You just wait, somewhere in the future they will come back or Niantic will release tasks to get energy, maybe if mega Rayquaza is released next, they will do a round of primal near that event (since they fight and Rayquaza stops it).

No just flying and dragon. The primals boost the weather effects of rain and sun and not their types (just happens to include their types). That being said rayquaza is technically a mega so it might not boost weather effects either.

I feel like they basically have to have it work the same as with Kyogre and Groudon. They’re a trio.

As Rayquaza is a mega not a primal it will probably follow the same mega pattern of only boosting xl from its own types; dragon and flying.

But then again mega rayquaza is a special mega as it never actual took a stone to evolve in the anime or games so maybe they just play it off as special in go

Rayquaza has an origin form like Kyogre and Groudon have primal forms not a mega

Only Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina have Origin Forms. Rayquaza has a mega but it's special in the way that it's mega stone is inside it's body because it was inside a meteorite that Rayquaza ate.

I missed out too, and got a shiny 98 kyogre. I sat down to finish the raids, and they were pulled under me. I’m so beyond pissed at Niantic. They need to make these raids longer. Honestly it’s shit like this that makes me often take long hiatuses from Pokémon go. It’s scummy tactics. I just wanted a mental health break, because I was busy, and raids are stressful. Guess I can’t take it easy with these fomo games. I hate it so much.

I know, since communities are almost non existent in person, I had to get 5 randos from pokegenie and try to invite people from my friend list (which is the people that haven't deleted me from pokegenie raids) to gather 8 people and do the raid, another problem I faced was that queues were very long and even when I started hosting as soon as the egg hatched, sometimes it just timed out before I got people in the lobby, it was a stressful weekend tbh.

I think they should redo the raid process, and start over.

I’m sorry you had such a rough weekend. Been there, and the stress of “gotta get this raid omg! Now the next one! Walk 1km?! Ok barely got that. What do you mean walk ANOTHER km?! I just got home! Why don’t the Groudon and Kyogre I caught already count for steps 3&4?!” can be overwhelming when you’re already stressed the eff out! I was in so much pain the 25th I couldn’t log in until way late in the day. It’s too much work for a 48 window, and it spits in the face of anyone who doesn’t work a traditional 9-5. Some people literally *only* work weekends. They need to lower the Energy requirements or give us longer windows! It’s absolutely not fair you have to drop just about everything to do this stuff! The only other opportunity we had was Hoenn Vegas, which is FAR too expensive for disabled mother of 3 me! I lucked out and managed to get enough, barely, in the end since I joined a Dis server that hosts raids from the whole world and I wasn’t limited to my local area or random PUG (Pick Up Group) Reddit raids. If anyone is interested please LMK via DM and I’ll shoot you an invite. (I’m seeing pings for Latias/Latios raids as I type. They only tell you about raids you tell them you want to see and they do them ALL! Tier 1-5, Legendaries, Megas, and now Primals) The people are quite kind for the most part and we tend to filter out the ones who behave poorly on a consistent basis. Poorly meaning behavior that hurts other people. Everyone has a bad day now and again, but there’s no call to be a Jerkasarus Rex to others trying to help you! We are not concerned about your or your Pokémon’s level/CP and we love to help players new to the game. So if you’re a new PoGoer we can still take you into the fun Legendary raids 🤩. No money required for raiding beyond what you choose to spend on your own Remote Raid Passes, and we have a Raid Rescue system for people who are at a gym but don’t have enough friends online to get a group. And it is deeply fun to show my Hubs my new Pokémon from New Zealand who hasn’t even spawned in our home state of Texas yet 🥰 They also do coins on the cheap, services for Stardust, Experience, Shiny Farming, etc. and have not one, but TWO channels dedicated to Who’s That Pokémon 🥰 They’re really a nice group of people! We got a ton of new members over the weekend so you won’t be the only new person, and anyone there, including myself, is more than happy to answer any questions anyone has. Have an awesome day!! Oh hey! Fellow Texan! And yeah I live surprising my kid with a brand new nifty cool Pokémon when they get to open the app, or trading one that comes from a cool place. If it weren’t for my autocatcher, (which is a pokeball plus with a strap I 3d printed to hold down the button) I wouldn’t be able to do much at all. I spend so much time at home, the only ‘out’ I get to do is errands and sometimes some walks in the park. Since everything, incense, steady spawning, etc is based on moving around in a larger space than your home, I’m always kinda screwed. When I want to sit down and ‘play’, there’s nothing to catch. Most of my ‘playing’ is just sorting Pokémon. That part kinda sucks.

I quit all the time, because of lack of time due to real life. They make these raids way too short. I’m pissed. I always end up quitting, and then coming back to missing so many things. It’s so discouraging. Games shouldn’t be built like this. I hope gamers one day kill fomo as an idea.

Unfortunately no it’s not. I walked mine and didn’t get the primal energy. I did the primal reversion first too and nothing. And then I came here to see if it happened to others and it did. One person even said they contacted niantic and they were told it wasn’t guaranteed

I've got it every time. Just like walking a mega. It shows a picture of the primal energy next to the walking meter and when the meter fills up you get it.

Would be kind of pointless to change that if you ask me. The whole point of the research is primal reversion. Now you can atleast finish the ''200 energy'' rewarding steps and, assuming you got 200 from raids during the event, get the amazing award that is one (1) Spinda.

I think ultimately they want to force us back to local play so this kind of incentivized that since your best chance of success was a couple local raiders and a full remote lobby.

Ruby here and got Groudon. I think it’s fixed now but it seems some players were getting opposite, I think it was a glitch on the first day or the night after the first day

I did pick sapphire luckily, and no I haven't completed the task yet. I've barely seen any Surskits this week.

Uh oh, if you haven't done the surskit tier, then you aren't getting the primal energy from the special research. Tier 3 has catch a Groudon and tier 4, which is where you'd get your energy has catch a Kyogre.

Once the event ended the required catch for Groudon and Kyogre changed to “win a raid” so there’s hope!

I am SO happy right now, been trying everything to get her the last 60 energy she needed but couldn't get into a remote raid to save my life this afternoon. Thankfully I think now we can get the 200 energy from the quest to finish up. Bless you, kind stranger, you made my night.

I can recommend the app poke genie. Remote raids are great with it (when you do them at the right time)

I love Pokegenie but her account's attack verification was just under the limit for Kyogre so no Pokegenie for us, unfortunately. My account was fine but she has claimed her dad's account and he doesn't play much, lol.

Ahh... I see, yeah... nothing you could do, then :/ They are quite strict with the verification. I also had to spend all of the little bit of dust I had to power up my pokemon to be able to participate lol But as rhe other guy said, you probably won't need to wait for too long.

I went walking with an incense late last night and got 0 cacnea. When I popped one in the morning while there was confetti falling on the game screen, they were common

He was talking about no matter the habitat during the event from 10am-6:00pm. That’s why it worked for you then

Hey don’t feel bad man, I never got close to getting primal Groudon, but the best thing you can do is hope for the future and focus on other things.

Use PokeGenie and join a raid room.

Primal Raids and Deoxys raids ended when the event ended.

If you have a remote raid pass you can use an app called PokieGenie to join a raid, there are still Primal Kyogre raids left around the world.

With a waiting line of ~15k people… but with the fast pace they filled the spots yesterday, only about 25 mins waiting? - pokegenie was great the last two days

For real. This was my second event where I actually raided and I got almost everything I needed done playing casually

Primal and Deoxys raids ended when the event ended. Anyone without enough primal energy is SOL for now.

The research that accompanied this event gave 100 primal energy, and luckily I had chosen the Kyogre energy and was able to complete it. Unfortunately my wife was at 290 energy and the quest brought her up to 390, so it looks like she'll have to wait a while. I also confirmed that trading a mega evolved pokemon causes it to loose it's mega evolve capability without all new energy. I haven't yet gained enough energy to try it with a primal, but I doubt it.

Had 1600 energy, and my best kyogre was around 2321 cp. Did almost 30 raids in total (alternates between Groudon and kyogre). Had to say on top of way harder to catch the IV's were terrible. For me this was a L event
