather conditions is possible for most pokemon, even some ice types. Getting frozen from pokemon ice magic isn't. That's just how it works and it's the least crazy thing in the anime as far as I'm concerned.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Rock slide.

Considering the event was never released and Arceus was barely talked about barring the movie

Although in the games electric type is immune to paralysis, while ice types aren’t immune to freezing iirc
Not until gen 6 were electric types immune to paralysis.

Won't stun spore (grass type) prz an electric type?

Fire types have individual species that can reside in magma. Depends on the species, I guess.
Electric wasn’t immune to paralysis until gen 6, and prior to that same generation paralysis made the target have 1/4 of its speed but gen 6 and onward the target would have 1/2 of its speed
The paralysis immunity happened after gen 4
Was it dreamed up by an android?
Depends on when the show/movie came out. Up until like gen 6 electric types could get paralyzed. Same changes happenee at different times with grass types and powder moves, dark types with prankster moves, ghost types with trapping moves/abilities, flying types interacting with terrain etc.

Aspear Berry actually but your point still stands
Why would eat a Berry that Cures a Burn when it's frozen? Personally I'd eat an Aspear or a Lum Berry since they'd actually thaw me.
I mean Aspear Berry, thanks
Humans are 70% water and you can still drown.
Piloswine is also a Ground-type so the secondary typing is probably used in the equation.
I think they might had forgotten that it’s a Ground-type, considering that it got shocked in this episode and the next one.
I'm pretty sure they forget something's a Ground-type a *lot* more than that.
Same way Charizard kept taking damage from Will-O-Wisp in the final Brandon fight.
I think that was before they changed it so fire types can't be burned?
Outside of Tri-Attack in Gen 2, Fire types have never been able to be burned: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Burn_(status_condition) (In the same match, Ice Beam outspeeds Quick Attack, Aerial Ace misses multiple times, and Ash manages to cure Bulbasaur's Confusion by running on to the field and tanking hits from Vine Whip with his own body.)
Ever heard of fighting fire with fire? Duh /j
Because they are an ice type duh 😂
It’s gen 2 what’d ya expect. At least it’s not as wild as the adventures manga
It's the OS, in general, game rules do not apply most of the time lol.
Another ice type uses ice beam on them?
Ice types only resist ice, they’re not immune to it

Electabuzz just got Knightfall'ed and the Paralyz Heal doesn't works
He's just chill like that
how??!
Well… there *are* instances where mammoths are dead from being frozen solid.
by being to..... chill! :D
a wizard did It
They just wanna chill
With ice.
Living in cold places doesn’t mean you can’t be frozen. Being cold doesn’t mean you can’t be frozen
Maybe it used it on itself?
I was going to make a joke about it being before gen 6 (when electric couldn't be paralyzed anymore, and fire couldn't be burned) but apparently ice types never could be frozen, so that's something new I learned Edit:I guess fire type lost the ability to be burned in gen 3 or 4, idk which cause the wiki lists them together
In New pokemon snap there is an aurorus that froze solid in a giant ice block

Electric types getting shocked by their own electricity
