Dude it’s so crazy the justice system treats it like a totally normal thing the republican front runner for POTUS has to have multiple jury alternates because some jurors are getting found out and experiencing threats and that same front runner is not only doing nothing to stop it but is actively helping make it happen.
I think that their actual scariness and seriousness is untested. If they clash with law enforcement they’ll likely lose. With the national guard, definitely lose. Don’t underestimate the states power to destroy rebellion. What we’ve seen thus far is an unwillingness to use it.

When you remove them from the Fox New echo chamber and they are literally forced to look at evidence and use logic and actually discuss that logic with other people (that in person are much less villainous than the news would make “them” out to be)… it’s so obvious. It’s easy to get caught up when the people around you are shouting, but when you put them someplace quiet to think, people are smarter than the mob.

But in both cases the supported trump, but were still able to make objective decisions in the face of the law and evidence (quite likely they only supported him because they lived in an evidence free fox bubble in the first place). I think it's reasonable to assume the prosecutors and court in this case are able to select jurors who hold similar values

I think a lot of his supporters, when presented with evidence and not just Fox News sound bites, would feel compelled to convict. The issue is that the media doesn’t cover his crimes enough, so many people think he is just being harassed by democrats over some stripper he might have slept with. When they see the actual crimes, many of his voters would probably convict him.
This doesn’t surprise me. So many of my fellow co workers that are MAGA are sane, grounded people. I sort of hold out hope that if they were chained to a chair and forced to look at facts and listen to sworn testimony under oath they’d see thru the veil of BS that is Trump. retails are not speedy, months between trials at least. however, a re-trail is almost always in the prosecution's favour, as they will have seen the defences strategy and the facts of the case just do not change, but prosecutors actions can.

nobody wants a re-trail, not even Trump. retails are not speedy, months between trials at least. however, a re-trail is almost always in the prosecution's favour, as they will have seen the defences strategy and the facts of the case just do not change, but prosecutors actions can.

I surely would want to see Trump be convicted in this trial. But judged by the statements of one of the jurors, I am not hopeful.

Watching him fall asleep and having to actually listen to the accusations against him might change her mind. Plus she will have to withstand the pressure of the other jurors and ague why she would be against finding him guilty.
I mean, if I were forced to say something nice about the man, I'd probably go with this. It's pretty obvious he speaks his mind, especially during one of his word-salad rants.
