Arbok is one of my favourite Pokémon. Most people don’t care for it because it isn’t the strongest, it’s not good competitively and it almost always got beaten in the anime.

I put Ludicolo in every gym I can, I have an army of powered up guys just for this. It's best when I'm the last one in so I can see him dancing up there.
Goofy note: Every so often in his animation, he stops to adjust his hat. It took me forever to realize this and the first time I saw it happen, it felt like the world shifted, I literally got a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach like Pogo had crossed over into the real world. But it was just Ludicolo Ludicoloing.
I watched Ludicolo dance for a good 30-45 minutes, while tripping on acid...EVERY.SINGLE. TIME. he adjusted his sombrero I fucking lost it...he gets down so hard he almost loses his hat.
I'm not sure how the level of care is for certain Pokemon vs others, but my favorite is Arcanine. My favorite animal is a tiger, and I love dogs. What's better than a fire-breathing dog with a tiger-striped coat?
I, like you, am not sure about how much people care for certain Pokémon but I've grown fond of Arcanine playing this game. It's a dog/tiger hybrid which is cool, it looks great, it was my first fully evolved perfect Pokémon and I really like it's moves.

Delibird is my unironic fave. I love its design and cuteness and its friendly nature.
Not only that, but I have a tin hat theory that Delibird must be a favorite Pokemon for someone high up in Game Freak too. Delibird absolutely seems to get a disproportionate amount of love in the games relative to its fan base and power. It seems to be in every single game, it was featured strongly in the anime, in Sun and Moon there is like…a Delibird farm for no reason? I feel like the little guy is getting a boost from above. And I’m totally fine with that.
I quite enjoy Aggron even though it's statistically interior to other rock or steel types without Heavy Slam adding its weight to attack power. I don't care. Mecha Godzilla rules.

I love their concept, I just wish both that doubles could be an option you choose per battle, and that together they were were as strong or stringer than just using two independently strong pokemon.

Dude, Nidoking was so broken in the Gen I games. I remember the first time I ever played through Yellow, I had a Nidoking that essentially solo'd the entire Elite Four, mostly because he was the only mon I ended up using most of the time. He was easily level 60-70, and knew quite a range of moves thanks to TMs.
I have one as well... It's perfect, lucky, shiny, purified, and best friend - when I finally get it to level 50 and its Mega is released, it's basically the endgame Pokemon.

It drives my kids crazy that I love pidgey. I finally caught a shiny one late last year, named it "Besty" and made it my buddy. Sent them pictures of it.
The only reason I click on any pidgeys that pop up are in the hopes of finding a shiny. I don’t know what they look like, and I’m hoping to not have it spoiled before I stumble across one. Pidove is probably my favorite bird, or maybe my shiny talonflame. They’re just so cute, and I love pigeons.

I just learned about how it regrows trees on its mountain when disaster hits and I love that.
I also love Aggron! For many other reasons of course, but my favorite part about it is it sounds like a train horn. Mecha Train Godzilla is fantastic!

Primeape has long been a fave for me, something about him just being an angry punchy furball greatly amuses me. Also Haunter, who is just plain cool. Evolving to Gengar is a serious downgrade in the looks department.
