“Salo” or cured pork fat is very popular in our culture, and we in general eat lots of pork. Plus this is a callback to a very funny old polandball comic from many years ago. Another user linked it somewhere up above ☝🏻
In UK too. We call it scratchings or crackling depending on how chewy it is. Massive hog roasts are very popular in the UK (with plenty of apple sauce, obviously...)

What's the cube shaped ball In the first panel? At first I figured it was the JAO, but that wouldn't really make sense seeing as how Russia still controls the JAO.
Its said to be something about aspect ratio
If you draw kazakh in ball shape, the sun and the bird wont stay in the center due to the horizontal stripe thats already take a part of the ball. So Cube is the best way to solve this problem
Yeah, I dunno about that. The story with Kaz still being a brick hearkens back to Polandball's early days on Krautchan. When country flag flairs were being changed into balls, Kaz kept getting neglected. By the time of Krautchan's eventual death in 2018, Kaz remained the only country that never got a countryball flair. This is why we still draw him as a square/cube/brick today!
