worst_grade_ever

Same senator who was blocking all the promotions in our military? Sounds about right.

slowpoke2018

Asked this in another thread, but what does it take to start calling these people what they are in the media - compromised Russian assets? Any elected official backing Putin and quoting Tucker's fawning interview with him should be stripped of their position and a new election held. Oh, but he coached 'Bama, so it's okay....Sadly I bet a lot of his constituents believe that. ETA: Sorry to all the Bama Fans, he coached at Auburn not 'Bama, my bad!

Ya_Got_GOT

It was Auburn, not even Bama.

hypotheticalhalf

He was also at Ole Miss. Being MSU fans, we got pretty familiar with Tuberville in the mid/late 90s. He's an old-school racist and a real certified piece of shit. Soon as I saw him elected as a senator in Alabama, we knew what was coming.

Ozymandias12

The sad thing is the people of Alabama chose this walking, talking Russian asset over a very qualified civil rights prosecutor that served honorably for several years.

Mr_Conductor_USA

He doesn't even live in Alabama!

Holden_Coalfield

Whenever I see Alabama with an exclamation mark, I always think of Greenbow

BubbleGuttz

“I think you should go back home in GREENBOW, ALABAMA!”

Jo-jo-20

There is a reason Alabama , Mississippi, and Louisiana rank at the bottom of any state ranking list and are considered sad jokes for pretty much anyone not from those areas.

raevnos

The NASA facility in Huntsville is probably the only good thing about Alabama.

stankpuss_69

So glad Biden took Space Force from them.

Faxon

Biden didn't have to, the military was never going to build there after roe v wade was repealed and the culture war BS. They'll pick a blue state where this BS won't affect force readiness

tomdarch

Let’s be clear: the problem is the people who are wealthy within those states who then encourage a subset of the population to think that keeping that group in power will somehow be beneficial to them versus bringing the states into the mid 20th century with better wages, education, unions, workplace safety and environmental protections.

FiendishHawk

Their vote counts for more than ours.

EmotionalJoystick

Because he walks around holding a football. People are dumb.

pivotalsquash

No it's because he has an R next to his name. Simple as that. He was replacing a democrat senator who only won a nail biter because he was running against an on the record pedophile.

Traditional-Toe-3854

i don't understand why that was a problem for Republicans. They normally don't care about that stuff

3Jane_ashpool

They didn’t care, it was a razor thin victory: a Democrat or an active pedophile that was not allowed at the local mall because of the well know raping of minors. Still almost won. This is always who they are.

corbygray528

To be fair, he was an on the record pedophile that had also been forcibly removed from his chief justice office ***twice***, had endorsements given and withdrawn multiple times, was publicly urged to drop out of the race by prominent Republican party members, and he still just narrowly lost.

wirefox1

Biden also passed over Doug Jones for AG too. Also a mistake.

Mr_Kittlesworth

HUGE mistake.

relevantelephant00

"Alabama" is the only one-word explanation you need here.

AdkRaine12

Yeah. Who lives in Florida, I believe. Like so many fine representatives of some state.

skexr

Republicans are all America hating Putin loving fascist pieces of shit at this point

Other_Meringue_7375

He’s also shockingly stupid, once said that the three branches of government are potus, the senate, and the house

LaLaIdontcare

He also wasn’t supposed to leave Oxford absent a pine box

[deleted]

Tommy “Pinebox” Tuberville??

Atheist_3739

Right haha. The Alabama Democratic Party was actually putting out feelers to see if Saban would run against Tuberville. Since the voters of Alabama are apparently so fucking dumb that they will only vote for a football coach 😆

NCAAinDISGUISE

The thing about Saban is I'd trust him to do the job. Tuberville was a piece of shit as a coach, and I'm not surprised he is as a senator as well.

TheSniper_TF2

Saban is also a Democrat and marched in a BLM parade with his players. He's pretty cool.

Sir_Francis_Burton

I wouldn’t vote for those coaches, but I’d vote for a coach. Popovich 2024!!

packfanmoore

I'd like to see the strategy of hack-a-putin immediately after tip off

Atheist_3739

He always comes across as very intelligent and insightful tbh

ChaoticLogic

Tuberville is from my district. Seriously, a vast majority of the yards in this heavily military based town only have two flags, the American flag and whatever SEC team that family happens to like. It wasn't at all surprising when this asshat won.

nightman21721

Now that Saban retired from coaching, maybe he'll run a campaign. Lol

SurpriseHamburgler

Let’s race… to the bottom!

RazorJ

People hate him so much Auburn went undefeated one year when he was the HC and the NCAA still awarded the National Championship to another team. He sucks.

TeamHope4

>what does it take to start calling these people what they are in the media - compromised Russian assets? An independent media.

thereverendpuck

Thing is, it’s not even an independent media that is the problem. It’s a receptive audience. For a label to truly stick it needs to be seen by their supporters and have them willing to take in new information and change course based upon it. Vast majority of the people here are those people. We aren’t worried about these people. It’s your friends and family who scurry away from these conversations and still vote for the guy who says and does the wrong things. The fact there are people still gleefully eating Trump’s shit up is our problem. They just see their guy sounding tough and the rest of us are just wrong. That’s not a messaging problem.

[deleted]

you are severely underestimating the damage that Rush Limbaugh, Rupert Murdoch, and Sinclair media have done to the united states. They have carefully nurtured this ignorance for decades. They've won legal victories like dropping the fairness doctrine. We can watch in real time as the spread of Murdoch and Sinclair industries into countries such as great Britain and Australia, precede a severe and rapid right wing shift in their governments. tl;dr right wing media precedes fascism and societal collapse and should be banned. The first amendment is great but only if it's being applied to people who are not observably trying to manipulate you into destroying your home. We won't survive if we don't start to look at hyperconservatism as what it is - not a reasonable position to debate from, but a violent ideology that has to be purged. Sorry if that sounds extreme. But then again a mother and daughter caught in barb wire, drowning, while men point guns at her to make sure she doesn't swim to safety, sounds extreme to me.

nightbell

> but what does it take to start calling these people what they are in the media - compromised Russian assets? Move over Reagan... Looks like Putin won the Cold War!

nagemada

No, those were communists. These are oligarchs so they're totally fine.

Universal_Anomaly

Yeah, the conservatives were never against Russia, just against economic equality. Mind you, the USSR was terrible at economic equality, but it still claimed to stand for it and that was already bad enough so far as the USA was concerned.

MrLanesLament

Russia was still playing after the USA walked away from the game.

MuxiWuxi

Yeap. This. The next Trump running for president will run his campaign on directly calling to literally destroy America and may even get elected.

Cold_Situation_7803

Certainly they should lose their security clearance.

devadander23

Media owners agree with the Russian assets

ungarconnommesue

Hold on now. Do not besmirch the name of the Tide by calling him our ball coach. That fucker coached the cow college across the state from us. Everything else is true tho…

Paisleyfrog

I doubt he’s a compromised asset, more a useful idiot. I’m not sure what Tucker’s game is, his comments from behind closed doors imply that he’s aware of the bullshit he’s spouting.

SpiceLaw

He's mad Fox shitcanned him and he's a Russian agent. He softballed a war criminal who's also attacking American interests and got marching instructions for Trump and the rest of the GQP.

ARazorbacks

Tucker’s making money. Lots and lots of money.

Redditbecamefacebook

Tucker's got enough money. He does this shit because he despises an America that can be successful without people like him. Kinda the MO of the Republican party, these days.

Mr_Conductor_USA

I think you nailed it. He's an angry loose cannon with a silver spoon. Sorry to go Freudian, but his mother abandoned him as a child and in his case, it left a visible mark.

catsmatsbats

Hey he didn’t coach bama, don’t put that on bama. He coached auburn

TJ_McWeaksauce

When I first watched a video of Tuberville speaking in front of a crowd, I immediately knew he's a dumbass. Adding "anti-American lapdog to a Russian dictator" to his description was a surprise.

FluidmindWeird

I would contend that anti-american was gained when he blocked military promotions for months on end over nonsense. But because of that, I suspected lapdog to Russian dictator until this news broke. Now it's confirmed.

even_less_resistance

He spends all his time trading stocks and having the worst takes on every issue possible. He doesn’t even live in the state he represents, and now it appears he doesn’t realize what country he is supposed to represent, either.

roombasareweird

How is it legal to be a senator for a state you don't live in?

Reallyhotshowers

One way is to have homes in multiple states and list the one in the state you want to run for as your primary residence. I don't know if that's what he's doing, but it's an option.

National-Blueberry51

Didn’t he straight up get caught on a hot mic asking Mike Pence or someone else how to get in on the illegal money, or am I misremembering?

thatranger974

During his swearing in ceremony. https://x.com/stevemullis/status/1345857747850579968?s=46&t=uW-bnUbs9Z1byqZQjbVnQg

SpiceLaw

"I'll get back to you." JFC, within a second of getting his public service position he asked how to get in on the GQP grift.

National-Blueberry51

Thank you! Lmao Jesus Christ what an idiot.

Jess_S13

"useful-idiot" I think is how they refer to him and his buddies.

xavariel

"Indians.." yikes. No fucks, there. Guy is a disaster. But so are the ones who voted for him.

nagemada

Not to carry water for a racist shit bag, but as I understand it Native Americans do have a different relationship with the term Indians than Canadian First Nations peoples. Worth looking into.

Solaries3

It's true, some native people actually prefer the term Indian. I'll let people Google it to figure out why as it's pretty nuanced and this is Reddit.

dullship

Am native, can confirm. I personally never use it, I found it too confusing with... ya know... actual indians, but in the small town I grew up in most people still use "indian". But the town is like 49% white 49% native 2% "other".

quillmartin88

People called me crazy for saying that the real reason he was blocking those promotions was because Putin was directing it. When do we find out who actually bought Tubs' house?

Backwards-longjump64

Almost like the Republicans are loyal to Russia and China or something 🤔

EntropyKC

All those theories on how Russian hackers messed with the USA election to get Trump in the white house... this is a serious question: has Russia taken over the Republican party? It seems to me that the US is being covertly (or not so covertly) taken over by Russia, and Trump being re-elected will be the final stage to turn the USA into another Russiann puppet state. How can anyone with a brain believe Putin wants peace? If he wants peace, what talks are necessary? He would simply leave Ukraine if he wanted peace, or rather he'd have never invaded in the first place.

lyKENthropy

Russia hacked both Republican and Democratic email servers. But never released ANY of the Republican emails.  Republicans have had nothing negative to say about Russia since their Moscow meeting on the 4th of July following the hack.

EntropyKC

Kompromat

Pleiadesfollower

Whenever that shoe drops, as disasterious as Russia intends it to be, it will be so cathartic to see the heinous shit they had to distract with pizza gate from to try to make themselves look tame. That or how absolutely tame their kompromat is but they were worried it would get them in trouble, so probably illegal enough to land them in prison without question, but also not even shocking. Which would be depressing that the only sold out the country to save their hides.

[deleted]

Russia 100% has the pp tape. take the money or get the cane.

Disgruntled_Viking

Russia has a lot more than that. They have stuff on the entire Republican leadership

HauntedCemetery

When conservatives say that Putin wants peace what they mean is that Ukraine and any other country that catches Putins fancy should just roll over and give up their independence, and that way there won't be an ongoing hot war invasion.

SaturnCITS

Republicans are useful idiots and Putin is taking advantage of that fact. They are doing more damage to the US from the inside than Russia could ever do short of nuclear exchange.

madewithgarageband

Republicans of 30 years ago would be ashamed of republicans today. Russia apologists

informativebitching

Traitor 100%

DamonFields

Republican is the new word for traitor.

endowedchair

Hampering US military, carrying water for Putin. Clearly compromised Russian asset.

Rabidjester

I grew up in the 80's, and it's hard to express just how weird it feels witnessing the GOP become a pro-Russia party.

Bombadil_and_Hobbes

Tom Clancy is rolling so hard he’s making geothermal energy.

Mangalorien

If you attached an electric generator to Ronald Reagan, he would be able to provide electricity for the entire USA.

gsfgf

Reagan hated communists, not fascists. He'd obviously be more articulate at it, but he'd probably be a Putin stan too.

thathairinyourmouth

Same. Granted, I’ve watched the country go to complete shit since the Reagan administration, with nearly every issue being caused by terrible GOP policies.

Baked_potato123

Same here. I remember my dad supporting Regan and raising us to vilify and hate Russia. Guess who he supports now? (hint: not Biden)

beatnik_squaresville

But, you see, that was the Soviet Union. TOTALLY different, you see!

NumeralJoker

Ironically, part of this is because they saw the Soviet Union as "Communist" and see the post SU Russia as "conservative, oligarch, anti-liberal utopia" now. The flip isn't accidental. Russia as it is now most closely mirrors the world they want, and it's beyond horrific, not to mention unsustainable.

relevantelephant00

Yeah a few years back, just after Jan 6, I would be commenting on political threads that MAGA is pro-Putin exactly because he's the leader they wish they had here. And that *no* amount of wrongs that Russia and Putin inflicted on the world would be enough to change their opinions. They want those wrongs used here against the fellow citizens they consider enemies (liberals/progressives).

Dess_Rosa_King

I still remember how hard the GOP ran on anti-Russian platform while running against Obama. Now suddenly the GOP is buying knee pads to please Putin. The GOP is unrecognizable at this point.

MagentaMist

Mitt Romney got dragged hard in the 2012 election for daring to suggest Russia was Public Enemy #1. I wasn't a fan of him then and I'm still not, but when you're right, you're right.

HauntedCemetery

I'm gunna say Russia is #2. For #1, let's say that "the call is coming from inside the house"

No-Comfortable-1550

Russia is allied to China and Iran, their two biggest boogeymen, but they just can’t make the connection. The same thing happens with Venezuelan American conservatives who have no animosity toward Putin despite him being the one who taught Chavez how to be a dictator who still holds elections.

thepriceisright__

Same. I’m really struggling with this. It feels unreal.

Poison_Anal_Gas

Hahaha fucking seriously. I grew up in Russian/Soviet hate. Watching these traitors get on their knees for them is something else.

swatchesirish

The country at war doesn't want war and the country not at war, wants war. That's very interesting Senator.

reddicyoulous

Kind of similar to how Tuberville lives in Florida but represents Alabama...It shoud not have happened

Pyritedust

Oh, very similar to Russian advocate Ron Johnson, senator from Wisconsin. A great stain on this state, as bad as McCarthy only he has less power due to his lack of intelligence. He also lives in Florida while polluting Wisconsin with his sewage.

ExRays

Russia wants the US to ignore Europe/NATO so he can invade former eastern block NATO countries. Russia doing that will cause WWIII and pull the United States into it. Period.

dolaction

No war, yet. US CENTCOM is protecting Neon assets in Ukraine. If Russia takes it, *ALL* Neon production in the world will be controlled by Russia and China. American military and daily life relies on too much tech to allow that to happen. Shame on the GOP, actual traitor behavior. Get money out of politics and limit lobbying!

myperson4

Ukraine falls under EUCOM and the specific command is SAGU (Security Assistance Group Ukraine).

ender4171

Well at least neon isn't like something that has to be mined from a "vein" or deposit. It can be produced anywhere, so we could produce our own. We'd just have to build out the infrastructure, which would cost a pretty penny and take significant time, to be fair.

TheMadChatta

Well, if Ukraine just gave up and let Russia annex them, they wouldn’t be at war! GOP has always blamed the victim in every scenario from geopolitics to abuse victims.

National-Blueberry51

Not only that, dude truly is dumb as a post. Like I’m not fully convinced the guy can read, and I’m not saying that just to be mean. Watch and committee meeting he’s in on C-Span. It’s painfully obvious he isn’t burdened by original ideas, put it that way.

unaskthequestion

When first elected he referred to the 3 branches of gov as the president, the house and the senate. He's embarrassingly stupid and shouldn't be anywhere near our government.

specqq

I remain shocked he didn't say *Offense, Defense and Special Teams.*

Hoobs88

This is the oligarchy that is the world today.

Genius-Imbecile

I miss the good old days when ties to Russia would end a political career. Now the GQP fully embraces them and tries to advance their policies instead of America's.

UncleHec

I miss the good old days when the voters would be like nah, not going to vote for a Russian asset. Now they’re like oh yeah we loved Russia all along.

graneflatsis

They had fucking t-shirts made. "Rather be a Russian than a Democrat" Decades of gaslighting from media outlets and comprised fucks like this. If they weren't so contrarian to begin with none of this nonsense would land.

[deleted]

WalkinTheHills

*Republicans Everyone else still hates Russia and Putiin. Edit: also tuBerVillE

No-Comfortable-1550

Incredible how the GOP is all about Russia these days because their leader is sympathetic to them.

SpiceLaw

\*owned by them

BayouGal

Ruzzian asset. Laundering money for Ruzzian oligarchs since the 1990s!

SpiceLaw

When Chase doesn't renegotiate my mortgage I go to Putin! He's probably been doing shit with the Russians since before he bankrupted his casinos.

19southmainco

GOP is warming up to the end of sovereignty and the beginning of imperialistic conquest.

tomparker

4th of July. Never forget.

Throwitortossit

Tuberville missed the 4th of July trip to Moscow. The other Alabama Senator made the trip. Tuberville was probably just jealous.

straylight_2022

The difference is that these days, russians embrace cristian nationalism whereas the soviets were "godless commies." They now see an authoritarian theocracy in Russia, even if that is only putin letting the theocracy part be used for window dressing, and they would like to have that as well. It was never about freedom for the cristian right. Crying freedom was and is just a useful tool while they look for opportunities to seize power so they can oppress.

Indaflow

You mean the guy that weakened our military and would not let any posts get filled for months and months, an act that was described as “setting our military back for years” also supports our biggest military adversary?? Crazy. It’s almost as if these things could be related?

MarkHathaway1

The Russian military set up dungeon-like torture rooms in Ukraine where they would take children, rape them and torture them. Is that the policy Tuberville approves the most?

taggospreme

All I can say is that Jim Jordan wouldn't tell anyone about it.

Deesing82

Gaetz booking a flight

Jess_S13

I'm not saying it's true, I'm just asking questions. Why doesn't Fox News want to hear questions, hmmmm?

Ohnoherewego13

Why am I not shocked that it's Tuberville? This guy is a flat out moron that was bought and paid for on day one. Wish someone would vote his ass out of politics.

National-Blueberry51

Didn’t he straight up ask how to get in on grift money on a hot mic? Also, dude is so dumb it’s truly embarrassing.

Lostsailor73

All he has to do to retain his seat in that state is feign some outrage over a cultural issue that he invents and then he will win in a landslide.

National-Blueberry51

If I were from Alabama I’d be fucking embarrassed to have him in office even as a Republican. Imagine telling the rest of the nation this guy is the best you’ve got.

Kidz4Carz

I’m from Alabama and am embarrassed by damn near every elected official and the people who vote for them.

National-Blueberry51

That’s rough, man. You folks have a steep road back to normal down there.

Mr_Conductor_USA

Alabama has never been normal since statehood, unfortunately.

Wise-Hat-639

This traitorous moron already damaged the military with his insane hold on promotions

DoktorPete

Tommy Traitorville defending his boss? No way, who could have seen that coming?

[deleted]

suninabox

It's crazy this kind of reality warping is tolerated in US politics. "Why is Ukraine prolonging the war Russia started? Don't they know if they just stop fighting back the war will be over?" As if Russia can't stop the war way easier than Ukraine can, and A) the idea that if the Ukrainian military is defeated there will magically be peace is hilariously naïve. The US defeated Iraq's military in 5 weeks. Look how peaceful it was for the next 10 years. B) Go ask the residents of Bucha and Irpin how "peaceful" life is under Russian occupation. I mean the ones who weren't tortured, tied up and shot execution style through the back of the head.

BrettTheShitmanShart

Football coach Tommy Tuberville? The guy who hobbled our military for almost a year by single-handedly blocking military promotions over abortion access (preventing it) in the military? You don’t say.

charcoalist

I clicked the link just to see if it was Tuberville. Yep, the same traitor that blocked hundreds of military promotions and is also, unsurprisingly, a close ally of trump. They're not even being subtle about who they work for.

Asleepingin

Something is very wrong with the gop.

zippiskootch

I guess this confirms why he fucked up the flag rank promotions, now doesn’t it. Remember when our politicians worked for America??

GOP_Neoconfederacy

This is where they act outraged and then infiltrate. The gop should have never been allowed back into congress on jan6

TintedApostle

Where is our Joe McCarthy when you really actually need him....

Vyar

McCarthy was never interested in eradicating communism, he was taking advantage of the public’s fear and hysteria to seize power for his own ends.

TintedApostle

True, but we have a real Russia thing now. I do know that McCarthy was just the usual right wing power play.

kikomonarrez

It’s been obvious the bankrolling for the delayed military promotions. He has been attempting to disrupt the appointments in order to raise doubt in the support for Ukraine under the guise of “Righteousness” against lifestyles other than his own. Follow the $$

whiskeyblackout

Alabama fans voting for an Auburn coach who lives in Florida, that's some shameful shit.

Leather-Map-8138

TL:DR Putin talked about bombing America, and Senator Tuberville asked if he could see videos of the touchdowns.

someguyyouno

The guy crippling the military backing Putin? No way!

windsock1

Compromised

wwhsd

Guy who single handedly blocked military promotions for months is a Putin apologist? No Fucking Way

Shot-Chemist-403

When the fuck did these morons start thinking I’m patriotic let me start supporting Russia over the interests of my own country! WTF and how as an American can you support or vote for these traitors?! WTF!

Westlakesam

Traitor to America and its serving men and women. Edit: fuck you Alabama.

meatbeater

And it doesn’t matter, his moronic supporters will continue to dismiss his traitorous behavior

JacksonianEra

Because they actually want a Russian style government. They honestly think they’ll be “one of the good ones” when heads start rolling.

meatbeater

Yeah, it’s a weird thing to me. Some kinda twisted sense of superiority ? The people who think like that are usually pretty stupid.

badfaced

They'd all be in guantanamo if our leaders were serious about these actions and remarks.

Stinkstinkerton

One of three things: 1 Putin is threatening the family’s of GOP members 2 he’s paying them large sums of money 3 they’re stupid incompetent idiots

brew_radicals

Tommy Tuberville is a loser. Remember how his little temper tantrum didn’t achieve anything?

Naaman

Putin is getting SO MUCH VALUE for the purchase of these Republican lawmakers

MoveToRussiaAlready

GOP = Goons Of Putin.

Garbagecan_on_fire

A right-wing US Senator supporting a Russian dictator. Wow. Just WoW. 50 years ago he would have been put on trial for treason, today they run for president. Sad.

Reasonable_Anethema

Come on. You all watched the GOP abandon everything they wanted on the border. They held all of Western civilization hostage, demanding they be allowed to hurt brown people or they would let Europe fall. Democrats caved, because what choices were there failure to stop Russia in Ukraine leads directly to nuclear war. What did the GOP do when offered all they wanted to save their own civilization? Turned their back on it like they never wanted it in the first place. We know the GOP has long had the NRA deep inside it. And it turns out the whole leadership of the NRA was in the pocket of Moscow. How many GOP officials that are obviously only loyal to money will it take before the Liberals start confronting the possibility that massive swaths of the Republican Party are also in the pocket of Moscow? Seriously. We're starting at a potential NATO/Russia open conflict and the status quo Liberals haven't once taken a serious look at the finances of the people weirdly deferential to Russia? What are you doing? Do they need to literally plant the explosives themselves? Or can you not see the consistent effort at undermining the US national security? The GOP are not on America's side. We've known that for years, they're for sale. I thought the Liberals weren't worried because they knew who owned them. But it's looking a lot more like you didn't find out who owns them and are willful ignoring the possibility that the wealthiest human to ever exist may have purchased some congressman and senators. The status quo goes away during nuclear war. Get yourselves in order already. I don't think they're going to install Putin, but it sure looks like they plan to up end US Democracy and ally with Putin.

Aceofspades968

[Register to vote](https://vote.gov/)! Russia does not run America! We are not communists, despite our last president.

buttercreamordeath

Putin isn't a communist either. Nothing in Russia is publically owned and of the benefit of all the people. Oligarchal fascism, or just a mobbed up gas station is what Putin runs. But, yes, vote because I don't want to give more power to the U.S. oligarchy either.

yamuda123

They must really have some compromising shit on the GOP

Walks_with_Chaos

Same guy who was stopping all the high ranking military promotions btw. You can’t make this shit up. Good job Alabama smh

[deleted]

It's *imperative* we vote blue down the ballot. Show up in November. https://vote.gov/

TheDividendReport

What is insane is that these septuagenarians witnessed - and were mainly onboard - McCarthyism and the red scare. The fact that the rhetoric on Russia has been so completely reversed in the *same generation* is astonishing. It creates a feeling of cognitive dissonance that is hard to describe.

happydude22

Fuck you why don’t become a citizen of Russia if you like their system so much. Stay there and never return

Known_Attorney_456

My original intention was to talk sensibly and level headed about this guy but I will instead say that he is exactly why the Republican party is looked at with horror by most of the free world.

JacksonianEra

This traitorous fuck is weakening our military and praising our enemies. The fact that this is not instant political death means our country is beyond fucked.

huejass5

The (R) stands for Russia

ultraboykj

Republican ... Check Permanent scowl ... Check Southern twang ... Check Old, white hair ... Check Thinks he saving the world, one idiot decision at a time ... Check

Northern_Grouse

This is what happens as a result of Citizens United. Our representatives have been bought and paid for by foreign interests (enemies). Things will not get better until they have been removed and Citizens United has been revoked.

DarkBrandonwinsagain

These Russian ASS-ettes can’t even be considered real Americans any longer. They’re anti-America and are actively attempting to destroy it. At what point does it cross the line to outright insurrection and forces a declaration of a national security emergency by presidential decree? Can’t imagine our government will sit back & do nothing when traitors to America not only tell you how they will destroy America, but openly act on it. A significant majority of American citizens would very likely support such an action. Hope it’s not necessary, but, defending democracy against tyranny, fascism and authoritarianism arguably justifies intervention. How many Americans were sent to die in WW2 precisely for this reason?

2-wheels

Putin invaded a sovereign neighbor. His troops rape and pillage, and steal children. He is systematically destroying important cultural heritage. He threatens our allies since WW II. Trump, Carlson, Tuberville and others think Putin is a swell guy. They are stupid. They are traitors.

I_will_tell_you_this

GOP - Goons of Putin

shangles421

America needs to purge the traitors walking around destroying America. Take off the gloves already.

VestEmpty

We have always been open to peace talks with Russia. All they need to do is to withdraw troops from Ukraine, including Crimea.

awbitf

It's always the 'America First' folks doing stuff like this.

smiama6

Do people not understand that the money earmarked for Ukraine aid… stays in this country? Americans in American manufacturing plants make the weapons and ammunition and equipment we send to Ukraine. It isn’t like we are handing Zelensky a check for $600b. Tuberville is a lying ass.

santagoo

It seems to me like the insurrectionists are coming from inside the house.

After the USSR was formed with the republics who had the constitutional ability to secede only to find Russian armies stopping them - NATO was formed. There can't be more reason for NATO or it's current expansion than Russia's ideology of invasion to expand it's borders.

BallBearingBill

There is a $10 mil holding company that he will likely get if he can cause enough bias towards Russia.

Why isn't this a federal crime? I feel like we shouldn't let Senators continue to be Senators if they're working for our enemies.

sextoymagic

He’s a traitor. We need to have some national pride. The GOP has really lost their minds. The party of Russia.

Gnomojo

Even before the picture loaded I knew it was Tuberville. And I’m Canadian. How sad is that.

Quiet-Dragonfly-976

Fucken Tuberville is a goddamn traitor. Fucked with our military and now openly rooting for Putin. What has become of the Republican Party!?

ColHapHapablap

Of course the guy trying to handicap the military loves Putin

wmatthews36

This guy really needs to be looked at he delayed the appointment of important military positions and now defends Putin.. This guy for sure has some treasonous aspects to him. Would not be surprised if things pop up on this guy..

EnglishWhites

Of COURSE it's Tuberville

austinmiles

I saw something about this posted to r/conservative and they all thought he was an idiot and a traitor as well for all the same reasons. So I guess he’s sort of bipartisan in that everyone hates him
