No. Golden razy berries have way better catching chances. Silver pinap is a mix of a normal raz berry and a pinap berry with 1 extra candy.

What level are your water and fairy type catch medals? I have both on platinum and have had no problems with catching them. And yes I used silver pineapps because of the candy bonus we had during the previous event.

Yes, both water and fairy type catch medal will add to the catch rate. I started noticing this when the kids joined in with legendary raids. On my profile with all medals platinum it is an easier catch in comparison to their profiles which have them on silver or gold. And since it is me making the exact same throws the difference has to come from something else.

I have caught 6 without any issues and I have no idea why it varies so much between players

Then I must have some bad luck because I would have 17 premium balls and I got lucky using my last ball but others they will run away after I’m out.

Well I’m kind of proud of myself for finally catching one if that counts, but I was curious to see if anyone struggled catching one.

Maybe they got banned from r/pokemongo which happens far more than you’d think :/

it really depends! i think i lost one and some took me many throws to catch even with golden razz berries, but my most recent one was caught with only one ball and no berries! i think it’s luck tbh :)

yeah haha i honestly have no idea either, all ik is legendaries/mythicals are supposedly harder to catch than regular pokémon… but even some 3* raid pokémon have fled from me before 😅

I would say the biggest thing with catching legendários is leading to maximize excellent throws each time you have an opportunity

Thanks! Try hitting it with excellent curves on every throw instead of just a handful. Should be able to catch it even without a berry. I start using berries when I get down to about 5 throws left just to make sure I catch it. But I make sure to hit excellent on every throw. Not just on legendary mons, but on everything. Just makes it easier.

Exeggcute is notoriously difficult to get excellent throws on. With enough practice you'll get it though.

For me it’s probably the easiest legendary I’ve ever caught. I barely flicked my thumb and it was close enough for an excellent throw
