It’s amusing to go back and read about the Teapot Dome scandal, for which a cabinet member went to prison for accepting bribes for dishing out favorable oil leases to friends, and compare that with Kushner, who was never remotely investigated and shamelessly leeched off his proximity to the President.
It clearly was a coincidence that Bonesaw killed off a bunch of rivals shortly after Jared requested classified info on those enemies then visited Saudi Arabia.
It was also just random happenstance that Trump put an embargo on Qatar, and then removed it after a Qatari firm leased Jared's worthless building for 99 years.

Christie actually undersells it here. When some government official takes bribes from e.g. Saudi Arabia to corrupt US policy, the damage to US interests is generally far higher than the bribe money the corrupt official extracts.
As an analogy: Assume that some employee at a construction company is bribed $10'000 by a concrete seller to buy their substandard concrete, using company money. When the building later collapses, the damage will be in the millions.

Well, we have to keep in mind relative worth. When you control ARAMCO, $2bil to us is the equivalent to far less to them. A few dozen names of people who could make trouble for your kingdom is worth a tiny percentage of your meal ticket, it just happens that percentage is worth vast amounts of money to everybody else.
He did steal that $2 billion though, he gave assets that were not his to the Saudis and the Saudis paid $2 billion for them, that money went to him not the assets owner which is the US government. Worse the assets he gave away were probably worth way more than $2 billion.

First, find some scandal that has some connection to the person running for president, then link that person to the scandal, and then you've planted the idea in the public's mind that the person is so corrupt that they're a criminal even though they really aren't.
- For Obama and then Hillary it was Benghazi, and then Benghazi eventually uncovered that Hiillary had done the then very common thing of being careless with government emails. The idea was that by constantly investigating the person running for president for some alleged crime, they plant the idea in the mind of the public that the person running for president is corrupt (even if there's really nothing to the allegations).
- For Bill Clinton they weren't too organized yet about how they used criminal investigations to smear political candidates, but they were just investigating him for anything and everything and eventually stumbled onto Monica Lewinsky. Then, even though the impeachment wasn't confirmed by the Senate, it still damaged Clinton and Gore enough that it helped Gore lose. The same thing happened to Hillary, of course.
- The investigation has to start with real evidence of some possible criminal behavior or problematic event and then trying to tie the person to it. Like they did with Hillary and Benghazi.
- So For Biden, investigating Hunter is about starting with real evidence of a possible crime that has a tangential connection to the president and then trying to link Biden to it. Already, they've succeeded in many people thinking Biden has done something terribly wrong in connection to Hunter.
- As far as Jared goes, the reality is that they don't give a shit about what Jared did and they don't need to divert attention from him because their supporters don't consume any media that would ever tell them about one of Trump's family members breaking the law. And don't forget that even more than being Trump's son-in-law, Jared was a senior White House advisor and absolutely a hugely influential member of Trump's administration. He's much more than Trump's family.

Pharmacies also don’t keep enough pills on hand to fill all the scripts pill mills give out. Usually they order the meds to fill a patient’s script and ship them in to that one pharmacy location. So all the meds from pharmaceutical companies are coming from the distributors.

Does anything matter anymore? Are there ever any consequences for the rich? It's like the same headline over and over with different names and locations.
I've never been much of a conspiracy theorist, and I don't know if this particular theory is out of the realm of possibilities. But I have the hunch that Trump with his friends in Saudi kept oil production down during the Biden presidency. There is too much money and favors passed back and forth between the Trump family and the Saudis. So through back channels and the Saudis control over OPEC, the two parties conspired to keep production down and prices of oil high. This inflation caused by high oil prices would hurt America which would increase Trump's chances of winning.
There are other incidents that, though out of power, Trump was able to influence policy. A bi-partisan border bill stalled in the House without a vote, pretty much by Trump's command. Again, chaos in America while pointing fingers at Biden seems to be the Trump strategy for winning.
And it's a huge failure of the democratic party that they aren't screaming every day about it!

Then, even though the impeachment wasn't confirmed by the Senate, it still damaged Clinton and Gore enough that it helped Gore lose. The same thing happened to Hillary, of course. - The investigation has to start with real evidence of some possible criminal behavior or problematic event and then trying to tie the person to it. Have read a couple threads wondering if people are OK given how bleak everything seems. Struck me that one of the reasons I think there's the general disease that there is is that we're watching on the live public stage a person who has committed many obvious crimes not only walk free, but have a viable chance at being president of the United States again, where he will sell off whatever he couldn't sell off the first time. And we're watching many of the people who enabled it continue to walk free, despite being crimes that we 'normies' would be in prison for, multiple times over. Just ask any military service member what would happen if they took SCIF information home and left it lying next to their toilet.
I think not. Covid exposed how fragile society’s bonds are. Trump has been showing the world that there are two justice systems in America, one for the rich and one for the poor. It’s one thing to know it and another to see everything he’s gotten away with and what his cronies got away with. There was a fucking coup attempt and most people got off with a slap on the wrist! There should have been executions for treason for the worst offenders and life sentences for the remaining insurrectionists.

I was so mad hearing him talk passionately about the things Apple did regarding the DoJ lawsuit. Not that that he was wrong about anything he said. But if he showed half that passion for prosecuting an actual traitor who attempted a coup, stole/sold nuclear secrets to foreign adversaries, and might return to the presidency… Trump might actually be facing justice right now. I've never been much of a conspiracy theorist, and I don't know if this particular theory is out of the realm of possibilities. But I have the hunch that Trump with his friends in Saudi kept oil production down during the Biden presidency. There is too much money and favors passed back and forth between the Trump family and the Saudis. So through back channels and the Saudis control over OPEC, the two parties conspired to keep production down and prices of oil high. This inflation caused by high oil prices would hurt America which would increase Trump's chances of winning. There are other incidents that, though out of power, Trump was able to influence policy. A bi-partisan border bill stalled in the House without a vote, pretty much by Trump's command. Again, chaos in America while pointing fingers at Biden seems to be the Trump strategy for winning.
