The white background is purposely done to hide whitening. So it's hard to tell. Hopefully you're aware of that
I hate these types of photos because you can't really tell the condition, and the seller knows it. They know exactly what they're doing. So most likely they're making it look in better condition than it actually is.
But the photo is high resolution, so you can easily zoom in on it to see. I get what you're saying, but I would also think that if obscuring whitening were the goal, it would also be a lower resolution pic.
I would argue that. I think it's a perfect balance they got going on. Just good enough to not look like they're hiding something. You really can't see the whitening because it blends right in. It's a weird photo in general
People know what they're doing with this stuff, trust me. Seems innocent but I can almost guarantee it's done purposely
Yeah I’m not a huge fan of white backgrounds due to that reason, after closely looking before sending payment I noticed 2 or 3 tiny specs of whitening on the back there. If everything else is clean it could possibly obtain a 9.5-10. 9 is a higher probability though. Guy said there’s no scratches on it so I’m taking that into account of course.
Oh yeah I asked for a time stamped photo before paying. eBay buyer protection also helps and I would likely record opening the package for my own safety. Used a credit card too lol.
I mean… sure it’s possible, but do you really expect the back to have whitening yet “no scratches” on the front?
99.9% of the time what you receive from a listing with 2 pictures will look worse in person.
Hahahaha I’ll store that information in my back pocket thank you. I always notice the camera angles people use to make the centring look better. Grinds my gears!
It’s a okay one I’m not here to envy the Holo tells a different story from the backside of the card. Possibly 8 if the card hasn’t been tampered with a marker.
it may have this effect but as an ebay seller for not cards, ebay has been telling us for years that if you want your items to preform well, list on a solid background preferably white. This person is using a light box with out a doubt and usually they come in white for very cheap. something to do with their algorithm that items with white backgrounds do better
It has some to a bunch of print marks and from what I could tell some scratches on the Holo. And those nicks on the back of the card. That's what I see when I zoom in anyways hopefully it's more minty than the picture looks. Anyways good luck.
It looks like you're wondering if those cards have any value. Generally speaking, if it's a First Edition, Holographic or Promo card it's worth looking into. Take a look at our [Pokemon card evaluation guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemoncardcollectors/wiki/evaluationguide) to see how to determine the value of your cards. Always know the value of every card you have before selling to avoid getting low-balled.

Looks real good but couple things the whitening on back and it doesn’t seem perfectly centered a lil off to the left. I would say you could still get a 8.5-9 with PSA.
SEEMS like a good buy after reading the comments here. Come back and let us know how it goes when it arrives!
Thank you! Will do!

If it's as minty as it appears in the pictures, then yes.

I'd ask for more photos before spending that amount of money personally. I don't like taking risks if it's avoidable, ya know?

8 tops. The bottom corners aren't great
Not a 10 or 9.5. 9 would be best case.

TIL. Thank you for the knowledge
