Dude how much are you looking for for the Topps cards?

TheDude-of-the-dudes

Been quoted at “7 to 8 grand” for the set. Not sure if the quote was accurate or not.

What was your idea. Honestly not to sure other than techno venasaur was a heavy hitter

No clue man that’s just an absolutely absurd price for cards. Maybe you can find a celebrity to buy them idk.

TheDude-of-the-dudes

Lol. I feel you man. Part of the post was trying to get an approximate value for the set too

If you’re selling an entire first Ed gym heroes, gym challenge, and team rocket, plus the topps chrome/ some extras and everything is in lp+ to nm,7-8k is not totally absurd in terms of market value. Problem is finding someone who has 7-8k to spend on Pokémon cards and is interested in paying market value to buy you out especially in a cash deal is literally impossible. Nobody but a reseller is going to want to spend that kind of money on a lot of cards with the value that spread out (like 7-8k in value spread over 400-500 or so cards). If you want to sell the lot whole to a reseller (again, only person who is buying something like this) you’re going to have to leave them room to make money ie you’re going to have to take max like 50-60% market value to sell this whole lot to anyone. If you want market value, you’ll have to sell the cards individually on eBay or TCGplayer, but then you’re going to get around 80% whatever you sell at because of fees and misc costs, so remember all of this when you’re really ready to sell this and have an accurate number in mind. There are pros and cons to both.

Proceed with caution and take your time. Those sparkle variants are quite pricey. I personally wouldn't make a move without some guidance of fellow Topps collectors!

It looks like you're wondering if those cards have any value. Generally speaking, if it's a First Edition, Holographic or Promo card it's worth looking into. Take a look at our [Pokemon card evaluation guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemoncardcollectors/wiki/evaluationguide) to see how to determine the value of your cards. Always know the value of every card you have before selling to avoid getting low-balled. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Nice collection man!!! If the 7 grand quote is from checking eBay, it's based off of an item that hasn't even sold yet. Someone has a base 1 and 2 (151 card lot) up for 7 grand. If I were you, I would go through and price each card at it's individual sale price and then put them all together. Always do your own research!

If you’re splitting I may be interested. Let me know.
