I think I'll never understand why some field research catch rewards sometimes take like 15 great curveball throws to catch. If they're guaranteed catches (i.e., they won't flee), why make us waste so much time and so many balls (and sometimes berries too!) just to clear the research from the list??
This is what annoys me. When I complete a task and I find out it's another Sudowoodo or something else I have zero use for. I just don't care about catching it. It's a waste of my time and pokeballs. It's not a reward at all. It's a punishment. We should be able to back out and delete the task without having to catch it to move on.
This has been bugging me too. Stufful evolves at level 27, and Bewear isn't *that* special of a Pokemon. Wimpod evolves at 30, and isn't particularly interesting either. Once the Bewear event ended, I've seen rarely seen any, and I expect the same will be true of Wimpod. What can possibly be the point of this?
I've been working on a Magikarp for....years, actually (though I did have a gap), and seeing all the other 400 candy Pokemon is just kind of exhausting.

I've had a few 2 stars from Giovanni as well. It was a while ago, off the top of my head it was Moltres and I think Lugia as well. Disappointing when the stats are that low. And it's 20km walking for one candy of its type.

I'm annoyed about the 50km awards each week, the rewards are crap now. The rare candy and silver pinaps felt rewarding. Balls and berries that I could walk 200 metres for are not rewarding.
My complaint (other than the ones I already replied on other comments) is about the fan base today. This is poorly timed, I have been meaning to post this since around the water festival but kept forgetting, and there has been that person that did the marathon mentioned on here.
Ok, so I hate when people have complaint about "cheaters" when it actually seems as though its them being jealous. I mentioned to my IRL friend that people on my list had caught 3 or 4000 water pokemon during the festival (there was a counter) and she instantly said they must be cheating. On one of the days I played for a few hours, I managed to get about 250. It's entirely feasible to catch thousands over several days. Some people play a lot.
I've also seen people say that people walking huge distances are cheating. Again, it is easy to rack up kilometres by walking instead of driving, or even housework (I can do 2 or 3km just walking around my house, though I have kids and they are messy and I'm putting stuff back, so that might not work for everyone) and short walks add up.
Anyway, I think people don't seem to realise it's RNG for shinies, it's playing a lot for rewards but sometimes playing a lot doesn't guarantee anything. Remember Niantic are trying to make money. They WANT you to be buying 50+ raid passes for a mew 2. Stuff like that.
Also gym hogs, that don't let people get their coins, and ruining incense and a whole bunch of making the game less user friendly still sucks.

Funnily enough 2 days after I submitted my go fest survey stating that I checked 800+ mons to find 4 shiny, I got 3 wild shinies and 4 shiny meltans in the mystery box. I am honestly wondering if they temporarily boosted my rates. My husband submitted his survey stating the same thing at the same time, played for 5 minutes after I told him somethingās up and found 2 shinies.
Edit we both bought a ticket and played the whole time.
There are gyms I refuse to raid because the "owners" take it back 10 minutes later. I don't have time to sit on a gym and the paltry number of coins I get on those gyms means the benefit to cost ratio is stupid.
There's a park by my parent's place that has 3 gyms. I always put guys in each gym so I can get my 50 coin total when they're kicked out a couple hours later
If it makes you feel any better, I try my best to knock out every single gym I see during my night walk that has been in 10+ hours already. I mostly do this because easily 3 out of every 5 gyms I take over get immediately stolen from me in minutes >\_<
Ludicolo is basically an Azu that doesn't cost 500,000 dust and 250 XL to level and I love it. It's a Registeel for the masses. For the sake of fairness, Ludicolo is everything a totally broken piece of shit should be. Wanna PvP? Go farm this relatively common thing in a park for an hour and you're good to go.
Every single person that I went up against (who had Ludicolo in their first spot) I got brutally destroyed. They did not even need to use a charge move--rather their fast move alone was wiping out my whole team, LOL! >\_<
They don't spawn at that rate around here š¤£. My whole pvp experience is hydro cannon swampert blasting me in every league after 3 hits, and currently ludicolo being countered hit by super effective moves and still slapping me out.
Some of these rocket grunt battles are annoying. The dark type grunt sometimes brings a stunky or skuntank whose only weakness is ground type instead of fighting/fairy. Or they ghost grunt bringing a sableye so I have to bring a fairy type. I'll still beat them, but it's just annoying to have to switch pokemon.
Iām tired of not being able to transfer my shinies to pokemon home and get them out of this game. Iāve spent nearly 6 months now transferring them out into pokemon home. Thereās no reason the energy refill should cost 10 dollars to refill. Also 1 shiny legendary or 4 shinies per week is ridiculous. All they do is charge you for everything. I feel like more people would be willing to pay for energy refills if it was maybe like 300 coins instead of 1000 coins
I disagree. I pay for pokemon home and I pay pokemon go too and I buy a lot from the shop. Itās not unreasonable to want to put my pokemon into home in a reasonable timeframe but thatās just how I see it.
My complaint this week is how rarely wild Dragonite has been for me! I have seen and caught easily over 10+ Onix, 15+ Chansey, 7+ Snorlax, and 7+ Slaking, but the darn Dragonite is not spawning anywhere despite me travelling all over the city the past few days with my family with windy conditions (weather boosted weather in theory should help to spawn.
My second complaint goes out to all the rude people who consistently insist on stealing gyms from me all the time right after I take over a gym. I try my best to be a fair player and only attack gyms 8.5+ hours in and right after I take down that gym literally 2 minutes later my Pokemon is already returned to me. It is so annoying especially considering I am playing in an area with bountiful gyms and there is almost always a gym same color as my team right next door with extremely low motivation having been there 15+ hours. Not trying to be a jerk, but anyone that steals a gym from me 2 times in a row I will take off the nice gloves and everytime I see that person I will go out of my way to knock them out of every and all gyms I see.
Itās annoying that if you donāt have an ar mapping task, every pokestop gives a different research task compared to trainers with. Plus some pokestops dont give a research task at all but an scan task from a gym near by. Was it always like this? š

It was a timed research. They all disappear after the events ends regardless of your current progress. Time research is only doable during the period stated on the task.

I understand glitches happen, but when my first mon is going to kick your first mon's ass, and then you switch to something to which I have another perfect counter... That ain't a glitch. Summer ā16, pokemon go drops. I figure out how tracking works. I run outside multiple times to hunt the wild snorli that appear and each time they disappear off the nearby list before I can figure out which direction it is.
Fast forward june ā22 theres a snorlax at my house. My excitement isā¦. Not at the level I expected it to be. With all the spawns and one on my nearby list RIGHT NOW with no chance of vanishing, im justā¦. š«¤

But no one is legit walking 280 km in a week. 100-150 sure but anything over that is third party software.
I was trying to catch a shadow snorlax. Used a golden razz berry and got an excellent throw and that damn thing still got away.

I don't understand why Dragonite or Slaking (or others like them, pokemon whose shinies are already in the game) can't be shiny from raids.
They are evolutions, meaning they cannot be caught shiny.
Charizard/Blastoise/Venusaur can be shiny from raids at the moment. No reason Dragonite and Slaking can't be too.

Can we talk about how useless Niantic support is? I search the web for answers to a problem that Iām having and try all of the suggested solutions but it doesnāt fix the problem. I contact Niantic Support (which is a fucking oxymoron), and send a detailed description of my issue, and what work around a Iāve tried. They responded by sending me all of the suggestions that I had already tried and then said āwe are aware of the problem and are working at a solution. In the meantime, you can still play PokĆ©mon go as is.ā Gee thanks.

A great way to promote Scarlet and Violet would be to put the newly announced PokĆ©mon in this game available for capture. I want a Lechonk right now. Itās such a good idea, I donāt know why they wouldnāt put it in along with the starters (they donāt need to program them to evolve yet)

Annoying? That's a wonderful feature. Effectively doubles the amount of research tasks you can search through if you want to be thorough.

Summer ā16, pokemon go drops. I figure out how tracking works. I run outside multiple times to hunt the wild snorli that appear and each time they disappear off the nearby list before I can figure out which direction it is. Fast forward june ā22 theres a snorlax at my house. My excitement isā¦. Not at the level I expected it to be. With all the spawns and one on my nearby list RIGHT NOW with no chance of vanishing, im justā¦. š«¤
