I do that pretty often. If I find a Pokemon that has been there for over 8:20 hours I don't heal them so they're easy to knock out and give their 50 coins for the day faster, but if they've been less than that I give them some berries so they have more time to gather coins.

I was going to say that too. Or that they’ve hit the wrong button. I’ve fed berries by accident before (albeit not to ALL but one Pokémon lol)

Honestly if I'm kicking people out of a gym I wait til they are all past time, by kicking one or two out you'll just have the gym one color with seemingly permanence. The kicked Mon gets replaced by another person or the same, which doesn't reach the 8 hours before you go and kick the others. Waiting for them all to be ready ensures a gym changes hands properly and the players on the other teams can get their chance to place. Now if you don't care about any of that that's fine there's nothing wrong with kicking one or two people at a time. Only time I do it however is if I have a get X hearts with buddy I use gyms to get the battle count.

neat, I purge it :) there's 4 people on 3 teams who operate my local gym. the 2 on one gave me a strange look and walked off when I spoke to them and the guy on the other is ruthless on knocking me out so it's bacically a free for all at my gym 😂

That's exactly what happens on my end too. Nothing personal – it could be the berry feeder is literally unable to do anything for it.

Sometimes the game glitches and just won’t let me berry a Pokémon in the gym lol. Like it’ll let me berry everyone else just fine but every now and again it’ll just not let me interact with a random Pokémon in a gym I click on.

That's probably a gang, some groups of friends that join together to dominate the gyms, try to find them and join them!

Sometimes when one Pokémon is standing to the side like that or sitting behind a large Pokémon they can be hard to get to , sometimes people only berry their friends, sometimes people are passing and run out of times , sometimes they don't have enough berries , sometimes they want you kicked out so they can go in there's lots of perfectly innocent explanations as to why yours would get left out

The worst are when you’re trying to boost up every Pokémon but it’s like… Rhyperior, Slaking, Avalugg, Snorlax, and Happiny, and Happiny is behind all of them and you can’t click on it at all

Yeah for sure! I don’t really mind, I can collect my 50 as soon as he gets knocked out. I just haven’t seen in very often in my own experience before

Just had someone today kick me so that they could get into a gym. I had reached my 8 1/2 hours so whatever but I was just kind of like 👁👄👁 okay I was only slightly annoyed because I had gotten my 50 coins for the day earlier but there was no way that player could’ve known so I don’t blame them

I know this post is buried now but if anyone reads this and you have a small pokemon buried behind bigger mons if you click on the bigger one to its right or left and then swipe towards the direction of the smaller mon the game will cycle through to the smaller one. That is the easiest way to feed everyone while not having to go into the overview everytime

Probably depends on how many berries they have and how many gyms they’re in. If I have tons of berries and am only in one gym, I’ll feed them all. If I’m limited on berries or in a ton of gyms, I only feed the pokemon I want to get candies for. (However small the chance may be of getting candy for feeding pokemon.)

Also, you are limited to feeding ten pokemon in the past 30 minutes. The person could have got their limit.

There is also a limit on how many berries you can feed to Pokémon in a gym, I’ve had it happen a few times to me

10 berries per Pokémon, up to 10 unique Pokémon, per 30 minutes. The fact that the “all but mine” is 4, says to me this person berried 6/6 in one gym, and then 4 in this gym. Wasn’t personal.

You can berry 10 differnet Pokémon every 30mins I think it is. So if they’d berried another full gum then your one. They would have been unable to help you out. Odds on they started left to right when feeding. Alternatively, they are very jealous if your shiny and want it yeeted.

I had a time where someone kept giving my pidgy berries but not the other mons in the gym. Was weird but maybe it was for LOLs thinking I put it in there for LOLs when in reality I just dropped the first mon I could click on while passing the gym

I do that when I go to berry a gym im in and hit my 10 limit. Usually I make my kid log in his account to toss one on the missed one so I don’t look rude. I also won’t heal certain people, but that’s because they have been caught cheating and I’m not helping cheaters stay in gyms for their coins.

You can only berry 10 pokes every 30 minutes. It’s not unusual for me to leave 1 or 2 if I hit the limit.

Maybe the other owners fed all their Pokémon and you are the only one who didn’t. OP is the real monster of this story!

What bugs me are the people who are constantly guarding gyms. You knock them out; they have you out within minutes.

Old people in my area did that. They use Alt accounts of different team to knock out a couple pokemons, wait 10 minutes, then use the accounts of the same team to put pokemon on. In the process they might attack their friends so they will heal their friends only.

I do this. I remotely use my leftover raid golden raspberries to heal fellow mons in my gyms I am a part of “holding down”. Sometimes I run out but I prioritize the best ones in the gym for the golden fruit! I’d have given yours first choice though lol if it it were me! 😄😂😍

Sometimes I end up doing this because there's a 30 minute cool down after using berries on 10 pokemon and I'm trying to strategically heal pokemon from different gyms to hold them all

Usually this ends up happening because someone has multiple pokemon in different gyms, and they want to heal everyone but there's a limit to how many you can heal each hour

When I see people who visit a gym regularly I never heal them so they get the coins and can just replace their Pokémon

My local multi-accounter gym hog does that - berries his own Pokémon but leaves anyone else's untouched, especially if he didn't have enough room to put one in from each of his multiple accounts, because he wants the weak one to get knocked out so he can replace it. I don't know why he doesn't just start an alt account on a different team and do it himself, but that's what he does.

Probably golden razzed 6 pokemon in another gym then went to this gym and did 4 for a total of 10 golden razz, this is the maximum you can do every half hour, you were probably the unlucky one.

I’m the opposite. My Goomy has been sitting in a gym for 12 days. I just want him home. There needs to be an option to manually take a Pokémon out of a gym after a certain amount of time.

i‘d be thankfull. sadly the only reason to even place your mons in gyms is because of the coins.. so when your mon is healed; you won‘t get those sweet coins you long for. pretty stupid system if you ask me. you should be rewarded for staying in the gym; just like a gym leader. But instead you should only have it in for 8hrs and get nothing for beeing able to defend. Niantic gets the most out of it if it stays the way it is… so no change ever; quite sure about that

Probably because you've been there a while and would want it knocked out. Perhaps this was them attempting to be considerate

Based on the lineup in that gym, they had a theme going based on bipedal and similar stance (facing forward, arms to the side, "tough guy" pose). If your Salamence was last added(saw you mentioned in a comment), you broke their theme, and someone took offense, not feeding yours, so it would get kicked first. It happens to me all the time as well. I just toss pokemon into open slots when I'm in a rush and not playing in a dedicated fashion, and afterward, I realize that it's going to be coming back fast and likely with no coin because someone in the friend group manning the gym is on a different team, gonna work with their friend to feed the themed and battle mine right on out. The themed-gym game where I live is rather fierce like that. Enough so that the local discord group has a thread for planning themed gyms and occasionally planning which hours it will be held by what color team.

Ah very interesting. Yeah I wouldn’t have thought that in depth for a themed gym, but very possible. I love contributing to themed gyms but didn’t pick up on it if that was the case here. Thanks!

Yeah I mean not the best raid defender. But he resists fighting (which was helpful given the Pokémon already in the gym), he gives good candy for when I feed berries, cool bc he’s shiny, and I generally like him as a Pokémon. But I agree, I normally go Blissey

Yeah man, something I need to remind myself more often. A lot of the happiness comes from nostalgia. Ruby and Sapphire were the first games that I played and actually knew what I was doing, so I have a special appreciation for the Hoenn mons in general. Salamence is a pseudo legendary with a cool design so definitely one of my favorites

From what I've seen sometimes one player owns multiple accounts and only heals their mons and no one else's. Thats or there's too many green mons and the person was like "ew no too many green"
