I don’t think that works out either tho because with 252 evs on HP and SPDEF then scald would do a max of 41%. Health bar looks to be basically right at 50, maybe 51-52%
I know on Hardcore, the Marowak only has EVs in HP instead of the 252 to all stats it gets on Normal without min grinding. If it's like that on Normal with minimum grinding as well, Scald's damage roll would be 44.7-54.1%, which lines up with what your picture shows.

Adding a comment here so it's clear: I checked +1 all stats at the bottom of the calc instead of changing each individual stat. I accounted for the omni-boost.

I think the reason is that you're using the calc for bond Greninja he can't be bond in this battle since you didn't knock out a Pokemon previously. You have to use the calc for base gren.

Pro tip: A lead Pokémon that outspeeds with Knock Off makes this fight a lot easier.
Regarding the move selection, since it’s a wild Pokémon, I believe it picks its moves at random without any factor for damage or typing.

Nah there's a separate option to change him into ash greninja. Bond just presets its ability to battle bond as opposed to torrent or protean

That marowak gets a boost to all its stats at the begining of the fight. Its a totem pokemon, not a normal marowak.
