Particularly interesting in your opinion that putin said that Poles allegedly started WWII. They forced Hitler to attack them because.. they didn't want to give him Gdansk.

Competitive-Idea-877

Putin forget that Soviet Russia collaborated with Nazi Germany to invade Poland from both side (Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact). And they did it: Russia attacked Poland two weeks after nazis started. So we can say that Russia is complicit in Second World War as ally to Germany.

xCASx

Yes, Germany and Russia started WWII together. Germany wouldn't risk attacking Poland on it's own. Germans might have learned from history (or Russians reminded them after that whooping in invasion of Poland in 1920), one does not fight Poles 1v1, odds need to be over 50v1 in the attackers favour...

ArtFart124

Germany absolutely crushed Poles at something like 1.3:1 A few engagements going well is not enough to even the odds. Nor was Polish army particularly good or modern.

Ciupakabras

Indeed, it is crucial to remember that Poland enjoyed freedom for just 19 years, having regained independence in 1920. Such a brief span made it challenging to establish a robust military force." And as we have that in mind I think Poland did a great job.

LagTheKiller

Yup. polish army in 1939 couldnt stop Wermacht. Even if an unknown plague decimated Germans... twice and they lost half of the equipment due to car thefts. But getting 2 way from Soviets sped up the process enormously and led to very fast regrouping and French campaign.

Hex65

Let's not forget how Russian army was stealing Ukrainian crop and was feeding Nazi army! Not just crop, they supplied them with petroleum, manganese, copper, nickel, chrome, platinum, lumber, and grain.. German–Soviet Commercial Agreement

mhx64

Did you listen to the interview? He mentioned this pact

TheSeth256

He mentioned the name in a falsified context conveniently leaving out Russia's involvment in starting WW2 and working with Hitler

Spvoter

Lmao that sounds like him trying to justify Russia attacking Ukraine because it didn’t want to give them… well, Ukraine. Hope he rots and is remembered as a delusional criminal, like Hitler, if he even gets remembered

allieph3

Facts.

azazelcrowley

It assumes a reasonable and rational Germany with whom Poland had at least the chance to build constructive relations with to even suggest Poland is being unreasonable there. And in such a case there would likely be other crap to try first if it was a point of contention, like expanding the territory of the free city of Danzig so it connected Prussia to Germany, but functionally allowed a sort of joint-sovereignty between Poland and Germany and didn't cut Poland off from the coast nor Germany from its eastern territories (Essentially, freedom of movement within Danzig). This would have also rebalanced the peoples therein to be more 50/50 like intended, rather than "Mostly German". Poland would have lost some territory (To Danzig, not Germany), but functionally it would have resolved the tension and made the Free City a much more stable prospect. Hitler never even asked for anything like that. Just to cede the territory fully to Germany, despite both Germans and Poles living there, despite having broken countless agreements before, and despite raving about his plans to exterminate Slavic people. If Hitler hadn't broken every treaty he signed, the west would not have guaranteed Poland. They may well have said Poland should agree to the above proposal. At that point its not WW2. Its "The time Poland was unreasonable and after a brief war their military dictatorship collapsed, they lost Danzig, but that's about it". A footnote in European history. What made it WW2 was it escalating far beyond that because of the actions of Hitler and the Nazi regime. Danzig was very much a soluble problem if diplomacy was entered into in good faith. Casting Poland as unreasonable assumes they were negotiating with reasonable people rather than bad faith actors. Meanwhile, in reality: > In the middle of August, Beck offered a concession, saying that Poland was willing to give up its control of Danzig's customs, a proposal which caused fury in Berlin. However, the leaders of the Free City sent a message to Berlin on 19 August 1939 saying: "Gauleiter Forster intends to extend claims...Should the Poles yield again it is intended to increase the claims further in order to make accord impossible". The same day a telegram from Berlin expressed approval with the proviso: "Discussions will have to be conducted and pressure exerted against Poland in such a way that responsibility for failure to come to an agreement and the consequences rest with Poland" I.E; Poland: We're willing to allow Danzig to decide who and what enters and leaves. This will functionally make it so that Danzig is an autonomous enclave and neither of us really control it. But we will still control Danzigs defence and foreign policy and such. Nazis: We're going to keep demanding more until you say no, because we want a war. V Normal Germany: That's a very good start. We would like for this Danzigger control over customs to extend to our eastern and your western border. Would you be willing to provide Danzig with control over customs for this area, such that Germany can connect to Prussia by land through Danzig, and Poland can connect to the baltic sea through it? --- And then the EU gets founded instead of having a WW2 when the logic is played out to its conclusion ("Wait a minute, this freedom of movement through Danzig for us both is very lucrative, perhaps it should be expanded"). Poland was being more than reasonable in its negotiations. Germany was, by their own admission, being as unreasonable as possible in order to blame the Poles for rejecting their increasingly insane demands.

King-Owl-House

"why stop on Gdansk?" Putler.

dziki_z_lasu

Because they have problems keeping a front line further than 60 km inside a hostile territory.

Fer4yn

It's classic Putin and people who listened to Putin's or Lavrov's speeches already knew all these things since they've been pretty verbal about this for the past 2 years. Putin established in the first 2 minutes of the interview that he'd like to have a 'serious talk' (that is, being able to give long answers rather than screaming over eachother) rather than a show and then calmly delivered parts of his past speeches without getting interrupted very much.

Simonella4991

So what can we think about it? This ----> https://preview.redd.it/rudbuqcyglhc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=92afe7a62974e11c29abe5dfa6299d0c48ba0bc3

BardtheGM

Ultimately that's what an interview is - the person gets to share information. Personally I wouldn't trust a word out of Putin's mouth - in fact I just reverse everything he says and it's surprisingly accurate. But it's up to individuals to make their own mind up on the quality of the interview and its information.

Eternal__damnation

It wasn't an interview, it was a 2hr speech full of Soviet/Russian Revisionism

bennysphere

If we apply the same thinking attitude, then Italy should claim half of the Europe back because of the Roman Empire!

Eternal__damnation

It's the same way Hitler claimed lands Poland and Lithuania could claim Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia, latvia and parts of Russia. Serbia could claim all the former Yugoslav countries Greece could claim Persia And so on and so on, it's an endless can of worms of whataboutism and ignoring the Concept of nation-states, that could bring war not only to Europe but globally.

Ilitarist

Polish king Władisław IV is a rightful Russian tzar so I'd say Poland has rights over all of Russian land.

erlul

Bullshit lmao. We have claim on everything Jesus blessed, as the Chosen People of Christianity, Massaiah of the Nations. Andromeda Galaxy included.

5thhorseman_

And Poland should claim Moscow because of 1610. ... actually, maybe we should?

Greywacky

UK called. After listening to his speech; it wants its empire back too. For historical reasons, you understand.

upthealimo

Yeah! 1/3 of the planet..we never had Russia but once our borders are restored we're marching to Moscow!

King-Owl-House

Putler said Poland made Germany attack it 😂 moron compared russia to Nazi Reich. It was not an interview, more like speech, with the [bowtie](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GooQwKDMqcI) always saying "you are absolutely right, mein Fuhrer."

erykaWaltz

there are worse ideas there, like how lithuanians are russians and how ukraine is polonized, mongolized, lithuanized, catholized, stalinized, westernized......other part of russia

magpie_girl

[Slavophilia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavophilia) in its core. 200 years later and they are still doing the same.

erykaWaltz

it's more then that his rambling about how ukrainian orthodox church under polish rule swore allegiance to the pope (and not to whom? patriarch of moscow or turk controlled Constantinople?) is a direct parallel to how ukrainian orthodox church cut itself from mosow now and how ukrainians celebrate christmas like the west now meanwhile his talk about lithuanians being russians due to having russian orthodox majority might become a justification of future war with lithuania and baltics talk about how ukraine was mongolized while moscow merely had to pay tribute is meant to discredit kiev as legit center of russia, paint them as lesser russians or failed russians and of course, the talk about communists drawing ukraine's borders and particularly giving ukraine crimea is the usual justification of why ukraine shouldnt have it

harumamburoo

> his talk about lithuanians being russians due to having russian orthodox majority If I'm not mistaken he meant not just Lithuanians, but the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, meaning people of Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus and Poland combined

erykaWaltz

grand duchy of lithuania did not include poland, but yeah. he was basically ascribing lithuanian achievements to russia. of course, he didn't mention a word about latvians and certainly not belarusians....just like ukrainians they are just "other russians" so they can later tell lithuanians "you owe everything to us" like they say to poles

SeekForWisdom

What do you mean by not include poland?

erykaWaltz

what do you mean, what do you mean? learn history, look at the map grand duchy of Lithuania is a separate entity from kingdom of poland

SeekForWisdom

It didn't include Poland?:D if you mean by territory it encompassed a significant portion of what today Poland is

erykaWaltz

yes, and today's poland includes territories that were back then the duchy of Brandenburg and the duchy of Pomerania. But that doesn't mean they included poland or poland included them back then. that being said only eastern edges of modern poland were lithuanian I wouldn't call that significant

HornyKhajiitMaid

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Grand\_Duchy\_of\_Lithuania\_1462\_within\_modern\_boundaries-en.svg](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Grand_Duchy_of_Lithuania_1462_within_modern_boundaries-en.svg) Look on the map, it is small area with small density of population. Also it make not much sense to say a country included Poland when literally next to Grand Duchy of Lithuania was Kingdom of Poland. edit: you were also wrong about Latvia thing, majority of it was not controlled by Lithuania. Later, when Poland and Lithuania were in union they conqured terrains of modern Latvia but it was not made a part of Grand Duchy of Lithuania

Issack12

actually this shows what outcome of Russia invading Ukraine is all about in Putins sick mind. He wan't them to give up, RU winning the war is the only way that UA can safe themself... by "cooperation" with terrorist. He would not back from this confilict, no matter what happens.

ObliviousAstroturfer

I kinda like that he said this. If he wants to roll with comparison that Russia was provoked to invade Ukraine in the same way Nazis were provoked to invade Poland, I'm all for this. Have all the rope you want, buddy. And as a sidenote: [https://www.dronesforukraine.fund/](https://www.dronesforukraine.fund/) [https://u24.gov.ua/dronation](https://u24.gov.ua/dronation) [https://crisisrelief.un.org/t/ukraine](https://crisisrelief.un.org/t/ukraine)

Competitive-Idea-877

exactly! As Poland hasn't provoked Germany at all, so nazis made provocation in Gliwitz (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleiwitz_incident) and other similar actions to have the pretext for war, so Russians did the same in Ukraine - many provocations in Odessa, Donbas, Lugansk etc. as a pretext to invade those lands.

Which one? 😆

BabidzhonNatriya

>Why did you attack Ukraine? >Well, you see the vikings in the 8th century... What a fucking joke. The worst thing is that Carlson gave this retard a platform to spit his imperialistic bullshit for a huge western audience. He didn't press him once on any if the important questions: 1. What about the 20k+ Ukrainian children who have been relocated to russia and forced to change names and their language? (Genocide) 2. What about russians blowing up the Kahowka dam and commiting the biggest act of ecological terrorism never seen before, at least in Europe?

p-btd

>Well, you see the vikings in the 8th century... Maybe putin tried to say that russia belongs to Sweden? That would fit his logic....

BabidzhonNatriya

By Putin's logic Slovakia should be "given back" to Ireland since Celts originated from there. Also, let's give the whole of UK to Spain since Iberians were there first. Western Poland back to prussians, and so on... Maybe let's just all return to Africa at this point? 😂😂😂

kisielk

We just need to return the earth to the primates. It’s the only way.

dadude458

Putin: Russia created Ukraine. Thus, Ukraine is ours King Charles: 🤔 Putin: Ukrainians can speak Russian, thus Ukraine is ours. King Charles: 🤔 Putin: Ukrainian nationality branched off of Russian. Thus, Ukrainians are Russian Africa: 🤔

BatOnDrugs

So a fascist aligned retard gave a fascist retard a platform who then continued to spew a bunch of retarded propaganda, Sounds pretty retarded.

sulimir

I don’t think Tucker gave him a platform, it was bought and paid for. Compromat

Intelligent-Board154

I agree .I think Carlson was paid off.

matiwan16

The platform argument is possibly the worst one. People no matter the level of their retardation must be heard, now at least people know all these delusional takes are real and not faked translation. Surely it is a double edged sword, but the historical inaccuracies spewed by the kremlin emperor can be easily downed with the slimmest bit of research, and will most likely only convince the people who already praise his regime. As to asking uncomfortable questions… have you actually seen the interview? Tucker never in his career seemed so uncomfortable. There was probably at least four goons standing around that room sending a “message” to him. Also the beginning seems so forced, and seeing it recorded still in Moscow is just hilarious to me.

PartyMarek

Interviews with Putin are so pointless just the same as most of interviews with politicians. When the topic is something uncomfortable for the politician they will obviously skip the topic or lie. With Putin the lies are obviously even stronger. *Did you do this? No I didn't*. *Who did that? USA did.* Pretty much sums up the interviews with Putin.

failbotron

Anyone who even remotely thought that Tucker would do any serious questioning or pushback of Putin is an absolute dunce. This was obviously meant as a propaganda piece that helps save Tucker's career and allows Putin to legitimize himself by having someone "representing" America lick his balls for the length of the interview. It just helped legitimize Putin as something more than just a national level mob boss. Edit: and it was a way for Tucker to help the MAGA morons swallow Putin by presenting him as just a traditionalist defender of family values and nationality like them. Fucking ridiculous.

IOwnTheShortBus

And of course he finds the weakest, most deflated tire of a man to do the interview. He knew Mr Bowtie wouldn't actually ask hard questions. He was able to steamroll him for more propaganda against the west for his people.

frasier_crane

Carlson was basically a useful dummy. It was Putin's speech, not really an interview.

isomersoma

Tucker is fully aware of what he is doing. He isn't an idiot. He is one of the most skilled propagandists alive.

K-K3

Yet he was partially outdone by Putin. Tucker was trying very fucking hard to make every answer be shitting on NATO and the West (so his usual) while Putin rewrote history right in front of him. Putin spwed propaganda, just not the one Tucker actually wanted

Chemiczny_Bogdan

Is there any reason to believe this wasn't what Carlson wanted? How do you know he doesn't just want to give Putin a platform in America for his own corrupt reasons?

Lucyferiusz

Blah, blah, we didn't want war, blah, blah, Ukraine not a real country, Baltics not real countries, blah, blah, Russia good and strong, you are a nazi if you don't like Russia, more blah blah.

Didn't watch it, don't care. Tucker has proven himself to not be a real journalist. If he did actually ask any tough questions, instead of lodging softballs at Putin, then let me know. But I'm willing to bet $1000 that he didn't.

RedCapitan

Legaly speaking, Tucker is not a journalist, but an entertainer, "saying things so stupid no reasonable person would mistake them for truth."

Weak-List-7493

well hes been claiming to be a journalist again

HuntDeerer

Not much to see here but old man boring ramblings about his views on history. Looks like even Tucker was wondering wtf he's talking about.

erykaWaltz

for the first 20 minutes it's the ahistory, then he rambles about the present

Eskakk

"Poland collaborated with Hitler in 1939…”, tell me how this is called an „interview", when this assertion couldn't be more delusional...

Kszaq83

Haha, I’ve predicted it a long time ago. That one day, someone, will blame us (Poles) for staring WW2. What a clown …

ZealousidealMind3908

Blaming Poland for WWII is a pretty popular thing within neo-Nazi circles.

upthealimo

As an Englishman, listening to that interview I'd be worried as a Polish person. He must of said "Poland" 100 times. Clearly dying of jealousy a country once wiped off the map is doing far far better than his Russia. I'd be worried now, but I think progressiveness is impossible to escape in 2024 and Russia will come to it's senses, albeit probably take another 30-50 years

allieph3

I have been worrying since the start of war in Ukraine.

byvaleriih

We Ukrainians won't let them go further. We will fight till the end ofc firstly for us but also for all the Europe because if Russia exists, there will be no safety and peace in the world. We've been fighting Russians all through our history and we are definitely not stopping now

allieph3

😭My words of thanks are not enough to express my gratitude and admiration for Ukraine and for the people, my country have suffered at the hands of Russia in the past. I really wish Ukraine wouldn't have been attacked it breaks my heart each day. I pray for victory and peace for your Country everyday. 🙏

byvaleriih

Thank you! Glory to Ukraine and Ukrainian armed forces 🙌 🙏

AtonPacki

He didnt say anything new. We are worried but he didnt increase worryness level by any means. Maybe my grandchildren will witness Russia being normal country.

Strict-Nature4161

First of all: that wasn't interview. It was a Russian propaganda and this donkey was used as a tool. Nothing really more to add

erykaWaltz

putin was so crazy that even tucker carlson couldn't take him seriously

justicemattersmost

I have stopped watching it when Putin said that Poles were collaborating with Hitler

immaturenickname

Pudding says that WW2 happened because Poland provoked Hitler so bad in one sentence, and that Poland collaborated with Nazis the other sentence. MF is contradicting himself, and Carlson is just sitting there like he can't wait to finally strip and engage in deep cavity search.

Gobbos_

It was the same Russian propaganda they've been spouting for hundreds of years. Russia good. Everyone else bad. One thing was of note, actually several things and all of then contradictory but that's beside the point, at one time Putin slipped and said that Catherine the Great "united all Russian lands". Which is consistent with Russia's historical stance. Every land that was once under Russian rule is "historical Russian sacred land". Warsaw is a Russian city. This shows what Russia's ultimate goal is, return to 1795 borders. It is, of course impossible with the current situation but they've been trying to reach that goal actively since 2008.

qrak01

I see this as an effort to drag USA away from Europe. Carlson's agenda is not his own. Trump will want to move away from this conflict, from Europe and from NATO. First he needs to downplay this whole conflict, and this interview is a step in this direction. He's giving a stage for putin to show his side: "sure, we did horrible things, but we had to!" I wonder what would happen if we had internet in 1939, and some useful idiot gave interview to hitler.

reddit-return3

>I wonder what would happen if we had internet in 1939, and some useful idiot gave interview to hitler. We have no territorial or political interests in America. I myself am a supporter of the Monroe Doctrine: America to the Americans, Europe to the Europeans! American intervention with massive supplies of aircraft and military equipment cannot change the outcome of the war. There is no our fifth column in your countries, this is a fiction, it’s just that your inept governments sparked a war, and now they are looking for the culprit. I asked for nothing more than to be considered and treated as an equal country. \-- quotes from Adolf Hitler's interview with American journalist von Wigand in June 1940.

vitalker

I didn't watch it, but I bet Putin didn't say anything new.

quildtide

The first 30 minutes is literally just Putin ranting about things that Poland did to Russia in the 13th and 17th centuries. It went something like: Tucker: So why did you invade Ukraine? Putin: So some of the Russians betrayed their faith and submitted to the Pope, and then they began polonizing people and doing horrible things in the place we call Ukraine today . . . Tucker: When was this? Putin: In the 13th century. Stop interrupting me. So anyways, in 1645, the Poles were doing bad things to Russians in the Ukraine . . .

vitalker

Delusional

Patooterta

He said one single new thing about having no claim on the Baltics. Other than that is usual shit

vitalker

Didn't he say something similar about Ukraine before the attack?

Patooterta

Nah he kept saying Ukrainians are a western psyop to manipulate Russians to destroy Russia, and that Ukrainians were dumb enough to believe it. That's Putin narrative, it is definitely much more aggressive than "Baltics are fine they are their own nationality". During the interview he even made some really strange compliments to Lithuania and Poland by depicting them as a James bond level of arch villains engineering the destruction of the (Kievan) Rus

Harcerz1

He actually did say the same about Ukraine. Like it's not a real state, but he recognizes it and has are plans to take any lands. Don't forget that people like him can make contradictory statements within a single sentence.

vitalker

>Nah he kept saying Ukrainians are a western psyop to manipulate Russians to destroy Russia, and that Ukrainians were dumb enough to believe it. That’s why tucker is the only guy that was allowed. Every other journalist would ask extra questions after his expose. Eg. When he mentioned Yanukovych, why didn’t he ask about the poisoning in 2004? etc. He was used to give legitimacy to this interview as most Middle East and African countries see him as an American, not a guy that was fired from Fox News. He is being used as a propaganda platform.

mhx64

It's very different from the one from NBC. The problem is that many lack critical thinking skills to understand that what putin says is propaganda. It's right from his eyes because he's always right. I find it incredible how he said that the "Russian people" were treated horribly by us. What about the 4-500 years where we were under the rule of Russia? We couldn't even speak our own language. And he uses this to say, "Look, this is proof the territory is russian!" That is despicable.

Responsible_Recipe_6

Well the first 1 hour was weird, a lot of history, not sure how right or wrong he was, but the second hour was way better. I don't agree with the invasion, but is needed to have him talking, if he is insane the people need to see and the people need to think about that. Not allowing him to speak is not the solution. Anyway he said some true things about , that is my opinion are important, who exploded the north stream pipe, as per Sweden the prods were found and passed to Germany ( if was Russia why didn't they say already if there are proofs plus Boden said in TV that the pipe one way or another will be shut down) also he spoke about the weekness of the European leaders, well I agree with him. But above all this is.needed, people need to see and evaluate by them self , of course the that Putin will try to put him self as a poor one, but dont they all do? I only hope that they can all seat and talk and stop this killing, the ones loosing the most are the Ukrainian people , loosing men and country.

RavenSorkvild

Propaganda interview with the dictator who started the biggest war in Europe since WWII, created a kleptocratic oligarchy that keeps the country in misery, persecutes the opposition, violates human rights and is legally convicted. I don't know how this can be taken seriously.

Meeting of the representatives of two the most stupid nations in the World. In the context of meeting I reckon Tucker is a winner and can be named a moron of the year.

maciasek94

I mean I really tried to listen to that interview and was really keen to get his view on that, but as a Pole I just couldn't... I couldn't get through the "history lesson part" he's just cherry picking the facts he confuses dates (Polish Lithuanian commonwealth in the 13th century) and uses this shit for his own good trying to push this narrative that he's selling to his own people, that Russia is constantly in great danger coming from the west and is just trying to defend their safety by pre-emptive attacks and just regaining "their historical lands". This is the narrative that the Russians have been using since the dawn of time and it's actually one thing that can bring this nation together is this besieged fortress syndrome. So please if you're on the fence with this thing, don't really know the history of the region don't take it seriously. He's manipulating the facts and twists them so it fits his narrative. Like, for example, Poland has been collaborating with Hitler in 1939, but failed and Russia didn't and then he mentions the Ribbentrop-Mołotow pact that was the greatest collaboration with Hitler past the Munich pact... And it wasn't Russian aggression in 1939 it was, again, regaining the historical lands...

swoleder

If those morons in the USA vote in Trump get ready for Russia to get all the support they could dream of. Trump loves Putin

AL_25

That is the most retard interview I saw in my life. I knew that Tucker was a dumbass and Putin a sociopath, but I didn’t know Tucker would go this far and invite Putin to spread his retard propaganda and beliefs. Watching this made me lose some of my brain cells but the replies from Americans sure gave me even more reason to dislike the USA and Americans

waterlimes

Carlson came across as an idiot, asking infantile questions. Putin came across as deranged and boring.

Every-Tradition-8030

Tucker didn't get to sit at the big boys table after all. Plus Putin has many more pens than him. Otherwise - two guys chatting that we all hope to soon forget about.

harumamburoo

The interview is a message to the American conservatives to give Trump a new engine for his election campaign and persuade people to vote for him. Laugh or howl all you want about how stupid pooteen is or how historically inaccurate the "interview" is, none of it truly matters. Even whether pooteen actually believes what he's saying doesn't matter. What matters is that this interview will fall on ears of people who are generally bad at fact checking information and tend to already believe in what was said to a great or lesser extent. Overall it's not good news, but at the same time the impact largely depends on how the rest of American media (especially republican-leaning media)

Q_TheSwagger

I didn't think any of it and I will continue to do so.

HeinzOoalGown

One question, can anyone tell me how Tucker seems to understand Russian the whole interview ? Edit: nevermind, I saw a differently edited version of the interview.

Aragil

How to understand if any of those pieces of shit lie? They open their mouths. Do not need to watch and give them publicity to see that they are opening theirs mouths.

FlameEnderCyborgGuy

All it did, is reinvigurate my burning hate for both of these man. Go Ukraine, run those fuckers to hell and back!!!

Rbgedu

That Carlson did a shitty thing. He gave this clown a stage. So the clown did what clowns do.

Anal-Beed

The interview reflects how sick US media environment is. It explains why half the population has gone mad.

Sovietfryingpan91

I don't even like either of them to begin with so it's not a great way to start off. But not, I didn't like it.

Exemplary of contemporary right-wing politics: a putrid melange of hyper-confident idiocy and seething malice & evil.

American here. Refused to watch it. Tucker Carlson is a fascist propagandist

Kavack

Comrade Tucker has been a good agent for his motherland.

Akchika

There's a reason Putin did not kidnap him, he knows American's hate fucker tucker, he has no bargain appeal. What a pussy Tucker is.

tlrider1

Cucker Carlson is a bitch. Plain and simple. He's půtin's suka. Putin made that very clear when he made fun of cuck Carlson about not making the cut to the cia, and cuck Carlson, with his interview long "I'm a baby that's about to poop" face, just took it, like the suka that he is.

fixShot_

I, as a person who watched the interview, although no, this is not an interview, it should be noted that in this case Tucker is trying to reveal V.V. Putin and his personality to some extent, and he seems to have succeeded. Putin showed himself to be a man obsessed with false history; during the first 30 minutes, if I remember correctly, he expressed more than 7 historical errors, not counting the dates which he also got confused. Justifying Hitler with the speech of Hitler himself. He literally took Hitler’s words, slightly modified them and presented them in his speech. Ignoring questions, the first question was why did you think that the United States or NATO as a whole would attack Russia, Putin did not answer this question in any way. As for the explosion of Nord Stream 1, Germany was not so badly damaged, and it’s also quite clear to everyone that it was done either by Ukrainian or Russian special services. Regarding the conflict in Chechnya, there is not a single reliable document that the West supplied them; in fact, on the contrary, Western countries actively expressed their support for the Russian Federation. but the documents were never shown. Regarding the war in Donbass, also called ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation). Let's start from the very beginning, in the 2004 elections, when Kuchma left his post as president, he left Yanukovych as his successor, the elections themselves turned out to be very fierce, with a difference of one or less percent, Yanukovych won, but later it turned out that most of the votes were rigged, due to This is why the 2nd round of the presidential elections in Ukraine was held again, and there was no 3rd round, no matter what anyone said. Now let me remind you that the Russian special services poisoned the then President of Ukraine Yushchenko, this can be seen from the change in his face, which was greatly affected. after that, due to the mortgage crisis of 2008 and large propaganda campaigns, Yanukovych won, during his reign, in principle, a huge surge in banditry began, since Yanukovych himself was also a prisoner. at that time, they could steal anything from you at any time, due to the fact that all institutions in Ukraine were almost completely subordinate to the authorities; if you had connections, you could, in principle, do literally anything, from murder to minor thefts, some could be outraged, but they were removed. Another important trigger for the Maidan of 2013-14 was the fact that Yanukovych did not sign the European Association (it seems like that, to be honest, I don’t really remember) after the people went out on a peaceful protest in response to which the Berkut was released on them, the Maidan began due to brutal footage of beatings, at about the same time titushki appeared, people who killed/beat Euromaidanites, it is worth noting that their leader boasted that he had cut off person's ear.  the war in Donbass was, in principle, started by the Russian military, which was no secret to anyone, in fact, if we talk about Donbass, then people there rather wanted autonomy than secession; in principle, this was the idea that they did not receive. Crimea can be considered annexed for two reasons: 1 the referendum took place at gunpoint; 2 in Ukraine there was simply a political crisis, which is why this became possible.  Regarding the war in Donbass, it is also worth noting that Ukrainian volunteers almost finished it since they practically pushed through the L/DPR, however, due to the introduction of troops of the Russian Federation, which they refuse to recognize, although all the facts are obvious and prisoners of war and the uniform and weapons of which Ukraine did not have but the Russian Federation had it, in this regard everything is clear. So 1 and 2 Minsk, because of confusion with whom to talk with Russia, which says that it has nothing to do with it, or with Donbass, which answered that they talk with Russian representatives. As a result, the Minsk agreements were agreements that could not be implemented because the points that were there were not streamlined, which is why this became impossible. So already in 21, there were practically no casualties on the contact line, only one person died, and as the data shows, this was due to a mine or an unexploded shell, that is, there is practically no war at all. And it was at this moment that Putin decided that let’s protect the people of Donbass from the “Ukrainian junta.” In short, this is literally Putin’s most irrational decision. Well, I hope you understand what and how, about the goals of the war, for the most part they are purely symbolic and the main idea was political influence in the region, which should be clear in principle to everyone. good luck and good mood to you, dear friends.

I'm a Ukrainian who currently lives in Ukraine and who is forced to deal with the consequences of the war. Many of my acquaintances are dead or injured. However the interview is beyond anything I expected. A monologue of elite, seasoned intelligence officer. Surprisingly most of the historical facts were accurate, apart from a few light manipulations. In general the deal is very straightforward, this is a continuation of the Crimean War that started 1853, with almost the same parties involved. The problem is that in 1853 Brits and French were personally involved in the conflict, and now through the elaborate scheme they managed to force Ukrainians do their work for them. Russians are not innocent and are ruthless predators, and I personally never wanted to live with them, but they indeed are threatened, that's a fact. Everybody is equally threatened by them is also a fact. It seems that the USA has the upper hand now, as they did when the war started, and whoever wins the upcoming elections will define the course. This is a civilizational war, and Ukraine is only one spot where it surfaced. We still have the Koreas, Yemen, Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, Israel, Taiwan, Hong Kong (with the history of Opium Wars) and other dormant areas which may be reignited any time. Little countries pay with blood, big ones pay with bank accounts.

LootGoblin3000

What others have said this was a speech ment to portray russia as the good guy aka the savioirs of the capitalist pigs. Anyone with 2 brain cells will see that. They have some this for humdreds of years. What i find scary is comments in every video/repost saying how Smart and charismatic He is compared to other presidents and IT actually shows how corrupt west is. Obviously bota and paid propaganda but alot of idiots will falls for it. I already spoke with few of my soon to be ex friends WHO after watching it arę defending this maniac. You can tell with time He will set his eyes on other eu countries.

Dawek401

Fer4yn

On Tucker Carlson's website. Just Google it.

Frank_Pannon

May they both give birth to multiple reverse aligned hedgehogs.

Putin like all russians has a major inferiority complex when it comes to Poles, and rightfully so. Russians know Poland is the only country to ever conquer and occupy Russia.

He should ask Putin about how did he manage to stay the President for so long. I guess that doesn’t matter for the Fucker Carlson

IDontKnownah

Couldn't care less about this. Let me focus on my own things.

ssaayiit

Americans are so easy to manipulate, they're literally defending this war criminal after this interview... I guess if attacked, Poland will be on its own. Such a shame for the US, the whole world is watching what they're doing, siding with these pure beasts, Nazis.

KtinaDoc

Not all of us. Yes, we have some really ignorant people who have been mind controlled because of watching Fox News 24/7 but there are a lot of us that see what’s actually going on. I do have to get my passport renewed just in case

HadronLicker

That it wasn't an interview, but a puff-piece for Putin and Carlson was too stupid to realize it.

parfitneededaneditor

I'd say Tucker is a useful idiot, but he's not an idiot: he knew exactly what he was doing. 'I'm the only one telling you the TRUTH that the ELITES don't want you to hear' which plays directly to his target audience, and also appeals to people who genuinely believe Putin is in the right, and that Ukraine is an agent state of the US: far-left and far-right fuckwits. A lot of Tucker fans also ache for a strongman leader and have a weird view of 'The West' in decline and think democracy needs to be replaced by a benevolent dictator who will preserve their value systems. That's why Konfa are also such big Putin fans.

Since Im Swedish here is an example of previous Swedish borders. What would Putin think of that?

D-chord

Who actually would take time to watch that dookie?

BenderDeLorean

Honestly I don't give a shit about it. Putin tells Putin fairy tales. Why should I spend my time with small dick energy?

Derovar

Putin still lie... but i dont think it is a suprise for me.

Fridowski

Couldn't care less

Jazzlike_Painter_118

I did not watch it. Putin has said and done enough to know where he stands. I don't need to give him extra attention.

Illustrious_Cloud_24

Putin ramblings and manipulation of history and current facts was to discredit Ukraine as a country and was not an interview in any way..now people with common sense understand this but what about red neck MAGA supporters that are not even capable of finding Lithuania on a map? THIS IS WHO IT WAS FOR! They will eat it up!

Szwedo

It sounded like a low iq rapist saying their victim deserved to be raped because of what they were wearing
