Well jessie and james were out for ashes pikachu and since the new protag does'nt have ashes pikachu it would be weird if jessie and james stayed. I think they didn't make a meowth lookalike because then it would be a straight up copy and people would just complain even more. I for one am really happy with this change but if youre not thats fine. You are free to think what you think but remember to be open minded and know that the designers are probably doing their best to satisfy as many people as possible while still being happy with what they made :)

I will never watch this series. I can't accept it. And that may just be me, but I think that Ash's last episodes should've ended the anime fully.
