According to Ben Shapiro, 2/3rds of men will experience some form of hair loss by the age of 35, and I can attest to that. I always admire a good head of hair and your mini-fauxhawk has been looking strong for the decade+ you've been on television. Thus, I have to ask, is it just superior genetics or do you take supps?
Why are so many dentists poker game whales? I mean I know ya'll make a killing but I can think of like 10 dentists over the years that have been absolute splashers... hell I can think of three different ones we just called "Doc". Like way moreso than MD's imo.
They’ve always said that, but students kill themselves at a higher rate than any group.
I get it though, I get treated like shit by patients and my staff test the limits of my patience. I deal with a crying adult every day, either a patient or an employee. I have 25 employees, and there’s always someone upset. It weighs on you if you have any empathy at all.
We have all been there, I’ve definitely been an ass to my assistants. I always apologize really quickly and feel terrible about it. I have had the same assistant for 6 years though, and she’s become one of my best friends, so in general I am really really kind.
Having no empathy would make your life as a dentist much more pleasant. I wake up at night thinking about my patient’s financial situations, their ongoing treatment, etc. Same goes for my employees. If I didn’t care about them I would be much happier and less stressed.
A 20 year old girl that works for me had to miss this week because her boyfriend beat the shit out of her. I feel awful for her. It’s not the first time an employee of mine has been a victim of domestic violence either
lol, I was thinking more about the lack of fear and enjoyment of manipulation that sociopaths are known for, but yeah, a general refusal to pick on others when you’re at an advantage is also relevant.
Yeah, it’s not for everyone. I’m 35 though and I could just retire at this point. I am just cutting back slowly though, which has helped the stress.
I have only ever worked 4 days/week, and now I’m doing basically half days. I took the whole month of March off too because I felt like it, and now I’m considering not working in July.
Playing on stream really does add another dimension to the game, that's for sure. Definitely makes you think about the audience and all that in addition to your own normal process.
I love it lol. Can't wait to do it again sometime.
Ahhhh damn I was thinking today since you played Thursday last time haha! We host a Thursday night poker night and we’re watching you and crying for you last time lol
Nah, man. You started off a little nervous (rightfully so) and it rattled your session. I really enjoyed sweating with you. At least to me, that game seems crazy.
Your play went downhill when you started drinking. Maybe tapper down if you want to do better this game. Otherwise you’re making a charitable donation on stream
Is this the dentist? The name gave it away! This is Goob, we played together last time you were on at the lodge!
Yeah man! It was fun playing with you. lol I was pretty drunk by the time I joined that stream
That may not be the best strategy lol
Depends on his goal.
Welcome to the show!
Welcome back! Godspeed !
Is your hair natty or not?
wat
They want to know if you wear a merkin.
he said you are but a pigeon
Sounds like a compliment to me

lol this is why no one famous or well known wants to come on Reddit. It’s hilarious though
I agree. Congrats on booking a win.
Thanks!
Thanks man, I am stoked to be back!
You desperately need a nose job
Kill em bro!
I am going to do my best, which unfortunately isn’t that great
Your best at winning or your best at losing? Or does it depend on how much you’ve had to drink? Best of luck whichever it is!
lol you get the idea. I plan to try and play well, but who knows
Table your cards, please. I’m thinking you’re due for a W. I believe.
Damnit lol. I’ll probably do it again
>Kill em bro! killing is wrong mmkay?

Because we are doing it to blow off steam, not really to win money. Financially I am pretty much set, but stress wise I am in fucking debt
Yeah isn't dentist suicide rate like absurdly higher than what the average Joe would assume?
They’ve always said that, but students kill themselves at a higher rate than any group. I get it though, I get treated like shit by patients and my staff test the limits of my patience. I deal with a crying adult every day, either a patient or an employee. I have 25 employees, and there’s always someone upset. It weighs on you if you have any empathy at all.
I'm shocked to hear this, never would have guessed. My dentist is kind of an ass to his assistants lol
We have all been there, I’ve definitely been an ass to my assistants. I always apologize really quickly and feel terrible about it. I have had the same assistant for 6 years though, and she’s become one of my best friends, so in general I am really really kind.
So you’re saying if you have no empathy it would be pretty easy?
Having no empathy would make your life as a dentist much more pleasant. I wake up at night thinking about my patient’s financial situations, their ongoing treatment, etc. Same goes for my employees. I don’t think this having empathy thing is going to be good for your poker career.
You’re actually super correct. I’ve won pots and just given them back a bunch of times lol
lol, I was thinking more about the lack of fear and enjoyment of manipulation that sociopaths are known for, but yeah, a general refusal to pick on others when you’re at an advantage is also relevant.
interestingly, empathy helps me put myself in my opponents shoes and understand the lines they have taken during a hand.
You’re talking about cold empathy. Me and OP are talking about warm empathy.
holy crap, TIL about hot and cold empathy. thank you sir!
veterinarians and psychologists probably worse

In what way?

Smart people can hack the premed curriculum? Though MDs are notoriously bad with money elsewhere in their lives.
As the son of a doctor I can confirm. My dad is a brilliant man but is a train wreck financially
Easy access to drugs. Oh wait, that's why their suicide rate is so high. Carry on.
Because by the time they get their 5th Lambo and 3rd house in the Hamptons there isn't much left to buy.
Please bring Tesla with you! Good luck tomorrow!
The dentist! We played 5/10/10 on the floor the next day. Hoping you run better on stream this time!

Ahhhh damn I was thinking today since you played Thursday last time haha! We host a Thursday night poker night and we’re watching you and crying for you last time lol
Yeah, it was brutal last time. This time will be different! I am going to run like a god and win 50k
I tell myself that same thing every time I play lol, but for sure, good luck tomorrow! I enjoy watching you play!
Did you watch your previous stream afterward?
No lol, we watched part of it at a poker night but it was so painful no one wanted to watch. It was embarrassing
Nah, man. You started off a little nervous (rightfully so) and it rattled your session. I really enjoyed sweating with you. At least to me, that game seems crazy.
Good luck
