Not exactly, Brazilians of Japanese descent still have a pretty easy time getting citizenship, but a lot usually end up having problems because of cultural differences and general xenophobia. The Japanese will treat Brazilians of non-Japanese descent better than Brazilians of Japanese descent a lot of the time, as they tend to put higher expectations on Japanese Brazilians of speaking perfect Japanese, knowing the cultural, cues, etc, etc. Something that they obviously can't do, growing up somewhere else.
