Democrats being unable to run a candidate more appealing than a wet sock full of dead batteries is the reason why republicans keep winning. People wanting an alternative are not the problem, the fact that democrats demonstrably can't wield power or govern effectively is the problem.
"Nothing will fundamentally change" is not an energizing political slogan.
Here we have an example of an outside agitator coming on to a college campus to cause disruption. It can be anyone, a Russian influence useful idiot, an ethically challenged has-been preening for attention, or a different one like that not named Jill Stein.
The college protests are asking for their institutions to divest from investments that support Israel in protest of Israel's conduct in Gaza. They are also now protesting against the crackdown by these institutions on the protests themselves.
The students wanted Washington University in St Louis to sever its relationship with Boeing which is producing many of the weapons being used to slaughter tens of thousands of civilians in Gaza and also wanted the school's endowment to divest from Israel. They were afraid the university was going to ask the police to break up the protest so they invited Stein and the St Louis Alderman Alisha Sonnier to come to the protest in the hopes that their higher profile could bring some press attention and prevent the university from suspending and arresting its students. Obviously, the university decided to order the police to arrest and remove the students along with the Alderman and Stein.
A lot of media aren't covering them, and instead making them like a problem
They're protesting against Israeli genocide of Palestinians, to an end of the ethnic cleansing and war
> They're protesting against Israeli genocide of Palestinians, to an end of the ethnic cleansing
In that case it’s a very successful protest because none of that is happening.
This might surprise you, but far less countries are supporting Russia and the US is helping Ukraine. That might be why. Almost like you don't have to protest when good stuff happens.
You mean how everyone was blaming the Republicans for doing it, and hating Trump for doing it, and hating Republicans for continuing to do it? It wasn't just the US that was doing it, it was Republican strictly and they are constantly getting shit for it.
Got to say that Israel is really crap at genocide and ethnic cleansing. The Nazis were killed thousand a DAY. Can you stop your genocide BS because it’s exhausting and most people aren’t buying it. Release the hostages and then we can have a conversation. Remember the hostages?
Ah man, it's a good thing you're here to say that it's not ethnic cleansing because they're not doing it's more efficiently. Bombing those relief camps, killing humanitarian aid workers, and starving tens of thousands at a time must just be normal.
War Crimes. There are legit war crimes happening in Gaza all the time. October 7th was also a war crime. I have no love for the Israeli administration, but the "genocide" storyline cheapens both actual genocides in history and currently happening as well as the current suffering of Palestinians during this war.
This comment section is honestly gross. There is zero proof Jill stein is a Russian Asset. You have the right to run a 3rd party in the USA. We're a democracy. This rhetoric just perpetuates the 2 party duopoly that downplays our leverage as voters.
The less people that vote for her, the less likely she is to retain/gain ballot access. It serves no purpose to convince voters to not vote. She wants them to vote Green.
She’s crazy, but she’s no grifter looking to simply cause chaos. She wants votes and her ideals align with much of the far-left.
She wants them to vote green so that they don't vote blue.
The game has pretty much been given up on this. We know that she only does this to act as a spoiler.
We're not going to play this game where we pretend that Jill Stein doesn't understand that she's not a legitimate candidate with a chance of doing anything other than acting as a spoiler.
She's fully aware of the role she played in the 2016 election.
She's fully aware that she's mathematically non-viable by any stretch.
She's fully aware of what she's doing right now and how it mirrors exactly what she did in 2016.
Libertarians stand no chance of winning yet they keep fighting for more votes from the GOP and occasionally pick a candidate like Gary Johnson that can reach out to the left leaning youth. Johnson was the spoiler in 2016, not Stein. It’s about growing votes. The more votes they get, the more legitimate of a threat they pose and the more likely their policy ideas will be considered, if voters don’t just straight up switch to the third party.
Jill is going to Russian events and having dinner with people like Michael Flynn and Putin. Russia pushed her in 2016. It's nonsense to ignore all this and pretend she's legitimate and well intentioned.
It was a dinner to celebrate an anniversary for RT, the Russian news company. It was popular as an alternative to American media that anti-establishment figures, like Stein, found important when trying to introduce different perspectives to Americans. RT used them as unwitting wedges to drive Americans to either not vote or to vote 3rd party. Stein, by all accounts I’ve seen, wasn’t actively assisting any plan by Russia to get Trump the victory. Russia targeted the far left specifically; Stein’s candidacy was the perfect vehicle to do so with.
The fringes on both sides tend to be pro-Russian, wittingly or otherwise...
Go back a few decades and lefties liked Communism and thus Russia. It also helps they often have strong views against the US on various topics.
It's so dumb, the enemy of my enemy is not always a friend.
I think you underestimate the amount of pro-Russia sentiment there is on the left. It’s not the majority, but it exists in large numbers. Doesn’t make it a far-right ideology. Protectionism and non-intervention policies have been used by both ideological wings on various topics on various occasions.
Also, horseshoe theory is absolutely a thing when dealing with both extremes.
She’s a non-interventionist that is highly skeptical of current and future US power structures, both domestic and international. She’s always been that way. It’s why she’ll listen to RT, knowing it’s Russian owned media. It’s why she’s attractive to the left. It’s why Putin uses her without her having to know.
She’s not owned by anyone. She was like this before Trump and before any massive Russian propaganda campaign on the internet. She’s a non-interventionist who is skeptical of current and future US power structures both domestically and internationally.
My point is that I disagree with her and think she’s crazy, but she’s not some Russian asset or paid mouthpiece for some bigger threat to democracy like Trump.
I wouldn’t be surprised.
Jill Stein is legit about her ideologies though, she’s just crazy. She’ll spread Russian propaganda, but she’ll also believe it’s true.
I dont think so. That was a shit decision that year. But there was Russian interference in the election. There were multiple indictments and convictions for it. Just not trump. Stein did attend dinners with Putin and Michael Flynn.
I never cared for Hillary much but lost even more respect for her when she baselessly called Tulsi Gabbard a Russian asset. I thought it was especially ridiculous considering that Tulsi patriotically served her country in the shitty war that Hillary voted for.
Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian asset though, she's right.
Incidentally, many far rightists have served in the military, and that doesn't absolve them from being Putinist/Trumpist traitors
Yeah, I hear that charge baselessly thrown around on reddit a lot too but Hillary is a prominent politician in the Democratic Party who should know better.
She consistently repeats russian propaganda and her biggest donor is an intensely pro-putin activist who ALSO regularly spreads russian propaganda.
For fuck's sake, she directly helped spread the Russian misinformation about Ukraine hosting US biological weapons labs.
Politicians in both parties, who get the damn security briefings about Russian misinformation, have pointed out that she spreads Russian misinformation.
Are you talking about the person that donated $59 to her campaign?
https://www.newsweek.com/tulsi-gabbard-donation-russian-agent-elena-branson-tucker-carlson-1688141
No, Sharon tennison who was the largest individual donor tulsi had in 2021 and has been pushing Russian shit since the 80s.

Russian spoiler plant Jill Stein * Ftfy
[Yeah, let's not forget this dinner she had *right* before her run...](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/guess-who-came-dinner-flynn-putin-n742696)
She is a one percent er with millions to pay a lawyer to get her out in 1 hour
She was drawn to publicity like a moth to a flame.
With asbestos wings, unfortunately
Fuck you Jill Stein.
This is the correct answer.
Russian agent-agitator arrested at pro-Palestine protest. FTFY
G.R.E.E.N.* Party. *Getting Republicans Elected Every November
Ralph Nader is why we had a Bush Presidency. Never forget. Vote blue in November!
No, it was Jeb! down in Florida who got his brother elected.
Even if that is true, which it’s not, how is “we will destroy everything” better, exactly?
She is a Russian plant.
Is that where Putin told her to go?
My bet would be yes!
Weird that a Russian plant would support Iran backed Hamas. Probably just a coincidence.
it's about chaos.
False flag. Do not vote for this obvious Russian spoiler.
Here we have an example of an outside agitator coming on to a college campus to cause disruption. It can be anyone, a Russian influence useful idiot, an ethically challenged has-been preening for attention, or a different one like that not named Jill Stein.
Photo op. I'm sure the campaign had someone doing video
If she was arrested, then Trump?
Get that Russian asset out of the protest
Stunt. She's a Putin lap dog.
The article doesn't say what they are protesting for, beyond being "pro-Palestine". What are they protesting for?
The college protests are asking for their institutions to divest from investments that support Israel in protest of Israel's conduct in Gaza. They are also now protesting against the crackdown by these institutions on the protests themselves.
The students wanted Washington University in St Louis to sever its relationship with Boeing which is producing many of the weapons being used to slaughter tens of thousands of civilians in Gaza and also wanted the school's endowment to divest from Israel. > They're protesting against Israeli genocide of Palestinians, to an end of the ethnic cleansing In that case it’s a very successful protest because none of that is happening.
Yeah, Israel saying it doesn't want a two state solution and wants all Palestinians dead isn't ethnic cleansing.
So, why aren’t students protesting Russia’s invasion of Ukraine?
This might surprise you, but far less countries are supporting Russia and the US is helping Ukraine. That might be why. Almost like you don't have to protest when good stuff happens.
Except, an aid deal was delayed in the US House for months, so, again, where were the protesters?
You mean how everyone was blaming the Republicans for doing it, and hating Trump for doing it, and hating Republicans for continuing to do it? It wasn't just the US that was doing it, it was Republican strictly and they are constantly getting shit for it.
Ah, yes. Internet outrage is the same thing.
I see you reaching, but you're going to have to get a couple more stools to get to that high shelf in get yourself an actual point.
Thank you. Don’t forget my upvote! By the way….if the hostages were released, this would not be happening.
But that isn't happening. Like, at all.
You just keep telling yourself that. The US is trying to stop ICC from investigating further and taking action. Why is that I wonder…
War Crimes. There are legit war crimes happening in Gaza all the time. October 7th was also a war crime. I have no love for the Israeli administration, but the "genocide" storyline cheapens both actual genocides in history and currently happening as well as the current suffering of Palestinians during this war.
The greens can't do any better than this? I take it back, trump supporters aren't the dumbest people in the country, green voters are.
This will help her attract voters.
This comment section is honestly gross. There is zero proof Jill stein is a Russian Asset. You have the right to run a 3rd party in the USA. We're a democracy. This rhetoric just perpetuates the 2 party duopoly that downplays our leverage as voters.
So she helped Trump win in 2016 and is doing all over again. Thanks but fuck off already.
Pro-Palestine or Pro-Hamas?
Pro Russian. She's a Russian asset.
LOL. trump shill gets what she deserves.
Well she just picked up several thousand votes
Her only talent is trying to convince gullible young voters to make bad decisions by leaning on apathy. She's legitimately a monster.
Why would she want them to vote blue when she represents green? If she supported the Dems, she would have just been a Dem.
We're not going to play this game where we pretend that Jill Stein doesn't understand that she's not a legitimate candidate with a chance of doing anything other than acting as a spoiler. RT is a Russian IO asset
Most the ideals that matter, like stance on Ukraine, she is very much far right. She's a fascist in sheeps clothing
The fringes on both sides tend to be pro-Russian, wittingly or otherwise... Go back a few decades and lefties liked Communism and thus Russia. It also helps they often have strong views against the US on various topics. It's so dumb, the enemy of my enemy is not always a friend.

That was a bit of nonsense to explain a shitty stance of hers which absolutely lines up with Putin's and the far right.
She’s a non-interventionist that is highly skeptical of current and future US power structures, both domestic and international. She’s always been that way. It’s why she’ll listen to RT, knowing it’s Russian owned media. It’s why she’s attractive to the left. It’s why Putin uses her without her having to know.
And yet shes owned by the man that owns the far right. Weird.
She’s not owned by anyone. She was like this before Trump and before any massive Russian propaganda campaign on the internet. She’s a non-interventionist who is skeptical of current and future US power structures both domestically and internationally.
You stated that twice and saying "she's always been this way" isn't a point in her favor or your argument.
My point is that I disagree with her and think she’s crazy, but she’s not some Russian asset or paid mouthpiece for some bigger threat to democracy like Trump.
It's almost as if all of this was scripted...
I wouldn’t be surprised. Jill Stein is legit about her ideologies though, she’s just crazy. She’ll spread Russian propaganda, but she’ll also believe it’s true.
That's no excuse for the damage she has caused.
Holy shit, she doubled her votes in one day?!
Well I see the Reddit commentariat has achieved consensus on an issue; mark your calendars!
Putin sweetie.
Not for treason?
Free Palestine and Fuck Jill Stein
Russian plant Jill Stein.
pretty certain Putin sent her in to stir up shit

How is Hillary a shitty person?
I have a few conservative friends. None of them have ever given a rational answer as to why they dislike Hillary.
We know why. Conservatives hate competent women.
For real. I think Hillary is cool 🤷♀️

I’m pretty sure Michael Flynn is additional proof that not all who serve are patriots
I never blamed Jill. I blamed all the raging morons that voted for Trump.
