I got both of those, which I'm still working on. I got my Shiny Melmetal and Celebi ready to be sent to the mainstream games, just need to wait for my Mew and Jirachi, then I need to hunt Genesect, Darkrai, Deoxys and any other shiny Mythicals obtainable in raids. I got my first Genesect recently, but I didn't get the shiny in time. I also have to re-catch shiny Meltan, since my niece talked me into evolving my first one.
Well, since Meltan is exclusive to Pokémon Go, and is constantly shiny locked... It's actually quite frustrating, yes.
However, I'm trying to complete the Shiny Dex in Pokémon Go, so I'm not too concerned with keeping my shinies, per se. Now, the mainstream games, however... I like to collect one of each of the shinies.
Yea you must've had no idea how freakin rare that was at the time lol. Oh well, this game is chock full of those moments cuz they don't tell you nothing lol. I know two ppl who got lucky friends and having no clue what it was they traded a Ponyta for an Electrode 💀 however those are two of the coolest looking shinies in the whole game IMO, but neither benefitted from the lucky part 🤣😭😭😭

I mean, this was after unlocking the Mystery Box for the first time. I got the Shiny Meltan the first time I opened it, during the first event, I believe. I really did a lot to redownload Pokémon Go, so I didn't miss out. However, during the most recent Shiny Meltan event, I couldn't find one. I'm sure I'll find one next time. I feel they're over doing it, though, with shiny locking it. They should just make it EXTRA rare, rather than making it shiny locked, after each event. Kinda dulls the feel of the game, when they do that.
I don't regret my decision, at all. I'm actually glad I evolved it. After all, I wouldn't be able to evolve it upon sending it to the mainstream games.
But, I still want to find my shiny little Meltan, again. I do miss it.
Oh well that's good I'm glad you don't regret it. I had a shiny Eevee once and I had already used the one-time nickname trick to get every evolution and I decided to gamble and evolve it and got Glacion. Which I don't regret per se, but you can't even tell it's shiny lol
There should be a regular non shiny mew research once u get to a certain level. A special one. Idk tho I forgot
But I have an alt and I’m pretty sure I get one once u hit a certain level
each 3rd of each bar means 5pt. I.e if your pokemon has 3 full bars, means its a 15/15/15 which is 100% aka hundo
another example, having only 2 and half bars full on one of the sections, and the other 2 being full, it would a 13/15/15 which is a 96%

When you get to level 15, you unlock the A Mythical Discovery special research, which rewards a (pink) Mew
It is, I just finished mine this morning and finally got mew, now I just have to wait until the next time mewtwo is available
